Sounds mint! Any noticeable gains power/fuel economy?

TWISTED NRG Hard to tell just how much the exhaust has affected performance, as I did a Plazmaman Intercooler, EGR delete and exhaust system all at the same time.
That combo gained me about 2L/100km, much better throttle response and feels like some good mid-range torque gains. The only issue I have is that it absolutely stinks like an old tractor without the Catalytic converter, so is pretty unpleasant to work out of the back if it’s running. In hindsight I’d have done a cat-back system.

i am looking at putting one of these in my bt-50 next week but tossing up between one with a hotdog and one without
roughly how loud is this as the system in person? as without the hotdog is very loud.. the video probably doesn't do it justice

I’d say the sound is close to how it is in person. Decent note but not obnoxiously loud. This is my work vehicle, so a straight-through wasn’t an option.
I think the straight-through systems sound very airy at idle.
One thing to mention is that the hi-flo cats do jack sh!t, and the vehicle ends up smelling like a 1950’s tractor. Seriously stinks, so is not a good idea if working out of it etc.
... and drive-through staff at Maccas etc will hate you.🙁🙁🤪

      @@DizzConnected es normal ese humo?

Is the black smoke coming out considered normal ?

Stabbing the throttle like that will always produce some soot from excess fueling / burning rich.
Under normal driving conditions it is very clean.

I recommend a cat-back system to keep the original cat.
The hi-flow cat on my system does jack all and it smells like an old tractor, very sickly - which is bad when working out of the back of it.

@@DizzConnected Hi sorry to ask again but is the hi-flow only that smells bad? I'm thinking of 3" cat with pipe (loud) or resonator (moderate). Which one do you recommend? cheers

      Hi mate,
      I got it off eBay.
      Search “Playtime Exhaust BT50”
      Mines the 3” turbo-back system
      (Hi-flo cat & hotdog)

I think this is it - it’s been a while, and I think the price has jumped up.

Sorry was your exhaust cat and hot dog
Or no cat & hot dog

      It’s the cat and hotdog.
Well, playtime says there’s cat material in the “hiflo cat” section, but it smells like a non-cat system. Stinks
