    I bought a Mighty Max battery for a beater CBR500R I used to own. I once left that bike parked outside, untouched for 4 months and it fired right up when needed. I was so impressed with it, I bought one for my Ninja 300 6 months ago and one for my Speed Triple this morning. Total coincidence to see you made a video on them today.

    I'm 69. I own Mid Atlantic Cycle in southern PA. The finest motorcycle batteries available in north America are both out of southern PA plants. Yuasa and Deka...right up the road from me. A very close 2nd is Mighty Max. They are less than half the price of Yuasa and Deka down here and we sell probably 100 a year. If properly maintained and not abused or run down to nothing...they last an average of 5 years in most applications. Can't beat them for the price.

    Mine has been fine for at least 3 seasons now. Before that the factory battery lasted me from 2008 to roughly 2017.

    All 12 volts batteries I've had hold around 13.5 volts. Lead acid,AGM etc. Most autos alternators are putting out 14 to 14.5 volts. I can't speak for the longevity of mighty max batteries but 13.5 volts isn't anything to be concerned about

      Fake news....a fully charged 12 v batt will show 12.7 volts....at 12.4 volts its 50 pcnt dead...at 12...its dead...deep cycled...✌

    I just ordered a mighty max battery for my zx66, however it is a ytx9-bs and was only about $30 with free shipping. This was after trying to buy a battery at walmart. For the price I will be happy if it lasts a couple years. Season here is all year long and I have a trickle charger to keep it juiced up.

    Thx for the review.
    What battery tender settings would i use on a ytz7s model mighty max? I appreciate it

    • @Calvinm

      A low setting around 1 or 2 amps, would be good.

    I am wondering how is that possible that so many people have their batteries destroyed in a matter of 2-3 years. My Yuasa, which I inherited from the previous owner of the bike has like 6+ years on the clock and is still running great lol. Just do not let it drain, check your charging system and ride the bike regularily and it will last for years.

    • @Calvinm
      @Calvinm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya I think the drain over winter does most motorcycle batteries in when try aren’t taken care of.

      Do you think batteries for smaller bikes, like a cb300, have shortened lifespans? Ive had a Yuasa for 7 months and it just died on me. Granted, i use the bike about 4/7 days of every week for work commutes and casual trips

      Few years I would rather buy a new battery than gamble on having to get my motorcycle towed when it goes bad.

    2 years from a battery? i typically get 5 to 7 years. i do put all mine on trickle charge every few months in the winter while not in use.

      2 years is normal without trickle charging for lead batteries

    It's just the initial charge is why it read higher when you 1st checked it.. Its not a special battery.

    Hey brother I need your help. I have a new battery for my FZ & everything but I’m having an issue where it’ll last for a couple hours or days but it’ll randomly not work. It’ll eventually act like it’s completely dead but I know there’s juice left in it. What can it be?

    • @h4xi0rek
      @h4xi0rek ปีที่แล้ว

      Look for shorted wires.

    • @alanwignall3016
      @alanwignall3016 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be alternator. Maybe keep it on a trickle charger just to be sure.
