This interview put a smile on my face. Seeing these older actors recount their stories. They still got their wit and memories and talent. Cherish the older ones
Yes! I loved watching 3rd Rock back in the day... I’ve never seen Dexter, but I’d probably watch those episodes just to see Lithgow 🤣 the first time I saw him was playing a villain in a kids Christmas film and Dudley Moore was an elf 🤣 now I gotta go watch a clip of him playing a greedy businessman, “ we’ll call it Christmas Two!” 🤣
THAT was cool. I still have a smile on my face. Born in '65, these 2 wonderful, interesting, talented ( and nice !) true legendary actors were a part of your world. Aren't we lucky. Thank you both 🎉
Loved Lithgow as the villain in "Cliffhanger". Badass!. Loved him. And Bridges in "Tron". Thanks for taking me through "The Grid". ;)P. Can't wait for the next chapter!.
Overlooked? HUH? On what planet? Definitely not on earth. He's one of the most acclaimed actors in history. He's won an Oscar, a SAG Award, multiple Golden Globes. This is an objectively false statement that you've made here.
The fact that a man as kind, smiling and likeable as John Lithgow has managed to portray some of the most villainous, paranoid, universally hated characters is a testament to his talent...
Honestly this was refreshing. Seriously, I felt like I was sitting at a table with two chums who recounted stories with such vigor. While I am not apart of their friendship, I can see why these two are friends.
You’re…60 ish? I’m guessing because you would have been 20 in the 80s since those are your touchstones (I’m 43 and know those films but I didn’t watch them until I was older)
My first sight of John Lithgow was in "Die Hard" and of Jeff Bridges was in "Tron" - the original Tron, and whenever I see either of them these are the 2 movies that spring to mind.
The "How is Brad Pitt related to John Lithgow?" question is a reference to a Family Guy joke where Stewie tells Brian that doesn't that sound like something that could be true?
My earliest memories of these two fine actors were John in The World according to Garp and Jeff in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Both very memorable roles.😁Play On Gentlemen!
Lithgow is amazing in 20,000 feet truly amazing taking us on his journey - he plays terrified superbly and then in Cliff hanger the coldest, which was apt being in the snow filled mountains! His comedic timing was amazing in 3rd Rock - I am a secret Lithgow fan 👍
Love John ,he's a true gentleman and acting icon! Jeff is genuine ,real and such a legend as well! He rocked my world as "Rooster Cogburn" and also in "R.I.P.D"- my favorite Old West character Dude!
This friendship is the American equivalent of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart and I love it.
Yeah 👍
Yessir!
If they ever did a grumpy old men remake, these two would be perfect.
Wouldn't even have to be a remake... just call it More Grumpy Old Men, lol.
Absolutely @@george8873
This is definitely one of the top 5 wired autocomplete interviews of them all.
Maybe top 3

John Lithgow is a living legend
Jeff is there also next to him...
John Lithgow is 78 years old. He looks and sounds incredible.
No kidding, 78? Wow! He’s so lively, I wouldn’t have guessed that high.
Compare him to Harrison Ford...
@@comebackguy8892 Harrison has always been grumpy even young :D
We're gonna miss this generation of actors when they're gone.
Yeah, so true.
Jeff is still the dude and I love him.
"Mr Treehorn treats objects like women, man."
it made me laugh how he described Lebowski Fest as a 'sea of dudes'
2 absolute legends!! I keep getting surprised that John isn’t British, because his portrayal of Winston Churchill in the Crown was exceptional!
Same, after Crown I really thought he was British for a while)))
He went to RADA
2:39 his acting playing trinity killer in dexter was amazing
Jeff Bridges just making old man noises the whole time. 😂😂
When Jeff says man at the end of a sentence, it just warms my heart.
He will always be the dude ❤️
Jeff Bridges doesn't play The Dude.
The Dude plays Jeff Bridges.

John lithgow most amazing versatile actor ever scared the crap out of me in Dexter and laughed hard in 3rd rock !
Have you seen his twilight zone episode?
Yes! I loved watching 3rd Rock back in the day... I’ve never seen Dexter, but I’d probably watch those episodes just to see Lithgow 🤣 the first time I saw him was playing a villain in a kids Christmas film and Dudley Moore was an elf 🤣 now I gotta go watch a clip of him playing a greedy businessman, “ we’ll call it Christmas Two!” 🤣
Imagine having granddads of these two. Dudepa and GrandpaJohn ❤
Jeff Bridges is the most chill man on the planet. He really is the dude.
He was so good on Dexter. One of best seasons of anything.
Happy the Dude’s still alive!
Donny isn’t 😔
The Dude abides
I take comfort in that.
Love our Lebowski.❤❤❤
Why wouldn't he?
Happy to see they're both alive.
RIP James Earl Jones
I love these dudes! A couple legends just having a good time.
Why legends because they read lines in front of a camera?
Both John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges are national treasures 😂
THAT was cool.
I still have a smile on my face.
Born in '65, these 2 wonderful, interesting, talented ( and nice !) true legendary actors were a part of your world.

Thank you both 🎉
Bridges is 74 .. seems older. Loved "the dude 😎" and Lithgow is a great actor
These two are delightful. Also, why do I feel like this is what Rhett & Link will look like in 30 years?
ahaha yeah but Link is definitely not losing that much of his hair, his dad’s curls are majestic still.
@@goldiewatches True! Link's dad has great hair. Honestly I think it's funny Rhett has such majestic hair but his dad is bald. 🤣
Always great to see the older end of Hollywood reflect, excite, and show their energy for acting and the arts ❤❤
Oh, what a duet!!! Most versatile actors 👏👏👏👏
They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Love this interview ❤
The Dude is a great exemple of perfect casting. 🥰 Jeff will "abide" with it forever.
John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges are NICE, period!
These two men are so entertaining and engaging. I want to watch them EVERY WEEK!!!!
This was so sweet and chill, I appreciate it
So true. I could listen to them all day.
Love Jeff bridges. True grit is still one of my favorites.
His best role, in my opinion.👍
Loved Lithgow as the villain in "Cliffhanger". Badass!. Loved him. And Bridges in "Tron". Thanks for taking me through "The Grid". ;)P. Can't wait for the next chapter!.
That was the first time I saw him as a villain. Scary!
Thank you Jeff for bringing back that amazing camera. I cannot WAIT for that to come out.
These two remind me of the old grumpy Muppets bickering in the corner of the theater and I love it
This is how I found out there's another season of The Old Man coming up, which is great. These men are treasures.
I’ve loved John Lithgow since The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai!
Hat off to both amazing actors
Just watched this lounging an a chilly Sunday afternoon with a cup of hot coffee. Excellent.
How sweet, gentle and lovely are these two? Living legends.
The vibes of this interview made me so happy ❤
I was having a really bad day and then I watched this! Thank you Thank you so much. xx
Jeff bridges is a mouth breather.
John lithgow is one of the best actors ever 😂
And what is so funny about that?
Seeing 2 legends sitting down in one room is one of the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Absolutely a pleasure and a treat! Two legends.
Two great and iconic actors
What a joy to see two of my favorite actors in their natural habitat non-scripted. 😊❤❤❤
They’re such amazing actors, it’s impossible to really know if they’re the greatest of friends, or not.
I hope they live a long life. I wanna see them in movies for a long time.
So much talent in one place.
Thunderbolt & Lightfoot still one of my favorites
Such a weird film but so fun and sad at the end.
Fun, funny, real and interesting actors, performers. The best of a generation and beyond. Thank You
Two of the greatest actors ever. Great to see this!
Jeff Bridges is overlooked and when we lose him, people will all look back and realize that
We're not losing him. The Dude will be immortal.

This truly made my soul smile
Jeff Bridges- Starman
John Lithgow- Cliffhanger
Those are the roles i immediately think of when seeing these 2 wonderful actors.
Jeff Bridges - Tron/Fisher King
John Lithgow - Dexter
Those are my kinda immediate reactions.

Lucky enough to meet John Lithgow a few days ago - an absolute sweetheart! Love him!!!

A very large thank you to the casting directors of The Old Man.
I just rewatched the first season to refresh my memory of the show before watching Season 2. Great show.
This has been the best episode, yet. The Old Man is a great show, also.
Favorite Bridges role Starman. Lithgow Raising Cain. Robin Williams with Lithgow in A World According To Garp is a movie gem!!!!
My first sight of John Lithgow was in "Die Hard" and of Jeff Bridges was in "Tron" - the original Tron, and whenever I see either of them these are the 2 movies that spring to mind.
I think you mean Cliffhanger instead of Die Hard?
Absolute legends
John Lithgow is a tremendous actor. Most movies he’s a nice, lovable guy, but in Cliffhanger….dude was an exceptional villain.
I've always liked both of these extraordinary gentlemen. This was a fun episode.
John Lithgow is the best.
