Convoscope is built by TeamOpenSmartGlassses, a team building open-source smart glasses tech to upgrade human thinking. Our community includes a team of open-source engineers alongside leading smart glasses hardware companies.
Convoscope is still work in progress, and many of the tools you saw in this video are still in development. Stay tuned for more developments in the coming months as we build the killer app for smart glasses! - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Many of these applications are still a work in progress, so stay tuned for updates coming soon!
Where can i buy vuzix ultralite ?
How do you get this app ?? is there a apk??
Incredible. You are truly not just another wizard
We are cyborg wizardz.
I submitted my beta tester application! I found this hilarious. I'm eager for someone to reach out about this. ❤
Wow, your videos keep getting better… amazing work Cayden…. Been a while since I’ve seen one… congrats on MIT
Thanks a ton!
Great work guys 🏆 will hopefully have a project soon to try this out ✌️😎
Please do!
Good stuff! still should have went for the AI Mark Cuban voice smh. Teledildonics is such a ripe industry for disruption. Glad someone is approaching the space with the vigor that I expect.
btw, drop the "the"
Teledildonics is a $23 trillion dollar industry that will only grow into the 2030s and beyond.
Hey Cayden, so the Ultralite's are not available to the Public because they are "reference" glasses, but does the INMO Go pair that (I think?) you have in the video work with everything in English? Do you know if it will show notifications from O365 for example, or Caller ID with name if someone ring you?
This is not compatible with INMO GO. We are working with Inmo to get access to an SDK for the GO, but for now, we can't add support until there's an SDK.
Inmo Go should be able to show any notification that pops up on your Android phone, as far as I know.
Your production quality gets better every video
Thanks Chris!
Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Dan!
Cayden, I'm caught between waiting for the RayNeo X2, the Vuzix Ultralite, or another similar glasses launched. Between the RayNeo X2 and Ultralite's - which do you think is the more useable one (including battery life)? I just want something that can do what your App shows as well as showing messages that have come in (like email content) but in a part of the screen that doesn't block my forward vision if driving. Would appreciate your insight. Lately I have been leaning toward the RayNeo X2. What do you think?
Vuzix Ultralight - it's unknown the commercial path, but it's far better as an all day wearable pair. RayNeo X2 is only better if you need camera, sensors, and/or stereoscopic screen.
Thanks! RayNeo X2 - will we ever get a look at SLAM in action or other Menus on these Glasses while you have them, or are you prohibited from reviewing them as they are loaned? I would prefer the RayNeo X2's if they have better battery life (and they are colour also!).@@caydengineer
@@techreviewsauwhere can i buy Vuzix Ultralite ?
thanks this is cool
are you planning to release a tech video about how to to build it and print the smart glasses? is it easy or hard steps
All of these glasses are built by companies, you can't build them yourself. Convoscope is an app for smart glasses, and it's open source: github.com/TeamOpenSmartGlasses/Convoscope
Hey Cayden can you tell what the vuxiz ultralite does better compared to tcl rayneo?
Better: lighter, longer battery life, easier to develop, much more aesthetic, more comfortable
Worse: monocular, monochrome, can't run apps locally
This to learn programming i need!
Cool idea... though it might not make sense for smart glasses, since you'll be learning to code with a keyboard and monitor anyway.
No but i meant follow university python course and not be lost@@caydengineer i watch a lot of courses but there are some concepts i have issues to apréhend. Wich make my learning to prog journey long and fastidious.
this is awsome the google part killed me🤣
Thanks!
great application of smart glasses would be great for debating were do you buy a pair of vuzix ultralights by the way
They are not available, these are the Vuzix's OEM Refernce Platform for evaluation only.
Hey Cayden does tcl rayneo work like a portable pc?
No, more like an Android phone.
Will this app work with things like the Nreal air 2?
I understand it’s basically just a display for your eyes, but can I run this on my phone and connect my nreals to my phone and get a simmilar use case? This would be a literal life changer for me as I have adhd
Yes, it should work out of the box with the Nreal Air 2. Either spin up your own backend or joing the TeamOpenSmartGlasses discord server and DM me, we can give you some free access to our backend as a tester.
@@caydengineer sent a dm!
Lex Smartman 😂 I love it
Haha thanks!
How did you guys get a hold of Ultralites?!?
TeamOpenSmartGlasses is partnered with Vuzix.
Could these glasses help with dyslexia? I’m severely dyslexic and doing a design course this would be something that I would be very interested in
Hmm, good question. How do you imagine they might work? Smart glasses could read the text out loud to you as you look at the page, would that help?
@@caydengineer yes massively would help. If you can point at a sign and get it to read that would be amazing as well as having a dinner date without asking the person that you’re with to read out the menu
I wanna know where to buy
Convoscope software is open source and free. It runs on any pair of smart glasses - many of which you can buy online today.
The Vuzix Ultralite OEM Reference Platform hardware is not available now but it looks like Vuzix and their partners will go to market in 2024 with similiar hardware.
How do you get this app ??
It's open source here: github.com/TeamOpenSmartGlasses/Convoscope
You''ll have to spin up your own backend to run it, or apply to be a beta tester in our discord.
You said it's open source, but please where can i get the stl files
The code is open source. The glasses hardware are consumer products that we don't make, and not open source.
@@caydengineer okay thanks for the reply
how can I buy smart glasses?
On the interwebz
I LIKE DAT
TANKS
Want. Once it works with IOS I am in
Great! It will be a bit before we have iOS support (unless someone comes along to help add it). But you can get a $100 Android that can run all of this!
3 phones and 3 phoneplans and two different charger types sound rough. Maybe someone will come help add it >_> @@caydengineer If I ever get to ditch the work phone maybe I will grab a android and lose the iphone.
Anyone out there sell a package with this set up on smartglasses, with an android? Out of curiosity. Or is this still very DIY?@@caydengineer
Why is this on microvision?
Because MVIS makes optics tech for smart glasses like these.
These smart glasses are gonna make people super dumb because memory retrieval requires effort when you take that away with smart glasses people will not be able to even remember the most basic things because they won't want to put any effort in remembering it in the first place and just rely on the glaasses.
That's a valid concern. People have said the same thing about Google/search engines. There is evidence showing that we are moving more and more to "transactive memory" in modern times. It has the downside of reliance on these tools, but the upside that we can reference an order of magnitude more information. It's always a tradeoff. With great power comes great responsibility. We may have to start specifically exercising various cognitive capabilities so we can use these great new tools without too greatly harming our ability to perform some cognitive tasks.
Who cares dude there’s more to life than knowing thingd
@@tristancole8158 You're keeping it real. Real stupid.
@@frankiecal3186 Okay then, you read your books forever; I will enjoy eating berries in paradise like God and nature intended, after using my knowledge to get there not to belittle others.
do you guys have Vuzix Ultralights to play with???
Yes, checkout the video, we are wearing them throughout.
@@caydengineer yes I saw them. Will they be available for the general public anytime soon?
How did you get them? Is it for testing?@@caydengineer
Supposed to be available sometime in the 4th quarter. They may be available by Vuzix and/or as a white label product under another vendor. According to the last CC by the company.
You have GOT to tell me how you got all those vuzix glasses. I’ve been pining after the shield for like, years now.
We have a direct partnership with Vuzix. I think the Shields are available to devs and industry if you will develop apps for them.
