uPhone: Share Your AI
uPhone wearable AI doesn’t change the game; it just invites everyone to play.
When I put on translation smart glasses and flew to China, I realised that cyborg upgrades were mostly useless if everyone else remained un-augmented.
So, I built something new - a wearable not for me, but for you.
The uPhone is a necklace wearable computer with a screen, visible to everyone I'm talking to, which aims to break down augmentation disparity.
Translation, AI assistance, navigation, link sharing - imagine all these, not just at my fingertips, but ours. Conversations get richer, understanding deeper.
This isn’t just tech. It’s augmented communication, wearable and shareable (ShareableWearable).

Good day. I'm interested in the real-time speech translation function. Could you recommend something that truly works and fully performs this function? Maybe we need to wait a bit longer for new versions of the glasses? Thank you.
A few glasses have this. They're not all amazing, but some are good. Inmo comes with it. Vuzix can support it with the right apps. XRAI just announced translation for Xreal glasses which I haven't tried yet but imagine is good.
Hi, my boss is looking for AR/telepresence glasses. Just so an engineer can give tips on how to fix a malfunction remotely. Do you know of a nice, current day product? Hololens seems outdated by this point right? Thanks!
Vuzix enterprise solutions is probably the best for this ("M" series), because it comes with TeamViewer and other supported remote mentoring software.
what smart glass model can video stream live
Vuzix Shield, Vuzix Blade 2, Inmo Air 2, Meta RayBan Stories
Hello Sir, I was wondering now that we have all seen GPT-4o which glasses best work smoothly specifically with GPT-4o? Thank you for providing valuable information.
Vuzix Z100 running Convoscope by TeamOpenSmartGlasses is the all-day wearable best smart glasses AI experience I know of.
I need glasses to remind the name of a person
It's a cool use case! Though people don't take kindly often to you running facial recognition on your POV camera stream 24/7... I used to do that haha.
I'll tell you what I'm looking for. I want to watch an exercise video in my glasses instead of having to move my head to look at a screen. It should have either internal memory or allow a microSD card. No wires! What is the thing that is closest to this set-up?
Get a Vuzix Shield or Imo Air 2 and watch TH-cam on them.
@@caydengineer At $2500, the Vuzix Shield is too expensive for me. The Inmo Air 2 is better priced, but it has 30% 1-star reviews on Amazon.
Are there any glasses with a camera or that connect to a camera which will display the feed to your vision and can zoom in? I want a pair of glasses for detailed work like soldering or painting fine details on models. Being able to wear glasses and zoom 10x 20x etc and feed that to my vision would be a game changer for me. Great content! Thank you!
I just use this simple solution: www.amazon.com/LXIANGN-Illuminated-Jeweler-Magnifier-Detachable/dp/B08QCX8PZR You could try to make an app like this for INMO or Vuzix Blade/Shield, but the experience will probably be grainy (smart glasses camera zoom is often awful).
Is there a technology available to aid people with low vision?
Some audio glasses with apps that describe the world to you exist, like Seleste, Benvision, others.
Bro the couch staircase got me weak lmfao 😂
Haha best part.
I saw a set of gaming glasses that had speakers that go around the neck. On Amazon of course. Would be cool if it could speak out a reply in my voice either from me speaking a low emition reply or from selecting from a list of standard replies.
You mean for translation use cases? Or when you're too lazy to respond? Or some other time?
is there any smart glasses that could change RGB over 100% for real world? i want a more colorful world
Love it! This will be hard to do, but probably would want to do it in video passthrough so you can actually change what you see. However all the manufacturers block camera access, which makes it hard.
Incredible. You are truly not just another wizard
We are cyborg wizardz.
Can you tell us the exact parts you used
It's all on the github

$$$$ WHAT IS BUILD COST???
Where would I go where I live (Greensboro NC) to get a pair of smart glasses? How would I go about getting them with my prescription? I wear bifocals
You buy them online.
Im only wanting to be able to read texts in my glasses.
What do you want to read?
constraints would be so much easier to handle if the form factor was just a hat with the guts int the brim and either a fold down visor, or magneticly attached cable to the glasses.
Very true, just people don't want to wear hats all the time. However, maybe if it was a great experience, people wouldn't mind wearing a hat throughout the day!
I am thinking of a smart glasses that has chaptgpt integrated to it in such a way the AI can help you analyse the person that you are interacting with, and while doing so also help provide prompts on what words can be said the the percentage ratios for each choices of words used when socialising with the person. Sort of like a smar glasses that provide prompts and analyses the person that you are socialising with and can help you better communicate with the person with a selectable choices of words.
Wearable speech coach is fun, I have a demo video of that dropping soon! As for telling you what to say, I think it's dystopian and a bit future. Topic areas suggestions may be cool to help people identify common interests, but reading off things to other people is a sad interaction.
@caydengineer I know what you mean but it is helpful to people who do not go out alot to interact with others. Aka those who stay at home most of time not exposed much to the outside world.
more distractions to cause accidents🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, good thing the cars will drive themselves. But when walking, we will need to be concerned. It will be a danger for walking out into traffic. In the past, I would have laughed at that, but I almost did it once, and realised it's a real concern. We'll need cameras in the glasses that detect when we're in danger and warn us/turn off the display, and methods to avoid distraction in the first place (perhaps putting the display up to the top right, not directly in front of the eye).
Can you design glasses that can have access to the manifest of the passengers on the plane knowing their names, history on the travels, with face recognition ability .. maybe a bit too much ? Haha
You could, but why?
I run an airlines .. it would be perfect if my crew can identify the customers so they can personalize the service from just seeing them and know in advance what they like
How about if you have +2 reading glasses?
In this case, wear contacts. Many glasses support prescription inserts as well.
Im looking for a pair of glasses for Golfing can you help
What would you like them to do while you golf? You could maybe check out the Activelook Engo 2 with Garmin watch for golfing.
I own the new Ray Ban Metas and like them a lot... Battery life is annoying, but the tech is great. The recognizing feature is ok, came close on my car, nailed what was wrong with a plant's health, doesn't know bugs... Any thoughts on when this might be able to be assistive technology for people like me with Prosopagnosia (face blindness)? The Google Glass was promising for us, but died out... looks like the possibilities are emerging again for a helper, would love your thoughts!
Oh, and my Ray Ban Metas are progressive, transition, prescription lenses, and are great. I didn't go polarized in order to easily read my car's head's up display...
The sound is really noteworthy as well... super clear, responsive, high quality, and rarely audible to anyone but me.
Thanks for the feedback - the RayBan Stories are indeed a good pair of glasses - but they'll need to open up to third party devs to create an ecosystem.
Hey. Great video. Up to date and very complete ! Just subscribed ! I run a small software company and we want to focus on development of business applications able to get information on the fly from servers based on objects in the real world, and performs transactions by voice. Like recognize a product in the shelves and bring information about inventory , for example Requirement for such glasses would include... camera to be able to recognize bar codes, qr codes (perhaps rfId ??), software SDK for development of custom applications able to connect to database servers, and speaker/mic able to receive voice information and give voice orders. Be not so heavy so people can use along the work. Based on that, what you would recommend (1) to start with based on cost/benefit (2) as ideal glass ? Again, congratulations for the video and the channel... this new frontier of wearable devices brings amazing possibilities !
Probably look at some of the Android based smart glasses with display and camera like Inmo Air 2, Vuzix Blade 2, Vuzix Shield, TCL RayNeo X2, etc.
Love The video Cayden!!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Great job!!! My favorite for Immersive Journaling right now are the Snapchat Spectacles and in some instances the Ray-Bans by Meta.🤓💯👊🏾
Thanks! Great recommends!
I want to find ar glasses that: - video is hidden to others - matches my prescription so I can use them to see - can connect to my phone via Bluetooth - can be charged while in use
A lot of these can do those things. Vuzix Z100 or pretty sweet!
@@caydengineer Is it too obstructive at all? Like can i work while emjoying a little video at the corner of my vision i can see nicely? The best would be is if they could act as monitors for computers as well. I don't need a camera either lol. In fact I'd prefer if something like that isn't noticeable. I just wanna enjoy videos and monitors in the background while I work so it looks like I have regular, if not thick and have a cord, glasses lol. (I suppose I can put a piece of tape on them like I'm Poindexter or something lol. Like something fashionable maybe.) If they can be charged, I was thinking more of a battery block in my pocket with a cord snaked through my shirt connecting the two while I also charge my phone seperately,, NOT having it connecting to my phone directly. (Maybe something that has a large battery life. I'm not opposed to bulkier glasses either, as long as they're comfortable and won't slip off my face lol) Ooo maybe even a multi feature where I can have a little note or checklist while I work so I can have a reminder of tasks or things I must remember constantly and can check off with my phone! A multi app feature while I work where I have that and a video would be absolutely perfect!! I mean I'd be happy with just the videos and monitors mind you lol. Also, after answering my question, have you ever considered the idea of a totally Urban Secret computer system utilizing AR glasses? My idea involves it all being wrapped up and hidden Within inside of a sweatshirt, including a face mask that dampens your voice so you can be loud within the presence of others, a battery system lined Within the Torso of the sweatshirt, two separate mini computers connected together on the back of the sweatshirt, and a keyboard hidden within the front pocket of the sweatshirt so it just looks like you have your hands and the little kangaroo pouch in front of the sweatshirt LOL. (These are all things that can be found today btw, I can give you more details on the technology of you're interested) Now you have a secret computer that you can secretely game or talk to your freinds with anywhere. Please steal tf out of this idea and share it with other tech guys in diacord servers, tech events or anywhere else you can if you think its neat. Id love to see it as a thing. ♥ Thank you so much for having the patience to respond to me btw it means a whole lot man. Hope you have an awesome day!
All these glasses are interesting, but I cannot find a pair of glasses that will have my prescription and provide a hearing aid with audio conduction. I saw some in the UK but they are not sold in the USA.
Not sure your options. Essilor Luxxotica announced a pair, should be out this year I think.
I’ve read about those, but no retailers seem to know much about them.

@@caydengineer of course!! My presentation went well. Thank you. 🥰
you should look into partnering with pine64
What do you mean?
@@caydengineer partner with pine64 to mass produce your devices once you have version that are sound as far as hardware goes. A pine64 pair of opens source smart glasses would be really cool and it would get them into the hands of many more people since pine64 is already so well known. A product announcement on their end would do wonders for your support/dev/user base.
In between stages of functional AR... almost pointless. The heavier ones that require another device are what people are going to use right now. And we all know it except the people trying to sell this soon to be completely obsolete garbage.
Don't agree. Simple data snacking <45 gram glasses are coming to consumers in next 1.5 years.

Those fitness glasses look really cool.
great video but too fast. you give too much information too fast, the viewer can not digest the information this fast. re do this and be more definative. As a viewer I want you to out line whats available then crtique each classification as a layman/ how it works practically. But give me some time to breathe and may be take down a note or two. Then I can choose what is right for me. selfish yes, I know, but I'm the buyer.
Appreciate the feedback. Trying to balance video length with a ton of content. Maybe there's room for an extended version in the future for this who want a deep dive.
You can stop the video and replay as many times as you want. It's not TV, you know?
Replay the video if you can’t catch up.He is doing good job by giving the lot of information in a small time.keep it up

pause the video lol, hit rewind.
I need a pair of these I got a cool idea I haven't seen before and Is very much needed.
What do you want to make?
I really liked those gloves its such a cool way to interact with the uphone.
Yes quite fun. Will move to hand interactions or smart ring soon.
this is what I am planning doing .besides that, I will add voip function
Cool
Ok THIS is what I want to become universal. Imagine this with a LAM or llm trained on languages so this can be fully offline. Fully offline subtitles in ANY language. Can I have you make me one? Genuinely. Like this is so cool
Thanks! Not selling these at the moment but who knows what the future holds!
Yoooooooo, awesome stuff Cayden!

Hello, I'm looking for smart glasses that are easy to use for hands free video calling. We are an in home healthcare provider and we used the Hololens for a study but we are looking for an easier and lighter alternative thats less scary for our clients and easier to use for our careworkers. Main focus is being able to show a Dr on a videocall what the careworkers sees. Any suggestions?
Is a display needed, or just a wearable camera? Perhaps just a GoPro if no camera needed? Could it be a necklace? Checkout the Vuzix Blade 2, Inmo Air 2, Vuzix Shield.
Thanks for your suggestion. A display would not be necessary but they might not be able to touch the glasses or camera for adjustment or interaction if they're doing wound care at the same time (this was an advantage of the Hololens 2 as they could interact without touching any surfaces). The advantage of glasses is that they can be sure the Dr sees exactly what they see without readjusting.@@caydengineer
Thank you for sharing this info, I found it very informative. I was looking at the VUZIX100 when I came across your TH-cam channel. I'm looking at different options for smart glasses to aid workers in the retail space. The VUZIX100 comes with an SDK for developers to integrate with your Android/iOS App (This is what I’m working on). Do you have an opinion or a recommendation of the top 2 or 3 options I could focus on?
Love your content! Would also love to connect and chat about an idea I have about making standalone "transcription" glasses available in Persian (Farsi).
Of these glasses, how many are accessible for less common prescriptions? I've seen some companies say they only support myopia and/or astigmatism lenses. How many of them are dealing with presbyopia (essential for anyone over the age of around 40), hypermetropia, or things that require prisms, such as strabismus, or colour inserts? How many can specify that only one eye is valid, and allow you to choose which? How many offer photochromic lenses?
Varies greatly from company to company, with many companies offering no prescriptions at all and some having a wide range of options.
@@caydengineer it might be something to mention in the next round-up. Or to do one based on which ones are most flexible
