Nice to see someone talking about real numbers. NC 20,000 gallons 18x40 gunite with 8x8 spill over spa and gas heater. $138k. No decking, no landscaping. Another $26k for automatic pool cover. Hope my kid gets a swimming scholarship because I just blew her college fund.
I’m replacing my old hybrid pool this year. 20x40 concrete pool is going in, with an auto cover, Baja shelf, auto fill, new heater, pump etc. 1500 sq/ft of new decking with exposed aggregate. Cost is 350K in the upper Midwest.
New AGP owner (and subscriber, thanks Steve!), just filled last weekend! Intex 9'x18'x52" Ultra XTR with SWG, solar cover and roller, cleaning kit, $1400 last Oct. With equipment rentals to level the ground / regrade, resulting grass seed, landscape fabric, base sand, 2x6 PT base edge, chemicals, total around $3500. New patio furniture for the wife with patio heater $1500. Pretty on the mark at $5000 for a decent above ground pool estimate!
I grew up with a pool always wanted my own even when i live in a subdivision. My personal pool was really important to me and family. I just had my fiberglass with turbotwist slide all concerte and decorative brick done pluse landscaping a little over 100k. Washington state. I operate everything from phone. Crom the pool cover to the led lights. Expensive but well worth it!!
Southern California 15x33 shotcrete, 7x7 spill over spa, baja deck, gas heater, saltwater, phone app to control Hayward equipment. Water estimated at 17,000 gallons. Added 400 sq feet pavers. Total $ 150k. Looking back, if I had been more efficient, deduct $ 10k, so $ 140k.
Southern cali. 16.5k freeform gunnite and pebbletech pool with a hottub. The equipment is 40k gallon swg, 400,000 btu heater and vsp pump (everything Hayward). It has a baja shelf and bubblers as the water feature and the hottub can be put into spillover mode. The price is 98k for just the pool and equipment. It doesnt include any decking.
Minnesota, building my own salt vinyl liner 24x50 vs pump heater 7030 filter 2" plumbing autocover = 65k... 20ft pad on one side, 5ft on the rest = 20k installed
In cali just got quoted. 10,000Gallon pool 7x7 spa 3 sheer decents baga ledge all the equipment with heater and 750sq ft of concrete paver decking with upgraded travertine coping. 125,000
Oklahoma - Just had a 14x24 Vinyl Swimming Pool Installed. Concrete Bottom, Vinyl over steps, 12,000 gallon Oval. Chlorine and no heater. I had an additional 250 square feet of concrete. $61k
Hello I run a marketing agency Im looking for pool installation companies interested in taking on more clients do you know anyone who would be interested
Gunite, shotcrete, cast, ICF, tile pools...these are all just concrete pools. How the concrete is placed and finished defines the terminology but to the end users these should all be considered "concrete pools"
We install gunite and fiberglass and as the years go by its harder to justify offering gunite pools. Fiberglass is simply a better option for 90% of the people serious about a pool. Lower cost up front, lower cost to maintain, less for repairs and the gelcoats last for decades. If you live in a million dollar home and want a $250k backyard, a custom gunite pool is the answer. But if your going to spend $70k gunite pool with marcite plaster, cheap coping and standard 6x6 tile you're making a poor decision.
I agree, that’s basically what I inherited with my house. It was 20x40 sport pool installed in 1998 for 35,000. It cost me 25,000 two years ago to replace tile and redo plaster. No way I would do gunite if I were building a new pool, unless it was high end luxury house.
@@danlah1303 I feel your pain... In the winter we earn a living off replastering 10-15 year old gunite pools. The people calling for new gel coats on fiberglass pools had their pool installed 25, 30 and even 40 years ago. I still love gunite pools, but when I decide to put one in my backyard fiberglass is going in.

I have to say that I like the shorter beard versus that really bushy beard a year ago
That was a covid beard. It has never been seen before or since that time
@@Swimmingpoolsteve yeah I grew a pretty big one during Covid also. My husband was very happy when I trimmed it down to a nice, trimmed beard.
