    1.Bc7 attacking the Queen. 1. ... Qd7 (only move for the Queen), 2.Nd6+ and Black's only legal move is to play 2. ... Qxd6 losing the Queen for two Knights.

    Bc7 forcing queen to go on d7 only safe square now comes Nd6+ and black has to give up his queen for 2 minor pieces.

    11:40 When white castles 0-0-0, black must avoid the trap Nxf3, as this will loose the queen after Bb5+. But Qxa2 (after castling) should win.

      How would Black lose the Queen?
      Couldn't the check be blocked by c6?

      @@michaelrobinson2687 11:40 It is White's turn. Please note, that the Rook on d1 has an eye to Qd5, and can simple capture the queen:
      0-0-0 Nxf3?? -- Bb5+ c6 -- RxQd5.

    Puzzle Answer: Bc7 , Qd7(forced else you lose queen) Nd6+ forces you to take the knight with the queen.

    Bc7, and after ..Qd7 the knight moves to Nd6+ forcing a trade of queen for knight.

  • @張謙-n3l
    @張謙-n3l ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The winning move should be Nd6+? Black will have 2 options, one will be Qxd6 and lose a queen for a knight. Another will be Kd7, but then the king would no longer be guarding the g7 pawn, so Nxg7 will be a fork on the queen and rook.

    • @attilacsaji6131
      @attilacsaji6131 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good, but not the best... It1s win "only" a Rock (after Qa5+), but Bc7 win the Queen!!!

    • @heavenyeahh1196
      @heavenyeahh1196 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are a fool. If you get the rook by ng7, your knight be trapped after taking the rook when the king goes back to e8. If you want a free rook, you could just nc7. You should quit chess.

  • @SudhirKishor6603
    @SudhirKishor6603 ปีที่แล้ว

    At 5:20 black could capture the knight on f3 forking the king and the queen .. and on next move grab the black queen with ours 😌

  • @x3r0prime45
    @x3r0prime45 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I feel like it's Nc7 not Bc7... Nc7 gives the opponent the choice of giving you the rook for free or the queen for 1 minor piece. where as Bc7 give the queen for 2 minor pieces which is actually losing because you are already down a minor piece. also if the give up the rook for free you can then bring the Bishop to c7 protected by the knight forcing the queen to e8 behind the king, then Qg4 pins the pawn on e6 to the king allowing lots of checkmating threats with rook or pawn.

  • @johnstevenson9956
    @johnstevenson9956 ปีที่แล้ว

    In the Bishop's opening, if he defends the E Pawn with the F Pawn instead of the Queen, doesn't that bring the whole thing to a screeching halt?

  • @heavenyeahh1196
    @heavenyeahh1196 ปีที่แล้ว

    The puzzle depends on if you want to win a free rook or trade a knight for a queen. Nc7 wins the rook on a8 for free without losing the knight. However, if you want to trade it for a queen, then Bc7, forcing the queen to d7. Then Nd6 check, the only move for black is to capture with Queen on d6, then Bd6 wins the queen. Bishop can also get free after this capture, white won the queen for two knights.

    • @niravapurv4578
      @niravapurv4578 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rook isent free tho because white already sacrificed a knight. So it should be better to get the queen for 2 knights than the rook for one knight... anyway. good point. both variations are good for white.. but one is like 3 matierial pionts up with getting the queen (means more trades = lesser risk of black getting back into the game) versus 2 material points up and black stil has the queen to try win something back.

    I like Bc7, though
    Nc7+ Kd7 could lead to fireworks, perhaps
    Bb5
    Guess I'd trade off on the d file and castle long asap while his King was paralysed.
    **note to self - I am not going to try this against Igor**

    Still not the best at calculating but I think it's winning the queen via 9. Bc7 Qd7 10. Nd6+ Qxd6 11. Bxd6

    I feel like these aren't the five biggest beginner mistakes at all, just 5 interesting openings & traps to play or watch out for, so it's badly named, this video. Which is a pity because I really like your videos and am thinking of buying your course when I can spare the money. But mistitled clickbait videos don't inspire me with trust.
    I'm more of an intermediate than a beginner player, but I've never done club, or had lessons, so I make certain rookie errors. And a "most common beginner mistakes" video would be something I want, because I still make some. If I can get past the opening safely I usually do alright, and my strategy at the moment is just to attack and trade off constantly because end games are my strength. But I need to be able to play openings properly. And although I know the basics well, I still end at the start of a middle game in a worse position than my opponent 8 times out of 10, no matter whether I'm playing black or white. What am I doing wrong? This is the video I'm looking for, and I hoped this would be it because your others are so good. Disappointing.
