    The people @LundBoatExperience always want to hear from their customers. What would you tell them they need?

    $160k is eye watering for sure but I can’t say enough about my 1975 Tyee with the 225 Merc. Comfortable, safe, and built like a tank.

    I bought a 2016 2175 pro V new, it was 84,000 USD fully rigged including the 350 L6 and 15 pro kicker. Hopefully it'll last me another 15 years. Great boat.

    I'm a tried and tru mercury fan owned the all my life no complaints only praise. Only thing is you can't begin to tell me that it cost that much to build that motor. I had a 19 foot sea hawk that was a work boat 🛥 I crab potted and ordered in it I had a 1986 black max 200 hp and there weren't a pleasure boat or work boat up or down the bay could beat me .but that motor was high enough but even that weren't worth what they cost.

    Something that the sales people never say is what the transom is made out of and how long until you have to replace it... The decking also is another issue that I had with my Lund Pro V, both the transom and decking rotted out and I put my foot through the rotted deck, and because of the rotted transom I almost sank my Pro V on the middle of Mille Lacs Lake in central Minnesota... Then my dealer wanted $3,000. to replace the rotted transom with some more of the same wood ... I elected to do as much as I could on my own to save some money, and then drove up to New York Mills, Minnesota where the Lund was made and had them replace the marine grade plywood which is going to rot out again... I wished I had known all this before buying a boat... That is my Lund experience...

      You must have bought a old used boat. Lund has given a lifetime warranty to the original owner since sometime in the 90's I believe.

    • @iamthenra1968
      @iamthenra1968 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MontanaWelldiggerNo... I bought it brand new. I drove to the Lund facility to have the work done, if there was a warranty it was long gone by the time the failures occurred. From what I understand is that the new models have synthetic materials that will never rot out. I never knew that rotting transoms and decking was ever a thing... live and learn and BTW it's a 1995 Pro-V Deluxe

      I can get a nice 29 foot Pacifc Skiff alum boat with a t top, outboard, electronics for less. And a 29 footer can go off shore/near shore.

  • @fongvang935

    Sad to say but there are better built boats for cheaper. The price is insane. You can get a fully loaded skeeter wx2200, vexus dvx22 and even a ranger 622fs for 30-40k less with better electronics, hydro jack plates, etc. Sorry man, who in the right mind will pay 160k for a 20ft aluminum boat.
    I am not sure what Lund is thinking but last year when i was boat shopping and the dealer was Lund/Ranger dealer and i look at the pro v gl, going for 125k, with no electronics and went to the other side and saw a ranger 622fs for 121k, already equipped with two 12in birds, ulterra 72in 112v, and it was a no brainer which one ti buy. Over the course of the summer all the rangers were gone while their floor was full of Lunds.
    I owned an 18-foot aluminum, and it was a beast but it was still affordable at 30k, now for the same setup, it's 60k.

      Most of the time they make more at the prop than they’re rated for. My merc 150 puts out 163 at the prop. The 175 outs out 193. So more than you’d think and expect.
