I said the same thing: best value under 250 when you consider the full package and i've tested a few in the 200 prince range already. The enjoyment is on par with my Hype4 but with a more laid back presentation and a slight decrease in tonality and layering. In other words it is less intense & analytical but sometimes fits better situations. I prefer the faceplate on the advertised page rather than the simple deep blue one, some peoples got lucky on that. (cyan w gold sparkles that compliment the gold branding). Myer cables are also top tier in term of feeling and design.
I like these better so far compared to the CKLVX. In my opinion, the D41 is too tame and safe, particularly in how it doesn’t seem to utilize the midbass rise in its tuning. With the Sliivo I hear a greater effort in accentuating bass guitar and other forms of bass, but it doesn't pull as many details or have as much quantity/sustain as the Hype 4. Funny enough, it sounds like with any song I've heard so far, there's a constant attempt at maintaining as many of the frequencies as possible, but not in a totally balanced way. For instance, compared to the Hype 4, it sometimes sounds like the Sliivo can't decide how much low end warm it should keep alive in comparison to the finer details of the treble, but then there are other times where it's the reverse. More tonal balance than detail balance. Even so, i don't hate anything about the Sliivo MK2. I can vibe with it whenever I want something that sounds more "honestly" "flat" sounding compared to the Studio 4. In fact, to me this simply sounds like a better version of the Studio 4 as the instruments have more of that "excitement" i prefer. Only issue is the detail retrieval and resolution. Hype 4 is still *my* baby haha Edit: honestly, to me the Sliivo sounds like the Hype 4 and Studio 4 combined, but cheap. The vocals and instruments are better on the sliivo compared to the CKLVX (more versatility in tone and timbre and clarity), although there are times when the CKLVX brings in some sparkle and shimmer that the Sliivo lacks. Studio 4 might be "flat" sounding, but it lacks texture and passion, something the Sliivo has a respectable amount of, though not to the caliber of the Hype 4.
I might have to grab this one sometime in the future. 🤔 I'm thinking one reason you might like the mids better on the SL-41 vs the D41 (other than possible tuning differences) may be that the SL-41 supposedly uses 2 Knowles BAs for the mids and 2 custom BAs for the highs. The D41 has the same driver configuration but uses all custom BAs based on the information I've seen. Thank you for another great review! 👍
Excuse me? I'm looking into buying IEMS and I have a budget of £220. I have looked through a variety of your videos and looked at your tier list. I was wondering if the Maze Alba can fit in there somewhere? If so how does it compare to the IEM stated in this video? I tried finding comparisons but no where I look can I find a answer :(

Now I'm back and I stumbled upon your channel. Would this IEM be a suitable upgrade in your opinion? I am mostly concerned about the fit, since Timeless isn't the best fit to my ears, and I would say that I have average ear size. I also use Samsung Buds2 for outside.

Wish I just took the risk and picked these up when they first came out. Now I think if I were to spend the money, I'd likely be more inclined to get the Juzear Butterfly 61t
As an owner myself of the D41, I love the shell design and everything else especially for their price, but if I had to nitpick on something, I personally think that their bass feels huge and impactful but lacks a little bit in detail and texture (I don't think I have a faulty unit or anything, since they still sound really good). Do you feel the same with yours? And if you do, do you think these new Sliivo are better in that regard? Because I'm enjoying the D41 a lot, but I also love other sets that are way more analytical and neutral (like the Hexa, for example), so I wouldn't mind to try these too but I'm trying to figure out if this SL41 could be an actual upgrade for my taste, or something in the same league with just a different tuning approach. Thanks in advance, it's just that I'm desperately trying to fight the hype since it seems that Myer Audio is dropping new banger sets every few weeks and I don't think I can financially keep up with them ahah :)
@@luvingyouu Thanks but that's not the case, actually I think that the D41 have a very good fit on me, they are really comfy to wear and seal very nicely despite their chonkyness :) I tried them with their stock tips, Spinfit W1, CP100, CP145 and Moondrop Spring Tips with my Truthear Shio (dual CS43198) and Topping DX1 (AK4493S) using both 3.5mm and 4.4mm cables to see if something changed (and tonality does obviously, at least a little bit depending on the tips' bore wideness) but bass always feels a little bloated and not as crisp as I would like it to be. It's not really a complaint, I like them a lot and I'm still convinced that they're one of the best options in their price range right now even though they could have some room of improvement in some ways, it was just an observation due to my personal experience (that may vary, that's why I was asking).
I can confirm that the DD on the SL41 is a bit more technical than the one in the pula02/cklvx. That's the thing I complained also when owning the pula02, a slight low/muddy midbass. This I think impacted the staging to some extend. The SL41 takes the good of his bro and improves on its issues making it a slight upgrade, either way the value are nuts on both considering the tonality and technicals.
I wonder if the shell size difference would make too much difference in sound or one could just slap the tuning of the other and see how the other one sounds considering they most likely use the same drivers.

@@mpeskett I think these would work fine for a guitarist, it’s been a long time since I’ve tried the IE600, I forget how the sound isolation was. Me personally I like my Meteor because it’s unvented BA so the isolation is amazing. I love that Timmy pedal haha so good!

Hey man can I ask a question? I’ve been primarily sticking with low impedance budget iems with my apple dongle and they’ve been fine but I do need to crank it to 70% (Chu 2s are what I normally use) when I go on commute. I’ve been eyeing the Sliivos as basically the last iem I’ll ever buy but I saw that it has a high impedance with a lower sensitivity (compared to Chu 2s). Do I need an amp? I have an IPhone 8 plus. @@L0faBred I use the SL-41 with an apple dongle. That said it is the North American apple dongle, if yours is the European dongle it would be less powerful.
What is the appropriate headphone? I don’t want brightness at all, and I don’t want a sound that changes depending on the video or player. I tried so many types, all of them are bad. Brightness and weak sound, around $100 and coming down.
It is soooo good. I have it on Orange Penon eartips and a Hakugei Soaring Dragon cable. It takes it to a whole another level. You need to take your sweet time to burn in the Hakugei cable though (200hrs will get you most of the way).
Personally I found this set sound worse than the cklvx. Honestly to my ears it sounds like a 50$ iem at best espically with techs, so im not sure if my unit is faulty or its just me. Umm myer-audio said that its not a fautly set since it "passed" their tests. Overall I still prefer cklvx unless I can take a listen to another unit of the sliivo mk2 to make sure my own one isn't faulty. Otherwise it sounds alright.

I would say this is a good upgrade to timeless. Less energy in the upper treble but to me this is much better overall. Appreciate you stopping by :)

I personally found the bass a bit more punchy on this one over the D41. Not quite DaVinci level but it’s better to me personally.
What tips and source do you use for d41? Also make sure it is properly inserted in your ears and has no sound leak.

I have doubts about the color. Some people show them light blue, others looks like some ziigaat IEM with sparkles like doscinco.

Does it make sense to purchase PULA 02 when I own Sliivo 41?
They’re different enough I guess… if 02 is actually same as CK-D41. But I prefer this.
They are too similar to justify the buy imo unless you really want the tuning change of the earlier, there is also some trade of with pa02.
6.2mm is *WidE*
It doesn’t fit ultra deep, otherwise it’d cause me comfort issues but it’s a decently shallow fit
