    I bought a B-stock RF7-ii years ago. I still don't know why it is B-stock.

    I just purchased a pair of "B-Stock" RF-7 III's, and I'm hoping for the best. I have had extraordinary good luck buying "Open-Box" electronics from Best Buy and other stores through the years, so my fingers are crossed, and I'm hoping again for the best.
    Thanks for making and posting such an informative video!

      They came from us right? :)

      @@TopShelfAudioprobably not because you want tremendous money almost full price for B-Stock when other seller sell it for 2499 or 2599 per pair with free shipping of course.

    Thanks for the video, Cory. Fortunately I bought my CWIVs from you nearly a year ago and you gave me a great deal on A stock!

    I bought a b-stock RP504Cii a week or so ago for $170 below what Klipsch had them on sale (regularly $699 MSRP). It has a ding on the bottom back near the binding post that nobody would aver possibly notice. Works perfectly and replaced an R34C. Huge improvement and is a much better timbre match to my RP600Miis :)

      @@TopShelfAudio I'd have to look at my receipt (if I can find it). I've bought some of my Klipsch speakers from Klipsch, Amazon, and you. My height speakers (RP-500SAs) are a mix of walnut and black, bought at different times but the black ones are behind me so it doesn't matter. The rest of my 7.2.4 system is a combination of Klipsch (12" sub) and Polk (10" sub and surround satellites). Subs are stacked on top of each other due to space issues, but it seems like I get better "boom" out of them now. I saw a video a while back saying you were planning on doing a B&B kind of thing in your showroom. Are you still doing that and and if so, how much do you charge per night?

    get used to looking directly into the camera... it helps if you mount a preview screen right around the primary lense.

      Thanks for watching and for the constructive criticism. Cory is not a fan of being on camera but he's for sure the most knowledgeable on these topics.

    Video idea: Please make a video that was talked about last season with the Parasound P6 A23+ vs the Parasound JC line.

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! It's on the to-do list but, I'm not sure when we will get it into the series. As such, Ill give some insight here:
      First off, the P6 is a great option to pair with both units. Its super clean and versatile and, basically everything you can ask for from a pre.
      As for the amps, essentially we are looking at 2 amazing amps, but in two different tiers. Both are very clean, low noise, low distortion, class A/AB. The 23 will be able to handle *most* speakers, where the JC5 will essentially be able to handle *any* speakers. The JC5 has more than double the output of the 23+ giving that extra umph where it's needed, or that head room for even those super power hungry speakers.
      Bottom line, if you have something like a pair of Cornwalls or similar that are super efficient but, can really whale when you put a bit of juice in - - the A23+ will pair great. If you are looking to drive something like the RF7s that really thrive on lots of power - JC5 is going to be your guy.
      I know its not a full episode and, hopefully we can get to that later but, hopefully this bit tides you over at least for now. :)

    I would have thought bird's eye figuring was appreciated. Probably because in the guitar world it's a nice, rare bonus, so as it turns out I would be delighted to score a pair of B-stock La Scalas or Khorns or Jubilees. Anyway, can't wait for season 3! I have really enjoyed your channel. I anticipate a visit in a couple years, and by then I'm sure you'll all know me well from the comments section if that's not already so. *edit: By the way, the audio on this is about as bad as I've ever heard. It's WELL worth a quick EQ before the final render!

    • @corndogggy
      @corndogggy ปีที่แล้ว

      it's mostly bad because it's just a GoPro in a reflective environment. I have the media mod but it overheats in 10 minutes. I tried other mics but can't get them to work. If I'm going to do this regularly I need to invest in a proper camera and a clip-on mic and a studio with acoustic panels. But hopefully Jason will be taking back over soon.

      Thanks for watching and for the constructive criticism. Every once in a while Cory will post lists of available B-stock opportunities on the Klipsch Owners Facebook page. Keep an eye out there or give him a call at the number in the intro to see what's available right now. As for the audio, most videos are shot in the studio but, sometimes the best person to discuss certain matters is Cory himself and as he mentioned, he uses a GoPro when shooting. They are great for a lot of things but, audio is certainly not one of those things. Next couple of episodes (Heritage in home theater and Layman's guide to Heritage) will be a similar story but after that and possibly after a zoom meeting we throw up here, we will be back in the studio. :)

    I've ordered B stock from Cory. Looked brand new. On another order he mentioned it had a ding but it was backside and couldn't notice. Cory will usually be upfront about what if any actual damage. Other folks don't disclose so B stock from Cory makes sense.
