    Why throw a mamba on a 158 ft hole? Just use a putter or a midrange. It’s DISTANCE driver. Also if that disc is just slightly turning, then you aren’t throwing hard enough with enough speed. At -5 it should be turning completely if thrown properly.

      I think older people use the Mamba to get maximum distance.

      the mamba is good for beginner power to throw air shots. but any skills after that, and you have to be careful with your angle and throw softer otherwise its an absolute roller disc. I love it personally and I really like throwing air shots with it. I tend to throw is around 350 feet with absolute ease. I don't have to throw full power to reach 350 and its nice to have a disc that can do that.

    One of the things I really liked about disc golf when I first got into it was how great and supportive the community was. The comments under this video are making me reassess that.

      I agree you shouldn't even be thinking about using a distance driver on a hole like this but to each their own

      You can also cut steak with chopsticks, and shoot baskets with a soccer ball. But that is not what those items are designed for. As an “instruction” video, discs should be properly explained by what they are designed to do. Mambas are distance drivers.

    So, let me get this straight…never listen to friends who tell you to get a particular disc, but everyone should have a Mamba in their bag, is that it?
    Seriously, I’ve been throwing a 158g Mamba for years and it’s my most reliable disc.

    When a disc gets more broken in it becomes more understable correlationg to turn on the flight number

      It should act the same way just in the opposite direction in terms of fade and turn. See this video and SUBSCRIBE for more info! Everything You Need To Know About Disc Golf: th-cam.com/video/x7ZcijERwn0/w-d-xo.html

    This is a roller disc. End of story. Furthermore, I wouldn't say everyone should bag this. I do own one but don't bag it. It's good for noobs to get distance. It acts as a stable disc for most beginners.

    you're getting into different weights here, and basically asking people to play around with that factor rather that discussing the pros with the mamba. And you're going through your whole bag in your videos on the same couple of holes, recommending all the discs...I wish you would take these videos down instead of confusing all the beginners starting out trying to learn disc golf. Please let more knowledgeable people do these kind of videos and just enjoy your own game. Respectfully. No trolling intended.

    • @ivankatzproductions
      @ivankatzproductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Mamba is 11 / 6 / -5 / 1 It is perhaps a bit too much disc for beginners, but it can be a great tool for anyone who has the strength to throw it. With a speed of 11, there are certainly faster discs out there. If you throw the Mamba with enough power it should turn over (flip) and turn a bit and then slightly fade back creating the perfect S flight pattern. Perhaps you should watch my current videos like my round at Pohick bay before you troll without intending too. I've had random players from all over approach me on the course and tell me how I've helped their game. Remember, you don't have to watch any videos that you don't want to watch. It is a free country. I don't want you to take your comment down, because you are entitled to your opinion. That's what makes this country, and freedom of speech so great. At any rate thanks for watching and commenting.

    9.5 times out of 10 it's operator error rather than the disc..hate to say it, it's not turning like its supposed to because you're not throwing it fast enough to get the full flight. Especially on a -200 foot hole. Shouldn't even be thrown

      Unless the hole has some weird techincal qualities...

    • @CurtisMishleau
      @CurtisMishleau 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's a 200'ish hole with a weird line I don't feel comfortable with throwing a putter on...a nice light throw with a mid range...maybe.
