here t will be thickness or throat thickness plz tell me clearly and in lecture 11 part2 u r taking 300KN as factored load ie not multiplyed in solution with1.5
Here t is throat thickness. In example also I have multiplied thickness with 0.7. In lecture 11 part 2, In question it was given as factored load. I did not write the question that is why this confusion came. For future problems if you find in question that working load is given then multiply with 1.5 and if factored load is given then take as it is.
