If a decoder were included inside a Nixie tube, its number of pins could be reduced to two reducing the chance for air ingress. Sending the tube momentary control tones over its power pins could control the decoder selecting the displayed digit and even blanking, flashing, and PWM brightness. It could even make tubes addressable, needing just two lines to power and control any number of tubes. Just a thought.
Would be quite complicated because of the high bakeout temperatures that would fry the electronics. But it is possible , i recently found a vfd with controller inside and that assembly is fritted together at around 450 C.
Wonderful work! I'm so impressed by each update, I very much respect that you love your company, your staff, and your projects. I always look forward to seeing what you're working on :)
Glad to hear from you again! A shame the F-tube is on hold, but totally understandable why given how much R&D it's going to take. Best of luck with the new clock model!
wow nice I was worried I would like the new design but it very neat ! I will buy this one I think do you have a very rough ETA ? or you cannot tell ? :c
It's unfortunate that the know-how that existed for several decades when vacuum tubes were produced in high-volume from several manufacturers has been lost, and needs to be re-created. Most nixie tubes are 50-60 years old now and still work, which is proof that the glass-to-metal seal can be done reliably.
Could you do the leak testing using a refrigerant gas and a refrigerant leak detector? You’d want to choose a gas with low global warming potential. Note some are flammable (e.g. propane) so precautions would be needed. But you wouldn’t need a big machine.
Well products looks good but for 3000 Euro (including taxes) that is about 2-3x of months salary of normal person(In Slovakia or Poland). So pretty expensive stuff. I understand that you can't compete(not sure if compete even means anything) with China or anybody else with those prices but still even if i wanted to buy it it just cost too much. Sad truth but i suppose it is just sad reality of Life and this is just Luxury Clock ppl don't need but rich ppl want :)
Great content, as always! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
It’s not “the way how it works.” It’s just “the way it works.” It’s not “a way how to”. It’s just “a way to.” It’s not “how it looks like.” It’s just “how it looks” or “what it looks like.”
Good to hear from you again!

Thanks for the updates Dalibor!!!
Great, thanks for the update. Pleased you are still pushing on and developing.
I still have some of your original 2016 tubes running well!
That old Heathway vertical lathe is awesome. Goals.
i wish so badly i could work for you ...i love what you do and it would be so much fun ...sadly im all the way in the usa
Аналогично. С детства обожаю лампы и всё, что с ними связано.
Nice to hear from you again!

Beautiful
Thank you!
So glad you are alive and well! Thank you for the update ❤
Nice to see you are back!
Please email your present customers when the new clock is available first. I’d like to buy one
I am excited for the F tube! Surely, you'll figure out on how to successfully and efficiently produce the stems...Goodluck Dalibor!
Thanks for the update. Good to hear from you. Greetings!
Supercool, Dalibor! The F tube can wait, though I hope I'll see it one day.
Really enjoy your videos.

do you have a very rough ETA ? or you cannot tell ? :c
Remember...Take it easy...and I say, BeHappy 😀
the hard wall reflection echos made the audio difficult to impossible to understand at times. Otherwise it was quite interesting. Thanks.
Agreed, hanging some cloth up on the walls would help at low cost.
I've made a lot of nixie clocks. Always wanted to buy some, but prices are out of my range. I hope to see that new low cost tube!

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Thanks for the Video !
I guess one shouldn't really show keys on YT.. it is enough to make a replica ;)
Can you change the gas inside the tubes to create a different color?

Why the blur effect?
I would imagine that it's switchable to satisfy both those who like it and those who do not.
@@projectartichoke I meant at 12:56, with the glass lathe
Trade secret?
can you add Temperature/Date/Time/prox sensor to the new clock....
Thanks
i find the clock very difficult to read because the tubes are so far apart
You ever looked in the region of Weisswasser in germany for some retired specialist and knowledge?
Would absolutely support you (if I had a credit card)
Super cool
