My wife and i always fly Royal Brunei from Melbourne to Manila via Brunei.
An absolutely wonderful airline. When we leave this week we're flying home business class and cannot wait for the experience.
My favourite airline ! Have taken business class 5 return trips to London from Melbourne. Exactly as you said at the end... just a fantastic experience.

Travel business Class 9K to LHR and return in Economy class with Royal Brunei Airlines, nice crew, great service and of course, there could be more rooms for Improvements. Great trip report.

not for me. no alcohol. They used to serve champagne during their golden years in FIRST CLASS

Nice to see a report from my home airport, Melbourne. I understand that Royal Brunei will allow you to bring on board wine, that you have purchased at the terminal, and will serve it for you. Thanks for a great video.

Yes you can bring your own. But I don't need it - and it might not be the best idea to drink a full bottle of wine by yourself within 6 hours when you know you have 20 hours of flying after that... (every airport you stop you have to pass security again)
well they used to serve champagne in FIRST CLASS. I would have two bottles of bubbles

RB war mal die LUXUSAIRLINE schlechthin. In FIRST CLASS goldene Wasserhähne. Champagner Die seinerzeit bequemsten Schlafsessel. Ich erinnere mich an einen FRA-DXB Flug mit denen. A Castle in the air!!!
Heute Ein Schatten ihrer selbst. Ich bin froh, dass ich die luxuriösen Seiten erleben durfte.

Not only a dry airline because there is no alcohol and there is no pork as well. Hope RBA can make it through at this challenging period.
They served champagne in FIRST CLASS a Long time ago….
Even though it is a dry airline they do offer very good Business Class flights to many destinations. You can have a drink with the duty free you bring on board...if you want a gin and tonic they will provide the tonic. Hope your nuts were warm !! Thanks mate...great deal !! Well done !!

No, on a third party site. The ticket had a huge discount probably. If you hear 475€ London-Melbourne roundtrip with luggage.

Yes the 3 flights from London to Melbourne went by like a breeze. And Business Class on a 7h flight was a first for me in 2018!
The airline really is royal, my goodness these look delicious! Lucky you flew em before this virus, however, you said you flew Malaysia Airlines from a Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, how was it?

Brunei is a Muslim country. Liquors not only banned on planes but in the country itself too. We get used to it and totally fine with it.
Total hopeless if something goes wrong, no customer service whatsoever.

This most be an older video or did you get the planes age wrong you said the plane was built in 2014 and it was four years old or did you mean to say six years old?
The age displayed always refers to the day the flight was taken. It was 4 years old in 2018 (Thats when I took this flight).
Now in 2020 the aircraft is 6 years old - correct. The delivered date shows the right age when the video gets older.
Makes sense?
@@PlaneSpottingBerlin No it makes no sense if the plane was delivered in 2014 then you filmed this in 2018. I understand very well when the plane was built and delivered. Simple ?? did you film this in 2018 or 2020 there is no need to write a story on it either you filmed it in 2018 making the aircraft 4 years old or you filmed it in 2020 making it six years old which one is it in english.
Like i said in the video. Recorded in April 2018!

Like your video, but not Royal Brunei based on their recent human rights discrimination, but you flew them 2018, so your forgiven :)
Every airline should be "dry" way to many people getting drunk and causing problems for hard working crew and passengers.
Sensible lad taking your shoes off after climbout - only idiots take shoes off on the ground, evacuation in slippers is not good!
The amenity kit is almost the same as Emirates economy class. Looking forward to 2/3 and 3/3 .... you got me hooked :)
I go for champagne and no no Airline should be dry . All flight attendants know how to solve the problems with a drunken passengers. As a former T.W.A. flight Crew member I have NEVER EVER experienced any problems with drunken guests.
So start thinking before you publish a well strange comment

Your trip report is interesting. However, it raises the question about just where we draw the line when it comes to human rights.
Last year Brunei introduced legislation that would allow death by stoning for homosexuality. So whilst we as travellers enjoy the freedom of flight, in that country suffering is created for individuals the regime chooses to persecute.
