    This channel teaches the most surprising and unexpected, but at the same time, brilliant openings. All openings I'm using now are from this channel.

    I strongly recommend you to consider renaming all of your videos in past as well as in the future. For instance, this one could be named "Goring Gambit #2" or "Goring Gambit. Part 2" depending on your stylistic preferences. Same goes for Rousseau Gambit parts and many (or even all) your videos. It would make it easier to find them on your channel via "Search" button (even though I simply save them in specific folders but lets not forget about others).

      You should be able to pick up on the patterns based on which moves the enemy decides to make, categorising things by "gambits" is not a good way to play chess, unless you're extremely serious and extremely passionate about the game. But in that case, there are much more efficient resources out there for studying openings, theory, gambits, tricks, etc. Content like this serves mostly as entertainment.

    Although I am a 1. d4 player now, when I play 1. e4 I always play the Goring Gambit. It’s such an easy to learn, attacking opening and scores ridiculously high

    At 3:19 after ...Bg4 white's continuation is riddled with many problems,
    1. Qb3 Na5 forking the bishop and the queen, there seems to be no good continuation after this,
    Lets consider Qb5+, after c6 attacking the queen and defending the black knight with Queen, white doesn't have a great continuation. While black is at a disadvantage when plugging in the position in analyzer there is no decisive advantage.

    This is like starting a table tennis player on long pips. Yea, they will get to 1400 or 1600 on that alone. And then collide with a solid brick wall when they meet the players that have played against it plenty of times *and* have a wealth of fundamentals and experience in addition. And thus is where the long pips or chess gambit player quits the game, faced with no other choice but to accept a decline in rating as they inevitably have to circle back to learn all the fundamentals anyway.

    • @tobias4411
      @tobias4411 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, d5 is best by black since all five available squares for the knight is bad for black. Always look for a counter attack when no good moves. Continuation: 8.e5 d5 9.exf dxc 10.Qe2+ Be6 (blocks) 11.fxg Re8 12.Bg5 Qd3 13.Qxd cxd 14.Bf6 and White is still slightly better.+0.50

    Genuine Question: Why play the goring gambit instead of the Danish? I often reach a similar position but with the danish you don't have to learn petrov theory.

    • @adamtheamazing4411
      @adamtheamazing4411 ปีที่แล้ว

      You avoid the qe7 line i guess but its basically the same thing also against petrov theres a fun gambit called the boden kieseritsky that you could play

    After all these variants I see it is better for black to play 4. - d5 instead of dxc3.

  • @JustACuteFox
    @JustACuteFox 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This line is a gambit but you didnt actually show what the *good* line is for Black to play against it. Surely, White should be prepared for whatever the main line is and to potentially have to work from a disadvantage due to their gambit, yes?
