    Hey Sarra, you may not be writing 5 books a year but you host multiple courses per year, manage two TH-cam channels, take care of your family, AND are writing a novel. That’s more than 5 big things. Also, I think Vanessa is going to be your best book yet. Your inner critic is saying it’s not ready because you know deep down you can raise the bar. Keep going, you’re doing better than you’ve ever done ❤

    I have been watching you for years, and am not currently writing but still do and what I LOVE about you and come back for is your authenticity!! It’s so nice and refreshing for someone to speak about the hard things. It gives us all inspiration and hope. Don’t worry about the haters- you have an army of people who love how you do things!! 💜💜

    you're doing amazing and we're all so proud of you for hitting 70k! whether you're writing, publishing, or posting on youtube, we're just happy to see you and know you're living your best life. i remember one of the first videos of yours that i watched was when you were about to release your (last ?) book in 2020ish and you had to push back the release date. you were so upset because of previous trauma with pushing back release dates, but you took your time to write the book and publish something you were happy with and the people who believed in you stayed with you, myself included. you helped me so much in 2020 writing and publishing my first full length novel and i still use the things you taught in those videos. i'm so glad i stuck around to watch you win again and again -- moving into a nice house where you can have chickens and a garden, your family healthy and thriving, working through vanessa shaw, and now hitting 70k. next up 100k and a new successful series!

    There's lots of opinions about when to remove a brace. My doctor told me to remove my brace when I was just sitting watching tv or before bed when activity was low... as I could monitor it. But wear it at night so my hand wasn't flopping around in my sleep. Which I did, until I was taking it off in my sleep more days than not. 😵‍💫. 💖🌞🌵😷

    Definitely prioritise your own well-being over sticking to your schedule! You are living proof that it's OK (and sometimes necessary) to step back and reassess all your tasks. It's great you realised the signs of early burnout and realised you had set unrealistic expectations. All your true supporters will stick with you no matter what ❤

    I had a situation with a kitchen faucet and putting new trim in the kitchen, I'm a pretty "DIY" gal, but I didn't have the strength or flexibility to get under the sink to change it out, or to move the stove/fridge to get behind them to do the trim. Hubby, has also had health issues and couldn't. I had had the faucet and trim since before Christmas! We finally found a handyman who worked cheap, and he had it all done within 2 days, including LOTS of problems with the sink that I didn't know there were issues with, AND would have taken me weeks without water, if I had tried it myself. All this to say, that maybe it's worth it to pay someone to just fix the shelves for you. A little money blesses them, and having it done without taking more time and energy blesses you. It might even be a teenager who's handy (from church?) or someone recc'd by a neighbor. It's okay to ask for help. You put it on the Kanban board to get it done, you didn't say you had to do it yourself. Is it done if someone else does it? Yes? Then, cool! You get to move that.

      How did you find a handyman? I don't even know where to find someone trustworthy!

    • @ImmortalMomentsArt
      @ImmortalMomentsArt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HeartBreathings I would suggest to first start by asking people at your church, they might either know someone or even BE someone who could. And something like an older teen with some experience might work, too, depending. But I would start with asking around at church to see who they know/use/trust. Secondarily, ask your neighbors, they might have people they know and trust. And of course, put your need/intention out to the universe, and that usually comes back quickly, too!

    Congrats on 70k, Sarra! What a great livestream - Reposting my comment here (since it was missed in the live): I can totally envision SDS being turned into a PC game ala the Nancy Drew PC game series. Imagine playing as Harper and arriving at Shadowford Home for Girls, being able to go inside, find clues? >> So when this happens in the future, you all heard it here first :)

    I'm only watching this 3 weeks after the live because I was in Denver (my youngest daughter had her first baby, a girl). If @PinkHawk191 ever sees this, I would love to know their cousin's name (and his mother's), so I can add him to my list. I'm glad Evie is doing better!

    The question that Venice LaVaune asked is basically the same thing I'm having issues with as well I'm wondering is there any way you could explain in more depth the answer. I sometimes find myself having more ideas and scenes that would go in the series later on but not the first book of the series. So how do you rein in to focus on the first book of the series? How much world building should I set up without losing the reader in the process?
    On top of all this I feel like a hamster on a wheel going back around and around without a solution with my beginning. I feel that something is off but can't find the solution so I'm stuck on the brainstorming phase. I'm thinking that I might have to start at another point in the story and backtrack from that place to find the beginning.
    I know it sounds very confusing I'm sorry for this. At least I was smart enough to journal the brainstorming process. A lot of other stuff connected with the series itself.

    When you called them "Teen Murder Books" my brain immediately jumped to 'Wait. Is she using her books to kill off the teenagers she hated as a teen, or does she enjoy killing off teens?' O . o I'm laughing nervously.
