I can't believe how steady and stable he is now! When he was a little guy he was kinda tipping over a lot. He's gotten so strong now. Y'all have done great things for Huckleberry. Thank you!
Same-- I feel like an aunt seeing niblings and being like "you've gotten so BIG!", but it's true! It's wonderful (ayyy) to see Huckleberry doing so well, AW does really good work. Jessi thank you for sharing with us!
He does so well now! ❤ I still see him struggle, especially in new spaces where he doesn't know the terrain. I think the vision impairment in his right eye makes him more cautious and moving slower helps make his stumbling less noticable.
@@deezball6422 Allow me to put your mind at ease kiddo. When forming a contraction the apostrophe stands in for the missing letters. Y'all is a contraction for "you all." When you shorten the phrase the "ou" in "you" is omitted and the apostrophe put in its place. "Thank you." is a sentence because of the implied subject "I" as in "I thank you." If you are still having a difficult time understanding be sure to ask your grammar teacher. I bet she or he can do a better job explaining the concepts to you.

Holy smokes, Jessi, this little guy isn't so little anymore and look how comfortable he is hanging out in your lap getting ear scratches from you! I'm very impressed with the progress of his mobility and that is, obviously, a direct result of your care and stimulation. Thank you for that. I love the way he went directly to the tree and started working on it right away. He knows what to do intuitively. Huckleberry and Kemosabe were two of the earliest videos I found on your channel and, although they ALL make me grin from ear to ear the entire episode, Huckleberry and Kemosabe make my face hurt from the smiling. Well done!
Huckleberry is a very fond reminder of many pleasant hours boating up Lindbergh Lake and then floating around watching the beavers! Learned to love them in those long ago days.
I literally just "binge-watched" Huckleberry's story with your amazing assistance to see this video pop-up on the homepage when I finished. Coincidence?! Yes, probably, but the point is Huckleberry is great. Also your general tips for stimulating animal mental processes and keep them out of boredom has made my cat bond with me in a way I didn't even realize was possible beforehand. THANK YOU for being awesome. #Huckleberry2020
I think your videos are well done, very informational, and well of course amazingly adorable! Animals are such a wonderful gift to us. Huckleberry is so chubby, and round. His cuteness is overwhelming! Your videos make me feel good as I'm sure they do to other viewers. Thank you so much for making of them!
I'll be moving out of the South and up towards the Northwest in the near future, so I hope to see more beauties like Huckleberry! Beavers really are lovely.
You're awesome, the love and care you provide for Huckleberry is so wonderful and kind. I am so glad that I just came upon this channel now, I've subscribed to 'all'.....this is precious. Good Job!!!❤❤
Huckleberry is my absolute favorite of all the Animal Wonders critters I wish you would set a streaming live cam for him and some of the other critters so we could just hang out and watch these amazing animals .
Aww this was so heartwarming! Beavers really are amazing animals. They don't get enough credit. Thank you for making these videos with Huckleberry and educating us about how awesome he and his species are! :)
I watched a David Attenborough clip about beavers and despite learning about them as a kid I still learned a lot more! In the summer they cut down trees (always seemed to be leafy trees) and drag them back to their pond and "plant" them in the mud at the bottom. Davis said the cool temperatures at the bottom of the pond is like a refrigerator, and it keeps the trees fresh all through the winter and they go and eat them all winter from there. It is super cool! I always thought they hibernated, but I learned something 😁
I ADORE Huckleberry 😍 He is so relatable to by humans, because his behaviour is sort of analogous to our own, ie methodically building a residence, landscaping his surroundings and generally creating a comfortable environment for himself. His diet is incredible! Wowie zowie, imagine noshing a tree for breakfast! That’s dietary fibre big time! Beavers always remind me of a lady I used to know, who had rather similar facial features - minus the fur, of course - and the same kind of highly organised, methodical temperament and energetic but unostentatious way of going about her business. You are so, so blessed to have such a wonderful friend in your life, he has a lovely personality but he’s also so stroke-able and tactile with his gorgeous silky fur and that amazing tail 💕 When I was little, I got a copy of “Sajo and her Beaver People” by Grey Owl. “Grey Owl” was a most interesting person, who championed the study of beavers, perhaps you could do a presentation on him one time? I live in Scotland, where the Royal Zoological Society is re-introducing beavers into the wild. Watching Huckleberry makes me want to go and see these amazing creatures up close. It’s very encouraging to see how he’s managing despite his ataxia: presumably he is developing his faculties to compensate for the deficiency, as indeed one sees in disabled people. It’s a huge tribute to your care that he’s able, despite his disability, to go on to lead a full, normal beaver existence.
There is a beaver in Berlin living in the river near my house. The first time I saw it in the water munching I was so surprised how big they are. I always thought they would be the size of a cat but nope more like a dog sizewise. And really loud eaters lol
I did something similar to surprise the kids at work. The primary (elementary) school was throwing away several branches and the big logs they'd been using at tree stands. I took these and placed them around the forest site we use for the kids to discover and they had the best time making dens and building things with the logs.
I feel like you teach as much about valuing animals (and, by implication, people) with disabilities as much as you do about animals in general. Love this channel.
I think the Huckleberry videos have been among my favorites, but then I have a lot. Keep doing what you are doing, and if possible, maybe show more of the people involved in these wonderful videos. It takes a team to make it all work, and we would love to see some of them as well. Thank you and thank you for your efforts!!!
Huckleberry is an amazing beaver! He's had some struggles, but he continues to be a fully functional beaver: chewing branches, building a lodge and being totally cute! Thanks for highlighting Huckleberry! 💕👍😊
I've been watching 5 and 4 year old videos of yours , ( do you age at all ? ) still look the same and just as cute . I love these animal videos , I have two pomeranians and they are my life . My cockatiels died over the past few years , they lived a long good life .
I saw a beaver swimming in the lake at my apartment and first thought about Huckleberry. Also, their chewing is so loud I heard it across the lake, I couldn't see the detail on the beaver, but I heard it. I knew it was a beaver because I saw him close up before... It also turns out there's a baby and another one. 😍
Look at him go!! It’s hard to decide my favorite part of this video, but it’s between Huckleberry bringing the trees through the dog door and him stacking branches on the igloo 😂
I love how beavers figure out where to fix leaks in their dams. They listen for the sound of running water. So if you put a speaker playing that sound in their dam they will just cover it in branches and mud.
I think it's very interesting that Huckleberry would like to eat such resinous trees. I would have expected his favorite to be maple because it would be sweeter than the bitter pine trees and gummy aspen and birch. It seems like such a good natural balance to me that beavers might actually prefer to take down the fastest growing trees like birch, aspen, and pine, potentially making room for the longer lived ones like oak, walnut, and chestnut. But maybe it's just Huck's preference. It makes me want to know more about the beneficial role beavers play in building long term forests. BTW this is my favorite thing about this channel. I never would have thought to ask what kind of trees beavers like to eat most before I watched this video, now I have learned something new and have a bunch more questions I want answers to. Animal Wonders makes me a better, kinder, more curious individual. Thank you Jessie and everyone else at Animal Wonders.
it amazes me how animals that did not have a natural parent still know how to do stuff, like biting at the base of the branch is not something he was taught, he just knows
Sometimes it’s just in their genes. That’s instinct for ya. And yet it’s so interesting how on the other hand, there are species of birds who do not know how to fly without parental teaching and lots of practice.
somehow people always forget that animals are not dumb, biting not at the base of a brunch is a stupid thing to do, he is probably smart enough to just figure it out
I like how he just walks to the tree and gets to work. Like "I'm a beaver. That's a tree. I got a job to do."

My heart melted when he went over to the first tree because he appeared to be so happy. He was so funny watching him drag the trees in. 😻
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree. How tasty are your branches...
I was thinking more along the lines of 'Oh Tannenbaum, om nom nom nom...' but yours is good too ;)

The weird satisfaction of seeing ZERO dislikes 😌 pure, wholesome content- I would also sell my soul to Huckleberry.
Squadallaaa aaa
There are a couple now, but this is probably the channel with the best ratio of likes to dislikes that I have ever seen in my life.
Brian Young yeah... it’s like, impossible to have NO dislikes because there’s always that one person who’s like, “I’m gonna just dislike cuz I CAN”
Or extremely picky people who dislike because of one minor thing in the vid they didn't care for.
Huckleberry is my spirit animal
You have a goooood heart! Your love for the critters really comes across. So glad they have you!
Your positivity and love are what helped Huckleberry, grow into the healthy beaver that he is today. You are an amazing person who makes a difference.
I loved watching him carrying the branches, he seemed really happy! Thank you so much for all you do for these animals.
That's seriously one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. "What's that? Small pine tree? Yeah, that'll fit through my door."
