"Do we really need another classical video set in a beautiful place, having the performer with eyes closed perform? Probably not. Do we need a video where we have the juxtoposition of a classical guitarist in a beautiful place, while reping tech death? Survey says.... why not?!" Truer words have never been spoken 💯
Music is music as a lifelong metal fan u learn to garner a appreciation for so many artists no matter the style being able to play different styles just proves how talented and multifaceted u are no one wants the same power metal riffing 24/7 5 year olds can play that shit
Allow me to validate the artist's masterpiece, by stating that this timeless masterpiece should stand the test of time generations from now, to be very highly regarded as very tasteful classic, imbued with the almighty soul of epic metal stratum!
this is so beautiful. Greg Burgess and Allegaeon have inspired me beyond what i can say. I bought my first 8 string because of them when Formshifter dropped. I Also was learning my one of the Vals outros on my acoustic, which in turn inspired me to buy a nylon string last summer. I was listening to Threshold of perception over the weekend and im like OK i need to learn to sweep pick (10 years later LOL) and i got the intro @ 210bpm just a few ago. I sit down for dinner and there is a new track from them! wow if thats not a sign. sorry getting long winded but i had to put somewhere just how influential these guys are
@Xray Heartland but i wasn't comparing, but opeth fans tends to always complain about how opeth is underrated and shit but there's a lot of awesome bands with almost no recognition and BTW i like opeth early albums but those latest ones are as boring as shit but is just my opinion
I lookig for this...thans Allegaeon..supreme stuff inside metal things your`re awesome...I love that...it's my Felling guys, just awesome..i loved thath
As ex military and living only an hours drive from Flanders, this strikes a chord (no pun Intended) you really need to visit Flanders, or at the very least, the Canadian war graves there.... Or the Menin Gate, where the names of those soldiers whose bodies were never found...... It changes everyone who goes there.... 😉
I went to Ypres and the Menin Gate a few years ago. One of my uncles’ uncle has his name on there (I obviously never met him) then I found this from In Flanders Fields by sabaton.
I love Greg repping some beautiful classic guitar while having tech-death shirts on... Soreption could gladly release a new album for all I care... Allegaeon as well, could be also acoustic only!
@Logan Ross I’ve heard of Buckethead way before Greg Burgess! Fun fact about Allegaeon they added me personally back in MySpace days a month before there first EP came out! It’s just a compliment that’s all I’m huge fan of Allegaeon and it’s amazing I’m been aware of there whole discography since each release!!! There so many great guitarist in the world but the way Greg goes about classical playing I love how he has mainstream it if you don’t mine me saying!
No Disrespect but if you wanna hear a F'n Metal song about the poppies in flanders field look up "The Men of No Man's Land" by Panzerfaust. Those dudes are their own genre.
@@brain4154 putting out more material, and being more active on social media. I know it's hard, but today's artists cannot just focus on musicianship. TH-cam will take over television. amazing acoustic guitar playin’ and string arrangements too, wish this song was much longer...
isn't enough words to describe how much we need Allegaeon in our lives. thank you
well hi dilly ho, neighborino! couldn't help but notice you're in my field...
Now, if only he played this left-handed!
Best comment on this one hahah
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🖤🖤🖤
Greg represents a new generation of players that are actually classically-trained, and take their craft serious, in how they play...

Beautiful music to accompany a beautiful poem about one of the greatest horrors and tragedies in history.
Lest we forget....
Greg! Acoustic guitar! That's all that needs to be shown
The whole poem at the start and the beautiful work on the acoustic can bring anyone to near tears.
God rest the men of Flanders fields.
Wooowww!! One chair, one guitar and a good musician!!! Thanks for this exceptional moment
A beautiful instrumental with a beautiful video - who could ask for more.

Playing a classic tune wearing soreption. Nicely done Greg 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Love the “soreption” shirt. Amazing band.
Opeth fans: "oh dear, my favourite band is so underestimated".... Allegaeon fans: "hold my pack of beers"
Lol nice try
This would be the intro to the song if it was Opeth 😅
@@OccasionalBeast I was legit thinking that lol.
@@vicedm1145 Great minds 😏

I like how battered his guitar looks. Gives it character.
Beautiful song!
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm rather jealous of his classical guitar skills.

I want to crack and eat some sunflower seeds after watching this... Weird me...
That field though.
Greg Burgess The best classical guitar player in USA 🇺🇸 In 2000’s Millennium period!!!
I guess you have never heard of Buckethead then?

This could be a great ending song for a fucking epic movie like LOTR
Or maybe a game like elder scrolls
Hell yeah Simpsons classical guitar sweetness

Oh, maar dit is geen Vlaams veld :)
Great instrumental but so confusing as to why they would make this a single and into a music video.
It wasn't a single, just filmed it and threw it out there.
