Great video! I found this on a Google search on 1541 reset circuit. Thought to myself that I have to remember to subscribe, then realized that I already was subscribed, haha. Thanks! :)
I just discovered your channel and am enjoying it very much. Subscribed now. Loved the bi-color LED push button circuit as well as this auto reset mod. If you have the time, you should really design a circuit board with both circuits integrated and make the Githib files available for download or perhaps submit them to PCBWay so Commodore users could build this combined circuit easily to install in there 1541's. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. So far my videos are just me toying around and are not very well thought out :-) But, after that reset video I was thinking I should have a board made up just as you described. I actually have a huge pile of 1541's that need some love but I definitely don't want to build all of that by hand! I'm working on a video now but after that I'll take some time and layout something and share. thanks again!
To be honest I'm not interested by the DOS rom switch even if it's very interesting. I'm saying that because I own an Action Replay 6 which is embed a lot of usefull utils and loads programs very fast. The main problem in fact is this 1541 power turn on/off constantly. So my question is : do you sell a 1541 simple reset switch ? If yes, I'm interested in purchasing one.
Sorry I don’t have anything for sale. Although it would be pretty simple to design a circuit to simply reset the disk drive and mount a button on the front. If you’re interested in that, I could do a quick video to show you how.
@@thecommodoreroom4554 PLEASE do :) And I will try to find someone to construct it for me (I'm zero at electronic). Many thanks ^^ And to speak about something else, I've seen once someone with a track digit displayer on his 1541. Nice feature especially for the ones who are interested in low level 1541 programming.
