Some people consider it a fun hobby to modify their gear. And when the mods are cheap individually, it makes adding to your rig something fun to do over time. Plus I don’t know of any other turntable that has a little flip switch on it. Mixers can get super pricey.
Would it he possible to mount the button on the side of the unit in some way so that twelve inch records can still be played ? Or is there any way the button can be mounted flush with the top of the unit ?

Just out of curiosity: Why is it necessary to replace the small circuit board? Wouldn't it be enough to solder the button between the power source and the motor?
Man I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm having a pisser of a time hooking up a 5 pin 12v led switch to my pt01 scratch. I've followed all the diagrams, and no matter which way I wire it up the led stays lit weather the switch is turned on or off. I'm assuming that the red/white wire from the factory tonearm switch is the positive wire because using that one will engage the motor and using the other all white one does nothing. I've run power and negative from the voltage regulator. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've done 2 - 2 pin pto1 mods without issue but this is my first 5 pin and it's doing my head in!
After installing exactly how you did it is working perfectly ok with the power from the socket but unfortunately when I am on battery it will spin just for a couple of seconds and after that it stops. How can I fix this issue? Or I need to pay another one from Jesse Dean?

I think you use your pt01 for mixing 12" not for scratching. Am I right? Here is a teaser... my next product will be the Easy Connect Start / Stop button Plate that replacing the Scratch Switch Plate. good for those who don't use the Scratch Switch, or using external faders or mixers. No need to drill a hole for the button. And with this StartStop Plate you can use the 12" records too!
