Land Grab is the first chapter of Spartan Ops Episode 1. In this chapter, Fireteam Crimson is sent to "Quarry" to stop Covenant operations in the area.
Spartan Ops is a mission-based cooperative mode in Halo 4 in which up to four players work as part of a team of SPARTAN-IVs known as Fireteam Crimson performing various objectives. Players' customized loadouts are available during each Spartan Ops chapter and completing a mission gives players XP towards their next rank.
The story takes place in February 2558, 6 months after the events of the Halo 4 Campaign and mainly revolves around SPARTAN-IV Fireteams Majestic and Crimson, who are deployed on the shield world Requiem. There are ten episodes which contain five mission-based chapters each. Each episode is accompanied by a short CGI movie which explains the story.
Halo 4 is the seventh installment of the best-selling Halo franchise. The game was developed by 343 Industries, a Microsoft owned internal development studio established for the purpose of creating new properties for the Halo series. Halo 4 is the first game in the Reclaimer Saga, and is the sequel to Halo 3.
On September 26, 2012, Halo 4 had "gone gold," meaning all development of the game had been completed and mass manufacturing had begun. Halo 4 was released on November 6, 2012 for the Xbox 360 - in all countries except Japan where it was released on November 8, 2012. It is also available from Games on Demand for Xbox Live.
Along with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 3, Halo 4 was released on Xbox One as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on November 11, 2014.
On November 17, 2020, Halo 4 was added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC, available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, Steam and the Microsoft Store.
