We had a lovely stay at Sandy Gulls thanks to your recommendations. While there we visited a few church's. One special one was at Barton Mills in Suffolk. The reason was to find a grave of my Uncle who lost his life in 1938 while serving in RAF. Sadly we didnt find the grave but the memorial plaque is in the church. Now the mystery continues.

@HelenandDave it appears they were not buried there. Have been in touch with church who were very helpful. No one knows why their names are there as they went down in the Humber. Possibly someone at RAF Mildenhall wanted them to be remembered as it happened before the war

@@griswald7156 I actually live in Kent, with my van stored and used a lot near Folkestone, on a quiet little site 'The Chequers' , I will however give 'Hawthornes Farm' a look at, many thanks for the tip
We went there once on recommendation from our neighbors, very pleasant site unfortunately the bar area was shut the whole time we were there, also the noise of the traffic was annoying and we forgot to bring our wine from home and ended up paying fifteen pounds for a bottle of red which was nice but a tad expensive ,I think if maybe money is no object It's great.
Hi Deborah, shame the bar was closed!! Not cheap buying alcohol from that shop. Too late now of course but there is a Co-op 5 minutes away and Tesco about 10 minutes. Annoying though that you had to pay those prices but it’s a special place. Thanks very much for watching. Helen & Dave 😊👍
well we are at concierge camping for the first time and have booked 3 different pitches. the safari tent for our none camper/caravan son has bedding towels and a lovely spot by the stream but parking isnt alongside and although there is crockery there are no cooking facilities other than a massice Aga - no good in this heat. Not even a kettle which is a surprise for almost £1500 a week. Our daughter's pitch, one of the new Emperor lodges has no kettle either and no sofa to watch tv. they are in a tiny mazda bongo so felt the large dining room table overpowered the space and didnt appreciate walking into a glass box from the shower room. we have a gladiator pitch for our caravan ( cheapest of the 3 pitches) and its fine and the one we use for our family gatherings. it has a dishwasher but no dishes, a coffee machibe but no kettle and a tv with no sofa. Love the size of the caravan pitches but there are odd numbers so thete are 2 pitch 13s but different colours. The shower and toilet blocks are great and so is the ice machine. the grounds are well trimmed but actually i dobt think its good value compared to my usual site in Dorset.....sorry - we wont be back....for over £3500 we can easily rent a holiday home with all the facilities for a 3 family gathering.
How disappointing for you! Can’t believe there was no kettle or couches especially when you have paid so much money. We liked our stays but obviously we were on a caravan pitch but we would have been disappointed too if we had paid so much. Now curious to know what your favourite Dorset site is. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
we love Wareham Forest Touring Park. The site is open all year. we love our winter and summer weekends. Fantastic forest walks, heated swimming pool in summer and massive playing field for grandchildren, dedicated dog walking field for off leash fun, well stocked shop. BUT no bar or social club on site. in the summer you can take a bus from the site to popular beaches and Corfe Castle We love Wareham Village with lots of pubs and takeawys plus a historic church( car or taxi required). Its a saxon village with a river quayside where there's a Saturday food market and Boat trips to Poole Harbour. The nearby Tank museum is great for rainy days. We have just arrived for the 2nd week of our holiday and looking forward to Bournemouth air show. Our week at Concierge made us appreciate our favourite site even more. For those who dont work - half the site is used by people who leave their big touring caravans and awnings out all summer. Studland beach has a national trust cafe and safe clean swimming with views of Poole Harbour and Old Harrty's rocks. Wishing I lived here 😊
It may be very expensive but we couldn't book at all this year, but watching this I'll try again next year,at the moment I'm sat in the sun at tretham mill in Cornwall, if you haven't been you must❤

I'm afraid the concierge site is way above my state pension funds. I can cope with Old Oaks and Eye Kettleby though.😊
However lovely site, used one of those cassette cleaners at Old Oaks didn't do the job properly.
Peckworth looks wonderful.
Bosham was absolutely brilliant, what an experience.
Those two cars nearly had a big repair bill.
Hey Dave didn't hear any extreme words when that car pulled in front of you 🤔
Thanks guys really enjoyed it.
Thumbs up thumped 👍
....Pete and Su....
@@delphjunction1168 Hi Pete & Su,
Hope you’re both well. Cracking site and lovely area. Thought I’d bit my tongue just in time when the car pulled in front of me, perhaps you read my mind 😂. Old Oaks is on the radar, just not sure yet when we can get there but watch this space! ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Dave and Helen, thanks for yet another great video, are you still traveling the south coast ??
All the best and safe travels,
Neil
Hi Neil, we’ve been back over a month now and been back to one of our favourite haunts in Suffolk ✈️. Really enjoyed our trip South and we’re just discussing we’re next? Hope you’re well and thanks as always. Helen & Dave 👍
@@HelenandDave you've got to do a Kent and Sussex trip sometime soon
@@mentalneil yes, that’s another one we need to look at too👍
@@mentalneil if youre going to Kent….the lovely “Hawthorne Farm” near St Margarets bay should be top of the list…
Name that site in Dorset….
Love to know where in Dorset
@@liz-ou4sv Same 😄
we love Wareham Forest Touring Park. Wishing I lived here 😊
It may be very expensive but we couldn't book at all this year, but watching this I'll try again next year,at the moment I'm sat in the sun at tretham mill in Cornwall, if you haven't been you must❤
Hi Jim, that says it all really, it's pricey but definitely worth every penny in our opinion. Hope you're enjoying Cornwall, we really need to get there with the caravan. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Too expensive, and car parking location? it's like the caravanners Dorchester, perhaps for special occasions, but then every trip is special.
Enjoy yourself folks
Hello. Lovely site but bit expensive carn't see Keith paying that much he'll stick with CAMC. Nice little village. We're away nxt week carnt wait. Thankyou. Xx
Hi Alison & Keith, hope you’re well. It is pricey but a nice place for a treat. Where are you heading on your next trip? Hope you have a nice time, Helen & Dave 👍
@@HelenandDave I'll have to twist Keiths arm for nxt year for our anniversary. 😁. Going Chirk then home for a week then off to Tewskbury to meet friends. Take care. X
Yes dave
They have opened up the top end of site visits
Its always busy
They have got it spot on if you are happy to pay
Great set of guys and have some great functions
Cheers bill
Thanks for the info, yes the team there are excellent. Thanks again :o)
Good excuse to be stuck in the pub as the tide has come in 😂
😂😂🍺🍺 love it 👍
That’s a bit to high end for me lol but I must say that did look like an amazing site. The fertility’s looked fantastic, that Japanese food looked great, the toilet cassette cleaner blew my mind and most importantly I noticed Guinness on tap 😂
Hi Ben, your attention to detail is amazing, we didn’t notice the Guinness 😂 Great site and the most expensive we have stayed on. Pleased to see your channel is growing nicely too, keep up the good work 👍👍Helen & Dave
Thought those cars were going to be in trouble!!
Yeah, another 10 minutes and they may have been in trouble!
Hi dave
Hope helen is all ok
The cost of the ones over the stream seem to be a tad high £199.00 per night on a weekend
But a great site we go often 👍
They know how to charge Bill lol however, it was busy whilst we were there so people clearly are prepared to pay. Thanks again, take care, Helen & Dave
😂 the comment I took a picture of him (Henry VIII) followed by Dave’s quick wit response.. hilarious
😂 Wit is about the only thing he does do quickly 😂 Thanks for watching, Helen & Dave 👍
Looks lovely but expensive, is it nice and quiet?
Hi Janice, yes, on both occasions we have been there we found it to be quiet. The bar and food areas get busy at weekends and that area is open to non campers too. It's expensive but in a different class. Cheers, Helen & Dave
@@HelenandDave thanks
I think it’s lovely….the staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble…and the other campers are really nice. To you,,you wont find any rudeness here…it’s like shopping at Waitrose ,a nice experience.if you ever you were to get upset here, theres a danger of somebody saying “oh sweetheart, whatever’s the matter ? Have a nice glass of chilled champagne..”
£65 is expensive for site, but still offers value or money as otherwise It would be empty, not full for months in advance. Though I love around that part of Sussex, Concierge has become a destination in itself. I’m not sure you can give a site anymore praise than that.
Hi Peter, you've nailed it there! The place is full with almost no availability. Says it all really and we loved it! Thanks for watching, Helen & Dave
Very nice but I'm afraid 65 quid a night is ott. Its a site for the haves not have nots.
Hi Graham, thanks for watching. It's certainly the most expensive site we have been on and not somewhere or the sort of site we would visit regularly but it was a treat for us and only a short break. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
TBH Dave, I would say both.
Hi Sooty, I think you're right, it really is a fab place and a nice treat too. Thanks for watching, Cath you on the next one! Helen & Dave
Prices of sites around the country are getting ridiculous. We just spent FOUR weeks in France for less than the price of ONE week at this site🤷🏼?
Horses for courses Leslie but I do agree the prices are going up & up! Hope you had a good time in France 👍
Were the sites in France as nice ?..you can get it for £15 in this country…but you have to chew on the gristle..
@@griswald7156 that’s true 👍
