- I’m sadly not being paid by X-League to put this together. Just thought I’d finally do a ‘rules explained’ video for them. Maybe I should get paid by them. Who knows?
- I have no problem with feminists in general. They speak out on a very important subject. But when these 'feminists' speak out and imply sexism where there is none, I stop taking them seriously and just laugh in their face. Because it'd be just like me playing the race card for any reason I see fit.
- People assume that this sport is 'sexist', but the female athletes that participate in them don't have a problem with it, or with the attire that they wear. And the spectators (which is not just men) don't have a problem with it. Nobody is putting a gun to their head to play in that gear, and furthermore, they don't even get paid all that much. They do it because they love to do it. So what's the issue?
- Point of fact, because of the backlash from people who don't watch the sport (like feminists) - the league ordered them to wear pants one season. The players absolutely hated them and they reverted back to the current attire one season later. This goes to show that you shouldn't bend over backwards for haters who don't give a damn about you. Life lesson.
- Once again, not a pervert!

I remember pulling an all-nighter once at a friend's place and, for some reason, at three in the morning, Bandsports was broadcasting an LFL game with proper Brazilian commentary. One of the guys in said commentary team was really flustered about it, he'd lose his focus whenever the camera took a glance at some girl's butt.

@@NinhLyUK Deffo. Shame the actual playing part was a bit rubbish, you could tell some of the ladies weren't all that trained even if they all looked pretty great. I think it was the one season where every team was in Canada, but I'm not sure, gonna see if my friends remember.

One correction. A sack is when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage so it does result in loss of yards.

Feminist will hate it, but for real these ladies are athletes and the game is entertaining. It isn't much different than the NFL. I watch it with my wife and will be like, "Damn, did you see that catch? That was insane!" And she'll say, "Did you see those asses? Damn they are nice!" This is the NFL we are watching mind you. She really likes the players butts. Doesn't bother me at all, we get to watch football together.

I don't think they paid anything. They even have to pay for their own insurance. They play because it's something they love to do, like the local bowling league. Yet some rich perv is making money off it all. It's a classic case of people getting taken advantage of.

@@insertcolorherehawk3761 I've watched a little WFA, but I think the LFL was a superior product. Probably because the game is faster, and played on a smaller field. The athletes are superior and faster, probably because they want sexy looking women. That, and they're not weighed down by wearing so much equipment. Sex appeal plays a big part of it, of course, but even just from an athletic standpoint the XLeague is more interesting.

Ah yes, it pretty much unique football. Like Arena Football meets roller derby with a touch of 2001 xfl. Difference between the two lfl knows how to balance out a good entertaining presentation and format with good simple hard-hitting gameplay action. Thought about covering a7fl?

One point of clarification. In order for it to be considered a sack, the quarterback has to be tackled behind the line of scrimmage (the line where play begins for the down). If the QB runs with the ball, and is tackled after crossing the line of scrimmage it counts as a regular tackle. Beyond that minor error, great video.

They're safer apparently - they can't be used as weapons when you wear them.
@randomvids1231000 I’ve seen women play in regular football helmets and they are not safe at all. So much face mask grabbing and they tend to be ill fitted causing them to fly off far more frequently than you’d imagine.

I think it is a good sport to watch. The games are competitive & the athletes themselves take it seriously. Although there will be people who will treat it as a gimmick, not as a serious sport, as entertainment like WWE wrestling.
I agree. There's always people that'll think that it's sexist gimmick, but once they actually watch it and see the amount of work that goes into it, it's a good sport to watch.

Honestly they have the right idea in taking a lot of that ridiculous armor off the players. You've seen rugby? Perhaps Aussie rules? Do those players have to wear all that armor just because there's contact?
I mean the hits wouldnt be nearly as hard in this. You need a helmet with the brutal hits the nfl has. Player safety is NEVER a bad thing.
Aussie rules and rugby tackles are much more regulated. Nfl hits can be brutal. In the earlier days of american football before helmets, people regularly died playing

You have to become interested in the players and their passions. The LFL started out as a spoof: their uniforms were lingerie, and the team names were out of soap operas and romance novels; but the sport was full-contact football (American football, of course), which is the most manly, epic sport ever devised. Ha ha ha! What an oxymoron! That succeeded in getting everyone's attention. But who would want to play in such a blatant joke? Discovering the answer to that question is where the enterprise becomes truly intriguing. The players come from a great variety of backgrounds, and even from foreign countries. The thrill of the sport is what brings these women together. I was astonished at how much they want to play, and how hard they play to win. I never would have guessed that the LFL players possessed this passion for the sport after casually watching a few clips of games every now and then. It's not obvious at first. Vince Lombardi would be impressed by their drive and their professional spirit. He would not have written them off as a spoof if he could have coached them.

Oh it totally is. There's not too much stoppages for adverts etc. They almost play it continuously compared to the NFL.
I like to keep my sports and my titillations separate. Is it an arena or a really large go-go booth? Pick one and go with it.

I wish there was a women's football league with this much attention where they could wear proper equipment. Falling on turf and getting tackled wearing hardly anything but underwear and some sorry excuses for shoulder pads has to hurt like hell.
They argue that the hockey helmets are safer and that the shoulder pads do the same job.
I'm sure if there was an equipment issue, they would have rectified that ages ago, you know, to prevent being sued.
Ben B there’s already a women’s league like that but it doesn’t get attention because nobody wants to watch it. I do wish they get rid of the shorts and stick with the leggings they had from two years ago though. Crop the jerseys and have them wear leggings that go down to their knees, they looked better than the booty shorts and cleavage.
