How to Copy and Paste Text on Android

- Learn how to easily copy and paste text from anywhere on your Android device with this quick video tutorial.
Whether you’re browsing your favourite website, reading an email or message, or any other form of text on your Android, you can select a word to copy simply by holding your finger on it. You’ll see the word you’ve selected become highlighted. If there are more words you want to select along with it, you can drag the ends of the selection tool until you’ve selected all the text you want to copy, or tap Select All in the menu that appears to select all the text on the page.
Once you’ve selected all the text you want, tap Copy in the pop-up menu. Now, go to wherever you want to paste the text. You can paste text nearly anywhere, including into text messages, emails, notes, and more. Once you’ve opened the page where you want to paste the text, hold your finger in the empty space in a text box, then tap Paste in the menu that appears.
That’s all it takes to copy and paste on Android. Use this method to copy any sort of text, URLs, contact information, and more.

When you select "select all" the pop up menu disapears so you can't select "copy"?????? How do I select all and then copy it?

It doesn't it doesn't make sense I'm trying to copy and forward a individual text message and send it directly to a TH-cam channel that I like can you tell me how to do that I know how to copy and paste and send to another I want to send this message directly to a TH-cam channel not another person on my text. You should be able to copy just the text from the message, then paste it into a comment on the TH-cam channel you want to share it with.

Not explaining how to paste to other site. Let's say crypto exchange. Every body says. Just go this place or head that place but how to get your copy from manager to binance takes an other thousand clicks. It seems. I do not get it.

You can copy text from pretty much anywhere, it does not need to be a text message, just any text.
@@techlifeunity I can copy text from anywhere to a text message conversation but when I want to copy a text message to place it in another text message conversation it doesn't work. Lets say I want to copy the text message my husband sent me and paste it in a text message to send it to my son, so I don't have to type what his father wanted me to tell him. It doesn't work. My family said it is my phone. I don't think is the phone. I have a Oukitel WP6.

I wanted to Copy-Paste from a WhatsApp message into the same WhatsApp account. The purpose being that I would be able to then correct a spelling mistake before sending the message on to another account. I call this account my reflexive account. The method you proposed didn't work.

I've tried this numerous times but no word I touch, press on or click on becomes highlighted and no option box appears. The word I press on just moves around as I move my finger and if I use two fingers the text becomes bigger but that is all. What am I doing wrong? I have a Nokia 5 phone running Android.
Some apps do not support copy/paste so that might be the issue

I have the same issue. I had a V7 Android Smartphone and now I use a V11 Android phone. Looking at a channels 'Home' page I used to be able to select text and using finger & thumb enlarge images or area of the screen.
Since V11 I've lost that and its across nearly all the apps.
@@TeddyBear-ii4yc I'm now so sick of rubbishy hackable Western stuff, where google constantly spies on you and sends annoying ads etc, my next phone will be one of those great Huaweis with the Harmony OS. If the Chinese want to spy on me, that's fine as long as they don't bother me.
