Touhou Fantasia was the first Touhou game I ever played, canon or otherwise. It's actually a good way to introduce someone to the gameplay if for some odd reason they don't wanna go through the journey of buying the game on Steam and applying a patch.
Plus, even though I don't delve too deep into fan characters, this is one of my favorite non-canon scenarios. A girl just pops up in Reimu's dream and challenges her to a battle. Simple, but very in tune with Touhou.
