ATTENTION:
I have not flown since the pandemic, but a friend of mine has the carry-on plus and said it fit in the overhead on American Airlines no problem. I typically fly Delta, but I imagine if it works for American it will work on other major airlines. I've also heard some international airlines will tag the Plus to show flight attendants that it fits. Hopefully this helps, Monos has a great chat/support team so if you reach out to them about the airline you use the most they should be able to confirm as well. 😊
The sizer usually requires 22x 14x 9 this is an inch bigger so I wonder if some airlines will give you a hard time about the inch. I wished there was a video that showed the bag fitting in multiple sizers…
I am struggling with taking the chance. My away bag -bigger carryon was not the same after repeatedly checked. Even though it’s smaller than the carryon plus

@@MyFragranceTrail okay I recommend a computer because I know it rarely works on the phone. Also I think you need another bag since it's two weeks. I reviewed the duffel (it's the last video on my channel) so that might give you an idea. The backpack could be nice if you need something you can have with you at all times

I have a gray Monos Carry-on Pro Plus. I think it’s funny that you said they give you the eraser for “free”. I paid $300 for this carry-on. Trust me, we also paid for the eraser!
Nice video and showcase of how you can pack this Mono suite case! One thing that perplexed me is that the TSA lock is for the clothing compartment, but really no lock on the laptop side. I wish that in future versions they will figure out a way to lock that too.
By the way, how did your travels go with it? Did the laptop take too much space either from the inside or too much added thickness on the outside? Happy travels! Candace!
Hello, thanks for watching! I also hope that Monos will add a front pocket lock. I recently reviewed a Level 8 case which does feature a front lock for the laptop compartment. I absolutely love the Monos carry on. It did scuff up quite a bit going through baggage claim but that's to be expected and can be removed. The laptop does not take up any space. The lining between the front pocket and the interior is firm so packing things doesn't compromise the space in either compartment. Hopefully this helps but let me know if you have more questions :)

Hello! So I know the dimensions are technically like an inch more than what most domestic airlines say their carry on size requirements are...with that said, does it still fit overhead or did you have to gate check it? Deciding between the carry on or carry on plus. Thank you!

Hey Bettina! I use Delta and it always fits well. You might be able to find other airlines it works on in the reviews on the website (check out the carry on plus page too since it's been around longer - it's the same size bag as this just minus the pocket).

Thank you! It does not, there's a firm barrier between the two that makes it extremely difficult to bulge into the outer pocket. Your computer should be good to go 😊

Where did you get that mesh packing cube that fit so perfectly into the luggage? Also, have you ever had to check this bag?
I got the packing cubes from Target! The link is in the description. And I have not flown since getting this but I know someone who's flown it on Delta (my usual airline) and they did not have to check it
I’m in the market for new luggage and came across your video. I subscribed!!! Do you happen to have the medium or large mono suitcases? I want to purchase the carry on plus , medium, and large, but I’m afraid the large is too big for the airlines. The measurements are 62 linear inches but I think that’s the inner dimensions not the outside including wheels and the handle
Thank you so much! I do not have those sizes (although I plan to get them!), but the specs on the site are exterior measurements that include handles and wheels. They list both the interior and exterior measurements. I would also suggest using the chat function on the Monos site because the support team is super helpful at answering airline and other size-related questions!
Well if your forget your code lock just go number by number from 001-999 and it will eventually open. I think that’s not that safe if it got stolen. But if you forgot you combination there you go.

Do those travel wipes/masks work? I bought them at target (saving them for my next flight whenever that is) but I have extremely sensitive skin. I've used masks that destroyed my skin. Is this one harsh or chemically? Let me know what its like. I just bought the Monos medium but I'm thinking when I need to buy another carry on it might be this one, thanks!
They do! I find the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes pretty gentle but I don't have really sensitive skin. The face mask is one that I use a lot cause I have dry skin and helps me with moisture. It's a Korean mask I get at CVS in the travel section.

Does the front pocket have two zippers? Considering this vs Away's version. Only considering Away because of the battery pack, but if I can put my own battery pack in the front and have the front zipped up just to expose the USB wire then I'm good.
Hey Tanner, yes it does! There's 3 zippered pockets in the front and one is pretty long and definitely could fit a battery pack (you can kind of see it around 5:04 and on the website).

Have you been able to fly this yet? Did the color pick up a lot of scratches and scuff marks? Easy to clean?
I haven't flown this yet but I have done some scratch tests with it and it takes A LOT to scuff it up, I don't anticipate much scuffing the way I typically travel. But the magic eraser that's included does WONDERS at removing them quickly.

Yes definitely. No gray to it at all.
Wish to know the exact height from ground to top of the handle (fully extended) on the Carry On Pro model. Monos can't be bothered to put that bit of info in their specs on their own friggin' website, wtf. Please let us know?? Thanks

Yes it absolutely does! It fits into the overhead easily and you could probably even fit it under your seat depending on how much you fill it. You will LOVE it!

So when you add laptop etc to the outside pocket does it totally rob space from the inside?
nope, the outer pocket is completely separate from the internal space so it doesn't affect what's inside at all.
It looked like you put a decent amount in the front pocket! Did it zip shut OK and did the pocket bulge out too much? I'm thinking it's a great spot to put your liquids bag for security when you're flying but wondering if that would be too bulky.
Great question! So it would not close with ALL of those inside. It would close with the items I packed on each side. So the internet pouch where I put two books it closed by itself. Or the outer pouch where I put the glasses and my planner it closed by itself. But not with both. It also didn't bulge much. I'd say you could put toiletries if they're skinny (the way mine looked before the makeup) . And you could fill both sides and close it if you had slim items like magazines or thin books.

Thank you so much! 😊😊 This might help, do you fly often? And if so do you try to avoid checking a bag? This size usually may check on small planes, which is the biggest difference. Honestly they are only an inch different in size so the Pro may be enough. I really wanted a front pocket and at the time I bought mine only the pro plus was available, otherwise the pro would've been enough for me.
I ended up ordering the Carry-On Pro Plus & a Check-in Large this morning. When I recieve it, I might send it back for a Carry-On Pro.

No sweaters! Unless it was like a super thin wool sweater. The amount of things you see me put in each side of the front pocket as about the limit for each side respectively. Otherwise it will bulge out
Nervous. I ordered mine beginning of October still waiting for mine, arrives tomorrow. I ordered the normal small carry on and now wish I got the plus bc I tend to overpack but didn’t know it existed after I ordered 😭

I do! I haven't done a video yet but they have a strong zipper that compacts clothing really well to save space

Yes
Can it hold you if you sit on it?
I'm about 140 and don't feel comfortable sitting on it empty and barely when it's full (especially if there's something fragile inside)

I have not flown in the past year but friends and other customers I know have said it fits for American and Delta (which is what I typically fly)

The back of the front pouch does have structure and is solid if I'm understanding you correctly. It's not the same hard shell as the outside

@poojitha yes, I really liked the style. Although they're similar, I liked the Front pocket look of this and the brand's overall values. I also heard that Away had some questionable quality issues. I've been so happy with the quality of this case. I might try a tote bag from away though
Still looks like an Away bag. It's a nice other option, though.
They are very similar. I do think this is a more attractive option for those looking at a front pocket. And it's a great brand all around
What's the compression part for? And is it removable?
I helps to compact your belongings to save space. So this is a good spot to put clothes cause they're soft and can be squished. You can take the pad out. The straps are not removable but can easily be tucked away.

@@tacticalg6686 Great question! I think it comes down to security and look. I love the color options of Monos and the sturdier/richer feel of the interior. Based on that alone I would prefer Monos. But for someone who values security over style and tends to store valuables in the front pocket, Level8 is by far the better option.

This is similar to AWAY LUGGAGE
Very similar in look and function. The monos handle has more heights and is built from sturdier construction. It also has more pockets. It currently does not offer a charing option like away does on some models.
Candace Howze yes but I also don’t like that they don’t personalize their luggage. I usually like to have my name or initials on my luggage
