@@BowtellBows I set it for eq. moisture content of 8% So if Ieave a stave long enough that it stops losing weight, I know it’s at 8%. Much more precise than a moisture meter which only measures the outside of the wood
That is a great question. I used the hot box in my video of making a Purple Heart bow but in general it kept it at 150F in the winter time but would gradually climb in temp to 170F in a few hours. Hope that helps
Nicely done. Looks so much better than mine. I don’t do much heat curing so I only run it at a mild temperature that’s great for hickory bows
