More so to a women than a man to man. The guy in the store led me to the cheapest carpet by the way I looked with my hair tied back and t-shirt and jeans on and telling me this was more affordable than the ones I as looking at. In Home Depot the sink I wanted to purchase was told I could not afford that sink. Don't be saying such stupidity when you don't even swipe my debit card to see if I can pay for that. Even my husband know women are mistreated that way often and warns car mechanics when I would take the car in for service or repairs cause they are big time bad for ripping you off.

All women know the sometimes immense difference between "natural" and top styled. In certain stores, you are judged and even condemned at a glance. I don't go to Chanel or other stores that have security on the door, but even in "cheaper" expensive stores I don't dare go in if I don't look right in my opinion, because I wouldn't feel comfortable. We stopped over at Sydney Harbour and we were looking for breakfast, and approached an empty French restaurant and asked if they offered breakfast (they were open and it was 11am) where the one staff member there simply said they didn’t serve fries.

I do this all the time with retailers. When I’m going to be dropping serious cash, I go dressed for the gym or in some other nondescript clothing. I even wore sweats to buy a car. I walked around the showroom for 30 minutes before I had to approach someone myself. I find the whole thing very intriguing and I love being able to prove their assumptions wrong. It’s a sickness I have! Lol!
I don't dress up to the nines when I go lux shopping, so far with LV, Gucci,YSL and Neiman's, hubby and I were treated well. I just go there in my shorts sometimes, no make-up just comfy clothes. There were times when you could only enter by appointment but that was Covid era(21~22). How the staff handled her case was wrong tho, I was in line a few times for some items but the staff was very friendly handling it. Got my number to call me when they are ready so I won't waste my time standing there. We all deserve great Customer service for lux purchases, these Brands should fire staff with attitude like this.
