I’m from Wisconsin. We had a 930 Case CK, diesel, don’t have it anymore, was brand new because I got to drive it home from the dealership. Was kept in a cold shed over winter. We also had a block heater for that reason. Was mostly used on the semi mounted plow, 5/20 inch bottoms. It did have factory cab on it also. That was one awesome tractor to drive for field work.
Just stumbled upon this. Spent countless hours on a 930 just like that (Well, not as nice.) in my youth. They're great tractors, and you did a fantastic job on this one.
Done a really nice job it looks beautiful my neighbor had one back in the seventies and that was his biggest tractor had duals on it I remember you pulled a 12-ft disc and a 12-ft drag behind it missed the days of them small farms nice job
absoluelty wonderful tractor, this tractor is special to me because my dad had this one back in his farming days, dad and the tractor have been gone for 25 years now but the memories will always remain, i'll always remember this big beautiful tractor parked out in the barn (:->)
Gotta say that’s an awesome awesome tractor I was raised on a 1969 830 comfort King with Case O matic she was a sharp one like yours just a little under 70 hp I think one thing I wanted to make mention yours is color correct I believe the 930s and the 1030s had the yellow steering column like the gas tank and hood desert tan I think they called it but the 830 is on down as I remember them even though people do not restore them like that had an orange cast steering column like the engine and transmission
Man! That looks awesome and sounds great! You did a heck of a job Jim! Hope you had a good New Year! Nice to see you again! lol And am looking forward to the videos of the other projects! See Ya in the next one my friend!
Thanks John. This project took a lot longer than I had planned. Not much going on here we were put on lockdown on Boxing Day. Thanks for watching and have a good one.
Had same tractor with the cast iron standard front axle really sturdy solid machine, surprisingly good torque from that big straight 4 cylinder low rev motor, good workers but yes plugging them in was so much better for starting, recall grunting up hill with heavy clay almost gumbo and those old buggers had some good weight and low end long legged power that u often made the hill with out shifting down ,anyway good job with rebuild and a strong old work horse if u sell to new guy, thanks
4 cylinder? That was the 730 & 830. The 930 & 1030 were 6 cylinder. We had both a 730 & 930. I loved that 930. There were tractors with much more power, but none with more heart. That thing would lug like I've never seen before or since.
There was a case and David Brown dealership in Woodstock on Springbank Ave in the late 50s 60s and early seventies where Woodstock print and litho is now the fellow that owns and runs that business was the grandson of the case and David Brown dealership Ludington was the last name it was called Ludington garage. Maybe contact him if you would like to know more about the case history in this area. Very nice job on the restoration I remember those tractors clearly have yourself a great New Year..
Good day to both of you . Over my way, many yrs was a dealer in Kitchener, the most popular was Gingrich in Baden, he was a there a long time, yes not many Case in our area either. Yes beautiful job on tractor. Happy new year to u guys & Thanks.
Good day William. 1 st I met JD dealer at a neighbour from Tavistock, ask him about your wife . He said see went to a blue dealer? 2nd the case emblem, there was a on-line sale down in Jarvis & ?? there was emblem I think 22 ins. high it went $9900. Anyways hope everything is going well thanks for now.
@@williamchambers7235 we had a few of these. 3 930s and 1 1030. My grandpa loved to drive these.. the more they bellarded the more he loved them. He'd boil the water right out of them. 1030 we used to break up the manure pit. Run her all night. Well in the morning my uncle could see a glow, the exhaust was red hot and there was a flame coming out of the pipe. He had my cousin ease it down in like 10 minutes. Never had a problem....
Did you have to do anything with the main gear shift linkage? My dad had to rebuild the shift linkage in his after he got it home from the dealer. But I remember him saying who ever had it before him just worked it and didn’t do much else to it. Nice to see one of the old girls cleaned up.
Looks great! Ours was a 1968 version with cab. As I recall the steering column and throttle were sunset red or whatever they call the color used on the engine. Was the paint scheme different on the open station models? Just curious about this one odd detail. The one in the video has the curved clutch pedal. Ours had a long straight arm that required help from a friend to depress. It was so heavy we eventually wore out the support for the seat to the point that it would move back about an inch every time you pushed the clutch. Take your leg off on tasks like running a snowblower lol.
Hey Ken I’m not sure about the paint scheme cause this is the first one I’ve ever seen or worked on. I think there was a difference between the row crop and the wheat land model. Thanks for watching.
@@williamchambers7235 Not many Wheatland/standard models around our area. I seem to recall the wheatland models had no pto and a chain final drive. There were lots of 1030s and 930s sold in our area. We also had a 1965 830 standard model, which was a great machine. Once we got into the 70 series Case tractors, machines got much bigger very quickly and the 930 wasn't used much. Being so painfully slow on the road also didn't help. Happy to see yours in such great running shape.
Thanks for watching. I forget where I bought these decals. They came out of the states I remember that much lol. Most of my decals I get made at Hahn farms in Stratford. I’ll see if I can find the number.

Love the sound and look of that tractor. My grandfather used them for many years, the first vehicle I ever drove. Very sentimental to me.

I wish I had that tractor for parades today. Along with an oliver, mm, Allis and international! Old iron was the best
I had a 930 back in the day, best damn tractor ever. Wish I owned this one.

Wow, that one turned out awesome!
It sure did. Thanks for watching
Excellent restoration! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

A 930 is still very much of a beast of a Tractor. My Grandpa runs his on a New Holland Stacker Wagon.
Howdy. They sure are a beast! There is a few design flaws but all in all a great tractor. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Congratulations! You did an amazing job!
Thank you and thanks for watching 😁
Beautiful tractor really good job thanks for sharing this video God bless stay safe 🚜

Hey there Will, long time no hear. Great restoration. The Case sure looks good and sounds smooth. That waas a lot of work. Have a happy New Year. 👍🏽🙂

What brand of paint did you use? Looking to paint my 930 CK.
Now take it out and plow us a field. Let's see how much guts it has.

I had them custom made. My father in-law has trouble getting up on tractors. Thanks for watching.
Never mind, I hear at 6:35 you say they're custom made. Nice job! Do you find that they hit the ground when you're doing field work?
No but they bottom out when loading on the trailer.

Not factory steps and not a improvement
