What’s enchanting about this movie is the way the wind blows the bushes in the background shots. This is usually horrendous for filming because of audio reasons but this movie had it all over the place. It makes the movie magical in my opinion.
The Holiday is one of my favorite movies of all time!!! It’s just so heartwarming. And I love the storyline with Arthur. There aren’t enough movies that feature the elderly in wonderful roles!
Nancy is an amazing story teller. I absolutely love all of her movies . Holliday being my favorite and them sometimes gotta give. She should never retire, she makes too many people happy. That’s a gift…💯🌹🍾🥂
No, this great classic movie doesn't need a sequel. Leave the way it is. To make the sequel as good as the first is very difficult and not many movies can achieve it.
I watched again this beautiful movie today and have watched it on every Christmas for the last 4 years. I never get bored of watching it and will always be on my Christmas movie list.
This movie is absolutely brilliant! One of my top five favorites and a must during the Christmas Holiday. The stars align and it lifts your soul in the most beautiful way. Every second of this movie is a treasure!
I really enjoy watching Nancy Meyers movies! They are heartwarming, funny, moving, and feel-good rom-coms that put me in a better mood. I love how movies always have lovely interior set designs, colorful cinematography, and good music. She’s one of the only few successful female directors in Hollywood. Yet at the same time, she’s honestly underrated.
Nancy please make a sequel, you have no idea the love, Grace , inspiration this movie has given to us. Look at it like a puzzle for you to create. You have such a gift, you can direct it to this task 😅
Nancy is the last of the great romantic comedy writers and directors in Hollywood. I think James Brooks has hung up his hat, we lost Nora Efron many years ago, Norm Jewison is long gone, and the list goes on but they've either retired, died or they're just no longer making these movies. Nancy's the last one we can count on for a really thoughtful, intelligent and witty romantic comedy. I pray to God she makes a few more before she retires because when she does it's over. Anybody past the age of 45 or 50 knows what I'm talking about. It's a cliche but they seriously are not making them like they used to anymore! Some try but they just don't even come close!
The aesthetic really is important. For those of us that don’t have warmth and comfort during the holidays with friends and family, watching this helps us feel what that might be like to still have despite it... And for those that do have that warmth and comfort with their family and friends, the movie makes us nostalgic for that feeling again this year. Win win ☺️
I have The Holiday paused so I could watch this, & so glad I did. The Holiday is one of the movies I turn to this time of year to help me get into the Christmas mood. So Glad that Nancy is working & love that she let you into her world via livestreaming. Glad she has more to say. I agree w/her that it was a perfect moment & no need for a sequel. Would be so hard to capture lightning in a bottle that way again it’s lovely as is. So neat a tidbit about the Dustin Hoffman moment. Thanks for posting this. So pleasant I’ll prob pin 📌 it. Also nice choice of what the interviewer wore to share with the on camera team after her epic interview with the One & Only Nancy Meyers.
Does anyone know the title of the movie she wrote during the pandemic? It’s mentioned at the end of this clip and I’m wondering if it’s available on Netflix.
Here's how the sequels should go down...we should get sequels to the other vacations!! The Holiday 2: Cotswolds Awakens The Holiday 3: The Way of Bora Bora If they want to continue post trilogy... The Holiday 4: Across the Londonverse The Holiday 5: Far From Home Exchange The Holiday and the Home Exchange of Madness The Holiday 7: Let There Be Gumption The Holiday 8: The Last Jasper The Holiday 9: Surrey Forever! The Holiday X And if they want to do a prequel... The Holiday: 1984 In all seriousness, this movie came out when I was 14, and I watch it every Christmas Eve! An absolute treasure of a film. Still waiting for a "Deception" movie tho! Come on, Nancy XD
I don't think I want a sequel (I feel like too much time has passed) but a zoom reunion or something would be cool...or for them to release some of the deleted scenes! (I know there was at least one in the original trailer, and Miffy who played Sophie said that some of hers got cut)
Great movie, my husband loves it. You know at the very beginning, the movie trailer she's watching has a big star, Alex O'Lauglin who stars in Hawaii 50. He played for a couple seconds a boy in a Rom Com. That makes me smile. A sequel could be fun, but Jack Black has changed a lot.
Lol imagine the sound guy mad at the director of the movie for laughing too much, as if the director wasn't the one who actually hired him🤣🤣🤣 And the director telling the actor to try to act badly instead of acting well🤣🤣🤣 lol lol
The one guy is speechless Lol. Probably has never seen even ONE chick flick but as every gal will tell you we sit through endless boring boy movies. And that’s why Hollywood makes so many.
We need more directors like Nancy Meyers, I love all her movies. So sick n tired of all the violence in movies this past few years!
What’s enchanting about this movie is the way the wind blows the bushes in the background shots. This is usually horrendous for filming because of audio reasons but this movie had it all over the place. It makes the movie magical in my opinion.
100% yes!
The Holiday is one of my favorite movies of all time!!! It’s just so heartwarming. And I love the storyline with Arthur. There aren’t enough movies that feature the elderly in wonderful roles!
Love Nancy Meyers movies! The Holiday is definitely on my list of holiday movies to watch this season! Great segment!
Nancy is an amazing story teller. I absolutely love all of her movies . Holliday being my favorite and them sometimes gotta give. She should never retire, she makes too many people happy. That’s a gift…💯🌹🍾🥂
This is my favorite romantic Comedy/ holiday movie
I love this movie! One of my favorite Christmas must do. What a cast. Terrific tears and laughter❤
No, this great classic movie doesn't need a sequel. Leave the way it is. To make the sequel as good as the first is very difficult and not many movies can achieve it.
It's Complicated was so much fun!
After Nora, Nancy is a sigh of relief.such good vibes.Cannot thank her enough.
I watched again this beautiful movie today and have watched it on every Christmas for the last 4 years. I never get bored of watching it and will always be on my Christmas movie list.
I say no sequel.....this Movie is perfect the way it is....❄️❄️❄️

I love the storyline with Eli Wallach’s character, and Jack Black is hilarious and adorable too. ‼️👏🏻👏🏻
All of Nancy Movies are my favorites! I can just watched them over and over! She is a genuine unique gem!
Would love if she woukd make another rom com like somethings gotta give or The Holiday!!! She is just incredible!
Outstanding work in so many of my favourite films. Thank you from the workings of my heart and mind.
Nancy, your movies have heart real human emotion.
This movie grew on me and now I look forward to watching it annually. 💝
To make you happy they still together.. genius.!!
Leave it the way it is, I absolutely love The Holiday ❤ I love all the actors ❤. X
I am so much looking forward to another joyful film of Mrs Meyers 🙏🏻
Nancy is awesome . She can’t retire . So glad she is making a movie for Netflix !
I adore The Holiday! Leave perfection alone, no sequel needed!
The holiday is amazing! Hans zimmer also killed the movie score!
Nancy please make a sequel, you have no idea the love, Grace , inspiration this movie has given to us. Look at it like a puzzle for you to create. You have such a gift, you can direct it to this task 😅
She is the master of romantic comedies.
My FAVORITE holiday movie !! LOVE IT !!!
Watched again Something's Gotta Give oh oh oh how I love that movie. She's got the touch.
4:01 this was such a wholesome moment. ❤
This is one movie that I can watch over and over again. I just love it.

A favourite to play at Christmas, and Hans Zimmer music - heaven!
Have watched this movie many times. The casting was perfect!!!
My all time favourite Christmas movie, actually one of my favourite movies period.
I can watch this movie back to back. My favorite holiday movie after its a Wonderful Life.

Well said!
Wait, so Nancy really is the Diane Keaton character in Something's Gotta Give.. like, down to every detail!
Omg YES. I was so confused watching this😂
Exactly. They are like twins.
My favorite film.
❤
A sequel to "The holiday" with the same cast (don't care how old they got) is a movie a would actually be excited about 🎅
It will never happen. Cameron Diaz has stopped being an actress.
@@nataliedelagrandiere4022 nope, she's acting again. She was in Fallon show and said she was to film a movie for Netflix
It would be ruined, no thanks.
We ..The World needs lots and lots of Nancy Meyer films. STAT!
i can't wait for her next movie!
I watch it every year, sometimes twice. Love it!
Love this movie soooo much!!!!
love, love, love her work!
I have watched it 4 times in the last month.
Nancy your movies are the best! i am huge fan of yours. keep up the great work.

Nancy Meyers is an absolute genius!!!!!
Love her movies!
One of my favorite holiday movies🥰
I love her movies so much!
My favourite film ever and Cameron Diaz is my girl crush ❤️ xx
She looks like Diane Keaton!
SO MUCH!!!! I was looking for this comment...
Also similiar in mannerism
Only in Something’s Gotta Give
One of my favorite Christmas movies and I love the music "Nancy" , I've even used it as background music for picture videos.
This is really very selfish but after Nora Ephron passed away, I’m going to need Nancy Meyers to release a new movie every year. Thanks! 😂❤
Thankyou Nancy Meyers for making Jack Black a leading man! I love him!
Love loved this movie! Great actors!
I love Kate and Jack in this movie
Omg she looks so much alike Diane Keaton
I love her movies
To make you happy…the interviewer’s laugh 😆
Does anyone know the title of the movie she wrote during the pandemic? It’s mentioned at the end of this clip and I’m wondering if it’s available on Netflix.
Did Nancy Myers ever show her house? Did I, somehow missed it?
Oooh who was her Jasper? I would love a sequel or newquel!
Here's how the sequels should go down...we should get sequels to the other vacations!!
The Holiday 2: Cotswolds Awakens
The Holiday 3: The Way of Bora Bora
If they want to continue post trilogy...
The Holiday 4: Across the Londonverse
The Holiday 5: Far From Home Exchange
The Holiday and the Home Exchange of Madness
The Holiday 7: Let There Be Gumption
The Holiday 8: The Last Jasper
The Holiday 9: Surrey Forever!
The Holiday X

The Holiday: 1984

No, no zoom special.
I recognize this woman’s voice from somwhere, but I can’t put a finger on it to save my life
Like she sounds like a mixture of Betty White and a little bit of Wendy Malick
I can’t believe a women this talented is retiring. Please don’t, Nancy. Us older dolls need hero movies too.

The Holiday is one of my favourite movies. It's 30 minutes too long and horribly edited, but I watch with the same adoration every year. 💖
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️❤️❤️
I’m ready for #2 I loved the first one 😎
I love The Holiday but watching it again I can't help noticing--SO much drinking in it. Other than that, it's perfect.
Don't do a sequel. It usual doesn't measure up to the original
The English cottage was and is sooooo desirable.
I Lou Hoildy movie I can watch it over an over
Lol imagine the sound guy mad at the director of the movie for laughing too much, as if the director wasn't the one who actually hired him🤣🤣🤣
And the director telling the actor to try to act badly instead of acting well🤣🤣🤣 lol lol
What came first the Nancy Meyers or the Diane Keaton 😂…
10 years
Dude erica Barry is Nancy Meyers!!! lol
How about father of the bride 3 with Diane Keaton.
Is that MARKLES double interviewing Nancy?
The one guy is speechless Lol. Probably has never seen even ONE chick flick but as every gal will tell you we sit through endless boring boy movies. And that’s why Hollywood makes so many.
I wish they had cut out the LA story, which is boring.
She looks like Diane Keaton! The only thing is I find cameron cringey in a few scenes.
Jack Black is cringey to me.
Love her movies but there are no color people on them… kinda racist
It’s not racist to feature one race in a film.
@@Gemmarose9012 in the states it kinda is
Love Myers. The Holiday? Meh
Please just make another love, feel good movie. Please save us...
She looks like Diane Keaton!
