    I think the 2 moves are brilliant! Now that Ben is on the North, Tanner has a lot of the same concepts (or Ben has some of his)...and that gives too much of an advantage to the Vikings and Packers as well since they'd see 2 similar offenses if Tanner was our OC. Now, the concepts are similar enough for familiarity, but a different twist, fresh ideas, and the uncertainty for our opponents of not knowing what our offense might do. 2 great moves!

    Great video guys. Rumored that Morton isn’t interested in getting a head coaching job. So I think it’s a fair assumption that Campbell doesn’t want a guy that wants to be a head coach in 2 years. But a pass game coordinator could definitely be a head coach and not hard to replace. Or Dan could be hiding him.

    We all are thankful for what been accomplished while he was here but just maybe he was just scratching the surface of what this offense truly can be. And now with some experienced people behind the play calling we might just be a better football team just maybe

    I want us to operate like a team from the early 2000s. Pound the rock. The current defenses are fast and small. They aren't designed to deal with a run heavy offense.

    • @mattverville9227
      @mattverville9227 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I been saying that for a few years. It's a passing league and defenses have all changed accordingly. I think a run heavy 60-40 would do really well. Still have to be balanced somewhat but if we ran the ball more against the commanders, we win

    • @IQR11
      @IQR11 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Agree that the game plan vs Was should have been to run the ball and control clock, keeping JD off the field and the D would be more fresh. On drive where Goff had strip sack, if they just pound the rock for a TD it would have been more demoralizing to their D.
      Just feels like in big games BJ outsmarted himself playing the "they expect A so I'm going to go with more of B" mindset.
      Just run the ball damn it. Play your strength against their weakness until you feel them quit, then do it even more.

    So maybe we've been looking at this whole thing backwards. Maybe? BJ was just getting us by with all this talent we got on offense and now we bring in some people who know what the hell to do with all these players. We're going to really set some new records😂😂 I'm just hoping it turns out that way

  • @roderickburrell2060
    @roderickburrell2060 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    David Shaw is over-qualifed to be passing game coordinaror which is good, and I think they got veteran guys, because you don't need to be doing all these trick plays where your team is as talented as the Lions. Just out talent the other team. I think in that Washington playoff game, they out smarted themselves. The Eagles didn't do that. They just played football.

    The offense took 4 steps back, naming Goff the OC would have inspired more confidence. David Shaw...failed college coach, hardly a genius. Morton, never been an elite OC, ooooo he made Brees a top 5 QB when he was already top 3 QB. We had better options in house, not anymore, but we did. Hope im wrong, but only the Sheppard hire impressed me.

    You all are crazy. This is. 5-12 or 6-11 team next year unless they do what Philly does and mold this team as a running team. The pass gets all the glory but you run the ball you keep your crappy defense off the field as much as possible. Goff is not good enough to take this team anywhere as passing team. The Washington loss should have showed them this but here we go again. All the new hires are underwhelming at best so maybe in a few years of losing, which they will the next regime will actually understand what it takes to win and build the next rebuild doing what they preach. Hence Dan Campbell saying we will be hard nosed and pound the ball, bite kneecaps etc when they are nothing like that kind of team. Just another sorry Lions team as always.

      Ya 15-2...I'll take a sorry team like that any day. Only 1 team wins the SB. I guess bills and ravens and soon to be eagles or kc are "sorry" teams as well. We have spots to be filled for sure but calling the lions a sorry team is just dumb.
