This video was 2 years ago and I was wondering how has the transmissions been holding up and if you have the newer version how have they been holding up. I'm looking for how these transmissions hold up after a few years and a few hundred thousand miles on them. Thanks for sharing this!👍
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Remy Elliot I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
After 35 years of shifting my own gears, I was forced into an auto about 4 months ago. I absolutely hate it, I’m considering leaving my number one seniority slot at my 20 year employer because of it.
@@Bluedreamflying I'm sorry to hear that. It's unfair to force you to change, not after driving that long. The new guys sure. May I ask what you don't like about it? Could it be bias towards habbit? I drive a manual car, and always have, so I understand if there is a bias a well. I also realise it's not the same as driving truck. Thanks for your answer.
That's going to mess with a person's muscle memory switching between a car and that. No wonder some truck drivers say they can't drive a car with so much experience in a semi.
Nobody should need a Class A CDL to drive an automatic truck. Just a quick class with backing a trailer will do. Super easy to drive an automatic. Literally almost anyone can do it. Then we can actually get a ton more drivers on the road.
This is not the Eaton ultrashift this is the new endurant 12 speed Auto manual, Eaton ultrashift was in a 10,13 and 18 speed configurations and was in the center console the new Cummins endurant 12 speed and the paccar 12 speed are now on the console of the steering wheel
I currently drive for CFI, the guy said this truck unit number is 50446 so it is a 2018, and they come with a 10 speed. So I’m sure he’s got the ultrashift in the truck he’s driving. Any truck that is 2020 and newer, and as for CFI with truck numbers higher than 51700 come with the endurant 12 speed.
Absolutely garbage I unfortunately bought a automatic ultrashift but let's just say never again only thing I like about it its the jacke break and no I don't enjoy shifting but they chock and not to mention at 190k the transmission broke down so eaton replced it and now 519k 1 month before warranty goes out I got stuck in Arkansas 360 Mike's from home air Leake inside rail C Spn 4146 fault code I hope the warranty can replace it with a 13 speed o and yes I replaced the clutch and just the parts cost $2800 and $1500 labor not at a dealer the first transmission replacement with 190k I was told it cost $40k I had warranty but I still lost 4 weeks because they must do a lot of tests to make eaton pay for it.
Max Brunclik I bet you drive an automatic automobile at home. I’ve driven manual for 17 years new and old trucks both and now I drive 2020 Volvo automatic. I’ve never been more comfortable and more rested in a truck period. Only had you knew you would speak first.
thank you driver very informative have a great day and stay safe out there

For long time truckers I wonder how much these auto/ and auto-manuals have changed driving for you. Do you like the new systems?

Thanks. Can you still start in 3rd when you have a light load?
You cannot choose the starting gear; however, you can manually shift once rolling.
Yes. I do it all the time in my 2013 ProStar
If you have automatic restriction, can you drive it?
Glad to see CFI is going to Automatics! :)

@@lonewhitewolf8232 I still drive one of these 2018 ones and its an Eaton Advantage.
CFI was the first mega carrier to have automatics.
Actually US Express was
Did he say up yours?
Do you recommend a kenworth T680 paccar automatic 10 speeds ?
Why y’all don’t talk abou upgrade test at CFI

You left something out! When you hold that Jake brake all the way down it will shift into neutral
do youself a favor. buy a manuel transmission. keep yourself in control of the truck. having no clutch control SUCKS.
Hello
The video has no audio
Can't her the sound
These transmissions suck.
Allison all the way
Drivers don’t drive automatics only steering wheel holders drive automatics I’m 23 and I’ve never drove an automatic that’s why didn’t drive for them
I'm a automatic, cry me a river.
Sounds like you don't know much. Lots of older drivers eho went from standard manuel to automatics love em
Yeah driving a stick doesn't make you any better a driver than one driving an automatic, get out of here with that arrogance...
Good drivers can drive anything.
AMURICUNTS AMURICUNTS AMURICUNTS ARROGANCE.
Junk
Boooo that’s not trucking
I would hate that thing. What a hoke
You don't need to play with a stick for it to be trucking
