Can you understand the shit from the fake merc Jason Blaha aka Jason Blohole the Tom Platz of abs! Said that he has more muscle mass than serge. The turtle back water retention lake michigan, gyno tits , biceps Lee Priest, legs Tom Platz , back Dormans Yates. Type in TH-cam How to spot a fake fatty. Also Natty lifter and Jason Blohole stolen valor and good luck with the truth
His posing was deliberate and forceful. Like a peacock strutting his stuff. It's exactly in my opinion how a routine should go. Serge was majestic and it's a shame he was marginalized due to his color. A true alpha male, he exuded confidence and had an air of triumph about him. Like a rooster (cock) strutting before his harem of hens.
When I was around 10 years old my dad took me to a fitness expo where we got a signature of Serge on my dads lifting belt. I still have it in my garage gym today, very proud of it.
His insertions are like literally perfect. I remember thinking that he looked more conditioned than Arnold or Lou when watching Pumping Iron but I figured "eh, what do I know, right?" lol
This man was an `icon` in the true sense, bodybuilding is subjective like all art forms but the consensus has to be he was a product of hard work and fabulous genetics. The ideal male physique.
The reason why I started to lift weight, saw a clip of him, footage of posing, training and competitions, discovered his dedicated youtube channel and got blown away by his charisma, esthetic and overall strong body.
I've waited so long for a Serge Nubret's vid, Nick. One of the best bodies ever. Everything just flawless, exactly how someone who even isnt in bodybuildin would love to look like. Im gonna watch the vid and already left the like even before starting as usual, because never been disappointed by your awesome work. Keep up the awesome work.
In the history of the IFBB there was a lot of bodybuilders should had been given the Olympia championship but their glory was denied due to business interest of the corporation. Who can bring in more money to the shows who can expand the sport and create more wealth!!
Serge has athletic looking legs. Legs don’t need to be oversized and cartoonish. His upper body lightly overpowers his lower body is one of the reasons he is so aesthetic.
I knew Serge personnaly. When i started my career in Sarcelles France 🇫🇷, he made my first register in the world gym in Sarcelles. For me is one of the best all time ! Thanks a lot for that video Nick! 👍🏾😀
I had the privilege of training with Serge when he visited Len Sell’s gym in Walthamstow in East London. He was a great guy! I trained bench press with him and saw him do 10 reps, very strict and controlled with 400 pounds, very impressive indeed. RIP Serge.
I met him at a show in Rimini Italy in 97. Absolutely nice guy and maintained that ridiculous shape at 50+ years old. One of the best physiques of all time...
He used to work out at Cypress CA Gold's Gym off Orange Ave around 1993. He was still phenomenal. Huge too. His workouts were super intense. High reps. He would squat 50+ reps.
I have never seen that thumbnail picture on the right Nick. That is about as legit as it gets!!! Great video highlighting one of the greatest of all time. His chill and calm composure and facial expressions on stage made it all that much greater
Thanks Nick for another blast from the past!Serge was The Black Panther a nickname that is befitting to his graceful conditioned and muscular Physique! So definitely one of the uncrowned Mr Olympia’s in my book!
Very respectful and spot on video. This dude was nuts for his time and deserves every bit of respect and admiration for his physique. Still my favourite era of bodybuilding.
Easily my favorite physique of all time and the one that got me started in bodybuilding. Beautiful abs, chest and arms in particular. Great proportions, lines and symmetry. It is mass with real class without being overdone. Looks better than either the open or classic classes of today imho.
This guy had the perfect balance of mass and symmetry. Great muscle density in his chest but yet he still possessed great detail in his abdominal region.
toddinhali: I am a puny mother fucker, but my traps are actually pretty big compared to everything else, and they've only gotten indirect work via deadlifts and presses. So I believe Sergio here.
Come on stop Beeding around the bush bruh there was 1 more theory why he didn’t get as much screen time and it was the fact that he wasn’t seen as marketable AT THE TIME as Arnold and Lou because he was of color
I met Serge Nubret when he was 51 years old gest posing for his own show. I can tell you that he was better than any bodybuilder on stage and they were all impressive. His abs and how he manipulated them shocked the audience. I can't describe it but I'll do my best. It was like an old airport flight board where the number and letters kept flipping, they appear and then disappear. Never seen something like this before nor after. He posed with such grace. They guy was classy and very smart. If you can understand french lookup his interviews.
Serge Nubret and Thierry Pastel had the most underrated physiques of all time, according to a 2000's ad for Tiratricol! Serge could make his abs slide around, it was freaky impressive.
Greetings from Australia . Absolutely agree. And he’s was in amazing condition in his early 50 as well. There are is a couple of vids of him getting back into training shortly before he strangely passed , still in great shape.
This was first inspiration and my introduction to bodybuilding, when I was very young my brother showed me a pic of this man named Serge and I was in shock and thought wow he looks amazing. My favorite of all time only because of the impact on me.
I feel like Nubret is the guy EVERYONE is thinking of or referring to (consciously or unconsciously) when that talking point cliche of “Sure that guy has the most mass or superior back or sickest conditioning but who’s physique would you actually want to have?”. Nubret every day, just phenomenal aesthetics: big round muscle bellies with deep separation and conditioning, perfectly fitting a great frame/bone structure. The dude deserved all the awards. Honestly people are always going on about Olivia’s incomparable genetics, Lou’s mass or Arnold’s legendary chest and champion arms from the Golden Era but Nubret always stood out to me as the first and last word in aesthetics and the physique most people wanted to desperately attain.
Interesting topic, very thought provoking. I think that Serge Nubret is absolutely a Golden Era icon and there's a very good argument that he could have or should have held the Mr. Olympia title at some point had the playing field been level. The Weiders gave us so much but they also took so much...looking back their shine certainly tarnishes under the light of true facts. Serge Nubret, in today's language, could be considered collateral damage as he was kinda run over by the Weider Machine. Sometimes ignorance can be bliss 'cause when we peel back the covers and take a peek at what makes the wheels go 'round in the world simple happiness can be lost. Serge moved on though, he had a longer life than some and I hope that he was at least reasonably happy. We've just gotta keep on keepin' on. Great video Nick, thanks! ...............................PEACE!!
I've always considered Serge Nubrets physique the best overall of all time. I'm 60 years young and have been around long enough to have witnessed the greats. Thanks for posting this Nick.
Nick I really think its great that you don't only post videos of current bodybuilding but also the founding fathers who's symmetry and definition got us to this point. Thanks for both new and old displays of aesthetic muscular perfection.
I AGREE WITH YOU! I HAVE MET HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES HE WAS A GREAT GENTELMAN AND HE ALWAYS SAID; NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY PAY ME I WILL NOT ATTEND THE EVENT FOR MONEY UNLESS I AM IN GOOD SHAPE
Definitely one of the best bodybuilders from the Golden Era. I believe you're right, Nick. If he didn't go on with his own bodybuilding organization after '75, he could very well have won the Olympia several times. R.I.P. Serge
Same old story - you can have all the quality in the world, commitment, drive, but if your face don't fit because of politics, race etc, your doomed! Bless Serge....I thought his physique was about as flawless, as you get!
Serge's physique was truly phenomenal and an immortal example of how aesthetics and mass should complement together. He had round muscle bellies and small muscle insertions that looked aesthetically pleasing. His muscle lines flowed together smoothly from one body part to the next. His muscles had a round bulge that seamlessly tapers down then bulges up again in another body part. Serge had many outstanding body parts that meshed together. His forearms were round. His traps were huge. His ab cuts were deep. His triceps and biceps size were so balanced, unlike Arnold who had oversized biceps in relation to his triceps. Serge's back was detailed. His rear delts were thick and defined. Serge's weak point were his asymmetrical abs, but the deep cuts somehow made up for this deficiency. Arnold had mediocre upper abs and zero lower ab definition. Competitors in today's open bodybuilding have the worst lines in terms of aesthetics. As a result of chemical use, their body parts looks out of place like tumors growing out of their insertions. They have so much mass distributed in their thighs with flaring outer quads that stick out like meat slabs. Jack Kirby was a comic illustrator that drew heroes with fantastic muscle bellies. Serge was the bodybuilder that resembled these characters' proportions. Flex Wheeler was another bodybuilder with supreme aesthetics at some point in his career but overdid his development to pursue greater mass. Serge managed to maintain his mass and aesthetics as much as he can.
Great insights Nick have you done anything on Rick Wayne he had a superb physique back in the day with outstanding arms. Love your work brining back the old guys maybe something on Roger Callard or some of Vince’s gyms bodybuilders. Keep on keeping on man
"Serge Nubret: Uncrowned Mr. Olympia" The title says it all.His conditioning and general structure was fantastic. If only he had continued. Can one image his physique if he had been born in later years and competed in the 80's or 90's ?Definitely one of my favourite body builders of all time.
Nick you need to make another video on Flex Wheeler I feel like he is also an uncrown Mr. Olympia as well or at least make a video regarding the best physiques at the history of the Arnold Classics
In my opinion Serge Nubret had one of the best physiques of all time.
Better than Arnold imo.
Perhaps the most aesthetic physique in bodybuilding, next to Zane (though Serge was more muscular).
Not just your opinion
I've been saying this for years.
Holy crap, it's Aboud!! I'm a big fan of you bro.
Am i the only one around here who always thought he looked better than Arnold?
Russel Blacker Yazzz! 👏👏👏 He also had much smaller hips and waist. Arnold never came close.
No, you're not alone. I have definitely thought that since I first saw the photos from the 1975 Olympia.
Yes.
Russel Blacker i agree
He looks better than Arnold
Serge Nubrett....Absolutely the most aesthetic physique of all time.....the conditioning is really sick.
Agreed Abhishek!
Abhishek Raj Shaw it piss it revolting it’s insulting
As much as I like Zane's a Paris's physiques, Serge's uncontestable.
He was the real father of aesthetics, not frank zane
Those cuts in his abs are so deep, you can hide coins in them
Bitcoins, that is.
You got that right!
When you hit 1000+ a day then that's what you get
They would be crushed when he started doing crunches.
You could cuy cheese there indeed
I think Serge had the most classic physique ever , even better than that of Frank Zane. I would even choose his body over that of Arnold tbh.
Nah his legs were poor!
He had the poorest legs and calves I’ve ever seen at that level.
yet, better than arnold dude.
I agree with Marlon.
Anderson Earle @4:38 You need to get your eyes checked if you think those legs are better than Arnold’s
I agree in part. Frank Zane is my favorite bodybuilder the master of Athletics. Serge did have a larger upper body.
It's criminal how he was mistreated by the IFBB.
Thats white people for u... ✌
Serge Nubret has my absolute dream physique
Man tell me about it
4:05 to 4:26 look how insanely appealing Serge delivers the routine. A mix of elegance, energy and pride. The black panther, defintely.
Wow! Imagine him as Black Panther (in the movie).
Just amazing
Could Serge's midsection have beaten Phil's gut?
Easily
No
Would have been swallowed
It's like a skinny guy tries to fight an agressive fat guy😂
He would sue serge's midsection
RIP Serge, I will reserve a WWE Contract in memory of you. Phil’s Contract is retracted
Good luck with legal
fake ass vince
I love this comment. Good one. :D
😅
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Could Phil have sued Serge's midsection?
Best comment by far
Hahahaha fucking grill Phil boys! Grillem!
Nick's Tent and Shower eh. What about Nick's Sink and Shower? Nick's Soap and Powder?
Haha lol
LMFAO!!! 😆
Serge nubret is a god of aesthetics.
Ole Roeder THEE GOD of Aesthetics
Yes, and Frank Zane.
So true about Serge. He had one heck a physique. His conditioning was incredible. Great History lesson Nick!
@@murrayculix His small midsection and V Taper were impressive though.
The real and unique Black Panther, Serge Nubret. Incredible and monumental physique.
This man was an `icon` in the true sense, bodybuilding is subjective like all art forms but the consensus has to be he was a product of hard work and fabulous genetics. The ideal male physique.
Guys chest is unreal
The chest of a god!
Great chest but compared to Arnold it wasn't as well shaped, it was too round.
@@VCthaGOATdunker you want a really round chest, nobody wants a square chest
The reason why I started to lift weight, saw a clip of him, footage of posing, training and competitions, discovered his dedicated youtube channel and got blown away by his charisma, esthetic and overall strong body.
The black Panther!
His physique was ahead of it's time.
I've waited so long for a Serge Nubret's vid, Nick. One of the best bodies ever. Everything just flawless, exactly how someone who even isnt in bodybuildin would love to look like.

has anyone seen my blue t-shirt?
Mike Katz Lol
Mike Katz Love your haircut Mike.
I think Waller had it
Ahh Kenny won, that’s great
Are you still a High School Principal/ Educator Mike ?
Serge has athletic looking legs. Legs don’t need to be oversized and cartoonish. His upper body lightly overpowers his lower body is one of the reasons he is so aesthetic.

Superlative aesthetic lines. God- given genetic structure. Classic bodybuilder.
I met him at a show in Rimini Italy in 97. Absolutely nice guy and maintained that ridiculous shape at 50+ years old.

RIP...Black Panther you sweet aesthetic prince. Most aesthetic human to ever live.
If I could be built like anybody in the history of bodybuilding, my first choice would be Serge Nubret..... Thanks for an awesome video!
I have never seen that thumbnail picture on the right Nick. That is about as legit as it gets!!! Great video highlighting one of the greatest of all time. His chill and calm composure and facial expressions on stage made it all that much greater
Serge!! My all time favorite classic physique
Thanks Nick for another blast from the past!Serge was The Black Panther a nickname that is befitting to his graceful conditioned and muscular Physique! So definitely one of the uncrowned Mr Olympia’s in my book!
Serge Nubrett and Frank Zane are my all time favorite bodybuilders
Yeah.... regarding this video. An attorney is going to contact you soon. There will be no further correspondence between you and I. Take care
😂😂😂😂
Good luck with legal
Phil really made a joke of himself with that one.
Good luck with legal.
God could Phil Heath be anymore cringier?
Great vid. Serge has always been one of my favorite bodybuilders. And certainly an uncrowned Mr. O.
Very respectful and spot on video. This dude was nuts for his time and deserves every bit of respect and admiration for his physique. Still my favourite era of bodybuilding.
Damn thats a pleasing physice
Thanks for the video man! Serge has one of the greatest flow to his physique. He deserved a Olympia title
This dude's chest was phenomenal
Still my favorite body builder of all time. Love his physique.
He was an absolute legend. Thanks Nick really enjoyable.

Every body part on Serge was aesthetic. How does one get aesthetic traps?
Moe's - even his cock?
And he claims to have never worked them directly, just a byproduct of various rowing exercises.
Right.
toddinhali: I am a puny mother fucker, but my traps are actually pretty big compared to everything else, and they've only gotten indirect work via deadlifts and presses. So I believe Sergio here.
He is my favorite body builder, a very underated body builder... Thank u for telling his story.... Great video
Plus he was 42 years when he competed against Arnold being 28 years old.
Come on stop Beeding around the bush bruh there was 1 more theory why he didn’t get as much screen time and it was the fact that he wasn’t seen as marketable AT THE TIME as Arnold and Lou because he was of color
Yep we dont have to pretend like we don't know what the real cause was.
Yeah, partially true, but then Sergio Oliva won a whole bunch in the same organization, so.....
Another theory also was that he was French and there would be a language barrier for him to communicate well and to the viewers to enjoy the movie.
Nah, considering that Sergio Oliva won the Olympia three years in a row in the 60s, it is a ridiculous argument.
Then what about Sergio Olivia?
I met Serge Nubret when he was 51 years old gest posing for his own show. I can tell you that he was better than any bodybuilder on stage and they were all impressive. Classic but Herculian. Massive but aesthetic. The most perfect physique of all time.
Of all the bodybuilders I've seen Serge has the physique that I'd want, absolutely unreal.
Fantastic video. Thanks for doing it Serge was phenomenal and doesn’t get his due in the upper echelon of all time greats of the sport.
He had a way of posing that was so elegantly fierce that he never EVER had to crack a smile lol
Serge has that special place in my heart this man is almost perfect
Serge Nubret and Thierry Pastel had the most underrated physiques of all time, according to a 2000's ad for Tiratricol! Serge could make his abs slide around, it was freaky impressive.
His legs are kinda weak but his upper body is insane! His striations in his chest and shoulders are crazy

Thank you for giving this guy his just due. I have always felt this way.
A totally complete physique, amazing.
Phil Heath's lawyer is an uncrowned Mr. Olympia!
no now is a wrestler because accepted the contract that vince offered to him
This guy is, no questions about it, the best bodybuilder of all in my opinion! May Serge rest in peace!
I've always considered Serge Nubrets physique the best overall of all time. I'm 60 years young and have been around long enough to have witnessed the greats. Thanks for posting this Nick.
He should be made into a trophy 🏆 for classic physique 👍
The 70s body builders were the best.
I felt surge was overlooked because of Wieder’s obsession and pre-commitment with Arnold.
Nick I really think its great that you don't only post videos of current bodybuilding but also the founding fathers who's symmetry and definition got us to this point. Thanks for both new and old displays of aesthetic muscular perfection.
Dammm Nick thanks for the video my favorite bodybuilder of all times Serge been waiting for this video for a while😊💪
Yes finally a serge nubret video thank you
Serge Nubret is from my island, Guadeloupe. And from the same town as my parents, Sainte-Rose. Thanks for this tribute to him.
Could've easily won in 76
The Smart Atheist quite possibly but you'd want to win against Arnold and Lou. Not just bc they aren't there...you want to know you beat the 'best'.
he probably would have won from '76 to '79
Who won in 76? I thought 75 was Arnold's last so who won 76?
ronki, Peter Falk won in 76 I think. Just one more thing.... I believe Serge whipped Arnie's botty in 75.
Pretty tough to win the200 lb+ class when you weigh 200 lbs.
I AGREE WITH YOU! I HAVE MET HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES HE WAS A GREAT GENTELMAN AND HE ALWAYS SAID; NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY PAY ME I WILL NOT ATTEND THE EVENT FOR MONEY UNLESS I AM IN GOOD SHAPE
By far, one of the most aesthetic physiques of all time.
Yeah this guy even for today’s standards had a great physique.Very underatated
Definitely one of the best bodybuilders from the Golden Era. I believe you're right, Nick. If he didn't go on with his own bodybuilding organization after '75, he could very well have won the Olympia several times. R.I.P. Serge
Serge Nubret was definitely one of the greatest bodybuilders, ever!! One of the true legends of the sport!! 💪🏾👍🏾
To me he is within the top 5 bodybuilders of all time.
I used to think him and Sergio Oliva were the same guy
Same
Same
Same
I used to think my nan was my mum
I used to get confused between him and lee haney.
That’s who I try to mold my physique after
Kelly Brown GetFitWithKB ha! Sick man, I can see it!!
Notice how massive he is with no bubble guts. Now that's a physique to die for.
Nubret and Samir are personally my two favorite bodybuilders all time
Back to old school vids love it!
One of your best videos nick loved it
It’s about time! Serge Nubret🏆
Serge's body was absolutely amazing
Serge managed to maintain his mass and aesthetics as much as he can.
awesome video agree 100 percent keep up the vood work !😊😁
Great insights Nick have you done anything on Rick Wayne he had a superb physique back in the day with outstanding arms. Love your work brining back the old guys maybe something on Roger Callard or some of Vince’s gyms bodybuilders. Keep on keeping on man
Serge Nubret has a physique thats attainable.
"Serge Nubret: Uncrowned Mr. Olympia" The title says it all.His conditioning and general structure was fantastic. If only he had continued. Can one image his physique if he had been born in later years and competed in the 80's or 90's ?Definitely one of my favourite body builders of all time.
Hey nick you should do a vid about serge training method and diet
Nick you need to make another video on Flex Wheeler I feel like he is also an uncrown Mr. Olympia as well or at least make a video regarding the best physiques at the history of the Arnold Classics
Props to the judges for keeping it fair even though Ben Wieder wanted him out they still placed him where he deserved
Serge was incredible!...
