Excellent video, was eyeing one of these stihils as my FS94 is struggling round the farm these days! Very informative and clear! Out of curiosity, who makes that safety helmet. didn't quite catch it when you said in the video?
Thanks for the compliments and very glad that you like it. The safety helmet is from 3M / Peltor. In this video I explain why I have chosen this helmet (above Stihl) and how it works: th-cam.com/video/fJ9aUX3ARdk/w-d-xo.html
With the original orange wire in very high grass the wire broke quite easy. That's why I use thicker wire for that purpose (2.7mm), which is much stronger: Stihl CF3 Pro 2.7 mm (see video at 10:23).
Hi Mr, what the fuel consumption of this machine ? is the torque of the motor high to your opinion ? (in other words, in the goal to cut 30cm high vegetation, what the level of power do you use, 30% of the throttle 40% maybe ?
The fuel consumption seems ok to me. In the field with very high vegetation (almost 1 meter) that I refer to in my video, which I estimate about 30 x 60 m (so about 1800 m2) I used the machine in full throttle. I think I needed to refill the fuel thank about 3 or 4 times. It was very high and quite some area so that seemed fine to me. What is your experience on this? The torque is very good. The limiting factor is the strength of the line. I use the machine in full throttle mostly, so I'm not sure about the torque at lower throttle. But I like your question so I will run some tests in lower vegetation and see what level works best and let you know in a new response.
@@OutdoorsintheLowCountries I cut brush with a FS561 running a tri mulcher blade and can easily get 45 min to an hour on a tank with on and off the throttle use.
Thank you for introducing this video! 40 people came to watch it through this video!!
Thank you and very glad that these people were motivated by this.
Very good video & editing. Great explanations.

Nice machine; nice video. What country are you in?
Thanks. I'm living in the Low Countries in Europe, these are the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Hi, good video , thanks for your effort. Can you write down the things that stilh fs 461 trimmer box includes ?
All the things shown in the video are originally of the FS461. The only item I bought as extra is the thicker Trim Line.
Do You have eny problems with 46-2 Autocut? What diametar of flex You use?

You pay for the whole throttle, you use the whole throttle. I just yank that shit. Company fuel.
