Bajaj targetting the aspiring middle class Indian. You may not be attracted by the design, but this will sell because of its competative price. 1.85 lacs is a steal deal.
I don't care about all those controversies and discussions around the Bajaj brand or the Pulsar brand, I just see this as a great value for money motorcycle. As Rishad said you are getting "a lot of motorcycle" for this price. At the end of the day it's a great great value for money overall package which you can't ignore. It has got everything you need. From my perspective, whatever I wanted the bike has got it and even more.
I don’t get why Bajaj is so stubborn with that swing arm. Make it look sportier. It still looks way too cheap 🤷🏻♂️ Other than that I think I like the bike.
Ihv used a dominar for 4 years. It was a wonderful bike for touring...fast as well. This bike 19kgs lighter with a aggressive mapping will definitely be a good bike. People complaining about Bajaj can keep complaining but for that price it's a steal!
Looks may be subjective but for the price the feature list is really commendable. At this price one instead of getting R15 or any other 250cc bikes one can get a 400cc motorcycle which uses a reliable and proven engine. All the necessary electronic electronics are there, the chassis is better compared to the counterparts. I hope the specs sheets translate to a fun riding experience in the real world as well.
Yep. Looks and sounds like great fun, let's just hope it is too. As you said, all the ingredients are in place and the price is amazing. Even if they raise it to 2 lakh, for a 390 Duke engine, that is a steal
@@rahuldash3332 well, Dominar's engine is just a detuned version of Duke 390's engine (last gen 373 cc engine). And it's detuned to be less frantic and more friendly than 390. So it is actually duke 390's engine.
Dominar uses old gem Duke engine. Why would they fuk up their premium ktm and triumph sales by putting latest spec engine in pulsar and price it under 2 lakh?
Waiting for the Adventure bike, NS400X maybe, based on this one. Hopefully with a 19 inch front wheel, higher ground clearance, longer wheelbase, tank capacity of 15 litres and a redesigned light.
True😂 the pulsar is the most hazy name in the bike arena.. different cc, different character bikes still the same name - Pulsar Maybe this bike is more 'dominar street' than a pulsar ns400z
I had the first gen pulsar. This product line has been so much refined so far. But I have been waiting for an automatic motorcycle, specially for urban commute. That would make these machines sell like hot cakes. Hopefully we’ll get one day.
No man, automatic - and motorcycles - somehow the idea doesn't gel too well....There is something charming about using the clutch, gear, learning clutchless up/downshifts through rev-matching and so on... There are a few bikes like Africa Twin which has DCT transmission as one of the options - but any real rider who loves motorcycles would want to learn the ability of using gears to the fullest on his or her own rather than some system doing it for you!! For convenient short commute, there are always scooters!
It's not the fact that it's bad... It's the fact that such a big step for the Pulsar brand comes with very minimal changes in design to establish it as the beast of a machine that it really is (according to the price point)... Moreover, the little changes that are there, are not exactly eye candy. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but the headlight design is pretty weird I'd say. It's neither fully NS, nor N and not even a great mixture of both either... It's not super ugly or anything, just not something we'd expect from Bajaj given its past designs, and given the fact that it's such a big step for the whole company, and most definitely the Pulsar brand
If they put the new-gen KTM or Triumph engine in this and then sell it at a similar affordable price, who will buy their premium motorcycles then? They need to differentiate their brands.
May be because dominor engine is a successful engine.. u know.. sometimes, the brand reaches a point where they have done their best for a 400cc or any cc.. if u see Honda IVTEC, instead of changing, they made sure all the customer reviews are addressed and after years, now IVTEC has reached the saturation point, u knownryt, the best refined engine.. same goes to the engine with the RE 650s have, well refined, no need of twerking at all.. similarly Bajaj also had DTSI which was well balanced untill BS4 when Fuel Injection became a mandate.. since then, after all the research and reviews, the 373cc is the saturation point of Bajaj. Yes it's shared with KTM but that's okay, that's their limit. Now the next big thing would be NS400 facelift next year of May be in 2026 when they will introduce NS400Z with the 399cc engine which Dukes have now.. so a Dominor and NS400 facelift in 2026 is most likely.. this one that we see today is just a mere stock clearance of the 373cc engines which were leftout for Dominor whose sales have dropped tremendously.. Just business..
The weight that the dominar should have always been . We have got to thank Anand Bajaj for never backing down from making an Indian version of what a sports bike should be and he has finally got a pulsar family design. Hope they have a nice RS version.

Should've looked better if done in solid colours. Unnecessary decals ruining it as usual, par kya karein bhai, chhapri logon toh stickers hi pasand aayenge 😑
This is my exact complaint with every Indian brand; but yeah that last statement is true. Plus it won't be hard to wrap it into more solid colours, and the aggressive pricing definitely leaves room for mods
While I would normally agree with you about the excess decals being used, a few days ago the NS400Z was leaked in solid red without any decals. TBH this looks so much better.
Bajaj should have been the one to realize that the Novelty Factor is one big reason that help Big bikes in sales. That Design is so Outdated and the bike looks so similar to any other Pulsar that there's almost no appeal to this! I can'y believe this is the same company that is driving the Bike Market nuts with KTM and Triumph
