Another fun fact about the XJ220: when testing the engine, Jaguar mounted it in a Ford Transit so that anyone spying on them would just see a van, not a brand new supercar. The legacy of this is that there is, to this day, a Transit with over 600 hp, capable of speeds exceeding 160mph.

This video raises so many questions. If Elton John is the XJ220 of people then what does that make me? What kind of car would a person like Usain Bolt be? And does this mean that the XJ220 is musically inclined?
I think Usain Bolt would be a Bugatti Veyron. More to the point, what cars would the Oxbox/Oxtra crew be?

I love when mike plays. I honestly can't tell if how he plays is a thing for the cameras or just him (i.e. Hitman) but it is really good fun

Ben Tennyson you realise it's less than 10 days till early access. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some bugs when it's already released
Tremendouz 10 days is plenty of time to finish off.
Horizon 3 has been out for a long time and it still has some bugs. It's not guaranteed everything will be noticed let alone fixed at launch.

enjoyed this more than i expected to.
All modern games seem to do this mainly to encourage you to spend on a microtransaction but I remember the days when part of the fun of unlocking an item was finding out what it was.

That Shark Car (ironically I just saw a kids show with a car race and a shark car) really looks the part of the old Belly Tank racers with the livery like that. So I like it.

I agree mike. I've driven some seriously powerful cars and some of them are next to undriveable. Too Much to be fun on the streets.

I had "Jaguar XJ220" for the SEGACD.
It's the only supercar I would buy if I had the money.
man gotta admit this looks absolutely amazing, those rain physics and visuals are incredible. There's only one game, as a playstation player, that I wish we had and that's Forza :( Seems like PS doesn't have any decent track racing games like this, I guess until Gran Turismo eventually comes out.
On any racing game, I dread the time that I have to race at Nurburgring!

I liked that you just straight up opened with a joke. Shark livery is ridiculous! Obviously Ferrari are famous for irregular lime green and fuschia stripes! Famously developed for use as camouflage on tanks in the Italian airforce in the '20s

So the XJ's windscreen was definitely being cleared, but the wipers weren't actually moving.
I want to add open wheel racing to mine so bad. Also the XJ220 has four turbos with huge lag, I imagine unless you are really asking for it, the engine is pretty sedate. it also surprises me how few people know of that car, despite it being the fastest car in the world for a few years.
edit the top speed of the car was in fact 222 mph recorded at the nardo speed track and it was in fact called the 220 because that was it's intended top speed.
You say its 4k, but you upload in 1080p- kinda defeating the porpoise of it being in 4k.
The main thing I'm hoping to see in this game is some more aggressive AI. In pretty much every racing game it's too easy to keep opponents behind you because they're always too polite and timid, so unless you *really* lose speed or go off the track you essentially never get passed. Any evidence of more aggressive AI in this entry...? Kinda looks the same as before based on the bit of footage I've seen.
TheMistyBlueLounge ive seen a youtuber and he said the Ai are still agressive but sensible not over the top. But they will still trade paint and dive to pass and sorts
