It has a child lock system, then we can never open the door from inside. Opens only from outside.
Ppl die in fire accident bcs of electronic lock not working and cant open doors. Its safer to have that manual option also.

The lock is the old one yes but it's the most reliable and durable, you do have a modern lock button so you don't need to use it like the maruti.

@@AbhishekPatelab9 Hey fool back in the days Elite i20 was one of the best hatchback always in top 1 in sales an talking about quality it has 4 stars better then modern cars sold in Hyundai line up an even engine was top notch even now Hyundai engines are great, WTF you talking about gadhey bakwas ka gyan mat pel yaha.
It’s not about orvm opening and closing it’s about automation… when you go away from the car while keys are inside your pocket car will lock and unlock itself accordingly deciding orvm’s will stay open or close prior to that.

But i owned that Pushtaini Maruti.... It was a legend in those days... & the FIRST one to introduce...
1) Two separate front seats
2) Floor Gear ( anyone remember the gears shifts of Ambi & Fiat)
3) Hatchback type model
4) Mirrors on the Doors.
It would be difficult to digest to most youngsters, that all the above features were missing in those days.
Tbh this feature might seem a bit old but it's very useful in case of an accident just imagine that you get into an accident and you car stops functioning how are you gonna exit if you have automatic locks
however it will be better to adapt a better design for these types of door locks
