There is something so kind of strange or weird about when they make specific faces or poses on this carpet walk. Like they can't just look normal and smile or seem natural, it's these little moments that celebrities seem weird as hell.

photographers are catching multiple frames per second or so and thus, the need for celebrities to hit every pose or risk an unflattering photo. All about knowing your angles and listening to the cues being shouted at you and looking at that photographer with a pose ready.
it is bizarre though because there is nothing like red carpets anywhere else in society.. it's like being put under an extreme magnifying glass for a minute or two and hoping what they record reflects how you are trying to present.
