I found this useful US made tool on Amazon to remove the FI fuel hose connection from the gas tank of my WR250F: Lisle 37140 Disconnect Pliers, 45 Degree. Keep up the great videos! Thanks!
Morgan THANKS for all you do. Your channel is awesome, this latest content is so interesting,… I know it’s a lot of work making content. Keep up the great work, we will keep watching :)
I want to see this machine on some gnarly off-road not the open Sandy stuff that they’ve demoed it on. If I’m riding there, I’ll just take my old YZ and pin it. Hope this bike splits the difference between my old one and my TX 300. Reliability parts availability… My whole crew is really pumped.
As of a few months ago, fantic wasn't going to export these to the US as part of the agreement with yamaha. Id imagine parts availability will be inconvenient since everything will have to be imported from Europe. But Things could have changed within the last several months and maybe im wrong...
@@highlandcycles Cool. I’m very interested in one of these. Really curious to see how you end up liking this. It’s basically a unicorn on paper. My current bike lacks a counter balancer, so I’m pretty used to vibrations 😂
Hard to say exactly but the cases and cylinder are definitely different but similar. All the rest, we will have to wait til I need to replace something
This bike is supposedly licensable / street legal. I would love for you to throw the blinkers and mirrors on it at some point and see if you can indeed get it licensed in Colorado. I'm sure they are a bit more lax then California, but I'd love some content on the hassle or not of getting one registered. To get a two-stroke that runs "Like A Bat Out of Hell" licensed anywhere, especially in California, with the way the laws are going, makes this bike a "SUPER UNICORN"
I think that it needs six gears, a balancer shaft and a better protected clutch slave cylinder before it can be a serious threat to the Austrian bikes.
All of that would be nice for sure. The gearbox won’t happen until there is a frame/case change. There isn’t room unfortunately. Hopefully someone will make some kind of guard for that slave because it scares me. And it vibrates less than my counter balanced beta. It’s is more vibey than my KTM though.
If you’re using this for enduro type stuff. Chances are you’ll never even need a 6th gear unless you’re on connecting trails that are long straights. I have over 300 hours on my enduro bike, and have had it in 6th gear for maybe 30 minutes total ride time?
I am a little confused. The bikes on the Fantic company app don't have all the street legal stuff yours has. I didn't even see a bike with those items available. Crazy.
@ are you a dealer for them ? Or just brought in the one ? We might be seeing more Fantic with less Yamaha Motori minarelli was entirely sold by Yamaha to Fantic
These clips are cool, but I personally prefer longer vids on channels I truly have an interest in. @@highlandcycles I get it, you don't know til you try it. Sorry if my comment came across as me expressing disappointment, that was not my intent. REALLY looking forward to watching this series! Thanks!
Street legal anywhere in Europe (it's been around for a year or so here) though they come in the race version and you fit the street stuff yourself or the dealer does. BUT they are then restricted down to 15hp which is normal, my 200EXC is officially 11hp and my 450 12hp. It's the way it is. Enduro bikes must be road registered to race F.I.M. events.

@@MotoPete200 thank you so much.
Sounds good Morgan, Totally understand wanting to touch that throttle good job Resisting.🤘
Yes it does!
Just curious as to why he didn’t touch the throttle? Does it need to sit at idle for a specific amount of time when brand new?
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Thanks for mentioning morgan, i hope it will prevent someone else there bike from going true all the figuring out that i had to do!
For sure
I really hope this bike is going to workout for you it does look sweet🤟
I hope so too!
When your done putting the bike together tell us every part of the fantic that is yz
Pretty cool 🤙🤙

They say domino.
Love it... keep it going... 💯

The Fantic is designed with cooperation with Yamaha based on the YZ 250.
ICW rad protection
Will you have a way to communicate with the bikes software?
Working on that

I do love the colour combination, but that fuel connection to tank looks vulnerable
Fuses might be Euro style, perhaps double check for US settings. Use the US ratios might be best for the oil, water and gas too! 😂
Turn up the idle!

How much of the motor is actually the same as the yz I was told it’s not the same at all fantic designed it themselves?

Are u going to get an fmf pipe and silencer and renthal 7/8 or twin wall bars plus get a boyesen clutch cover and water pump set up
I’ll be putting an FMF spark arrestor on it and my bars.
Maybe it has to be in gear to turn on traction control

Luckily in the UK we don't need lights or blinkers or mirrors to get our dirt bikes road legal. Just a horn
Don’t need blinkers here. I will be doing that soon.

@ exactly! It’s nice for transfers but unnecessary 85-90% of the time.
can I use silicone in place of apoxy?
Yes
Hey Morgan you never answered the question you asked.. does it have the same amount of vibration as the yz??
I don’t know yet. Haven’t ridden them back to back yet. It vibrates less than the beta though.
We were messaging about this the other day but have you pulled the spark plug out of the bike?
Yes. It came with a BR9ES in it and a 7ES in the box
How was the vibration
Not bad. Better than my beta
Is that a side access air box?
Yep
It’s annoying that Yamaha could do this with very little effort.
@ yep.
Yo Morgan did you run the 36mm keihin pwk on your 18 XC300?
Also I am still disgusted that you blatantly blew up the game changer. If I lived close by I would have stopped by to swear in your face about that
Hahahaha. I did run the 36 on the 18
👍👍
I probably missed it but what is the weight on it?
254 full of gas
@@highlandcycles just curious, how does that compare to the beta full of gas?
Is it counter balanced?
No
5:15 its called potting and you should be using selleys kwik grip rubber glue or silicon.
2 part epoxy is too hard.
Good to know
