From one hopeless romantic to another I understand your feelings. I love this song and heard it many times but seeing your reaction brought me to tears. There is hope. I can tell you from personal experience and the most important things are love and forgiveness. Because when you love someone they have the ability to hurt you deeply. I think this song touches our heart because it was written from their hearts. For me Barry has always been an inspiration. He has the longest marriage of the three, though both Mo and Robin also had long marriages, he’s been married for 52 years and has always been known as a very doting. Loving and faithful husband. ❤❤❤
Agree with both you ladies.I often feel the lyrics from such songs are coming from the hearts of Barry & Mo, as Robin never seemed to find true love & happiness again after Molly. Once you've found true love & then you're hurt, it's really really hard to forgive. I'm still working on it after my husband tragically took his life when our 4 sons were younger. It was so unexpected & as everyone's always said, he was the last person on earth you'd expect to do such a thing to his wife & children. Never will understand it & still not over him, which is why I haven't been able to move on. Maybe one of these years but I'm in no hurry.😥

We've seen each other through monstrous health scares but remain committed. You have to be there for the mucky stuff, when neither of you are at your best. When I stopped looking I found love. About a month beforehand, I wrote a detailed list of everything I now wanted and expected and prayed on it. Then put it away. Found it years later and I was pretty damn close.

I am not sure 'perfect' love exists there is certainly a knowledge that this man before you is the man God intends for you. I have found him twice. But it is very hard work and not always a Happy Ending. My first husband died from cancer two months before our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Eight and a half years later I married again. We are now senior citizens - not pensioners yet -next month we will be celebrating 13 years Anniversary. Romance is hard work and perseverance and knowing, whatever, you were meant to be together. All the Best and know you are not always looking when you find love.
