Everyone can produce and have an imaginary sound of music in their mind... Prince, perform the music in his head, on each individual instrument, as a manifestation of what is in his head.

@@GeraldCity While I understand what you’re saying I’m not able to fully agree with your contention that 'anybody' can produce and have musical ideas.
I’ve met people who I know were in genuine awe of people who didn’t play an instrument or write music but were able to convey music ideas to instrumentalists. With the latter listening to them hum and carefully pick out the notation until the person who thought of it agreed it matched their idea.
Just as there are movies and visual art done by someone other than the person who envisions them, there are also people who are incapable of thinking either musically, visually or even both.
Though it seems unimaginable, I’ve definitely met such people while working in both music and visual art.

That, along with the great producers and engineers who help to make Micheal Jackson's music come to life clearly explain why his music sounds so unique and why NO ONE could copy him. Michael was and still is, in some cases as per his will...
    Great Entertainer...
    Great Singer...
    Great Dancer...
    Great Businessman...
Michael was a civil rights activist...
    Great Philanthropist...
Michael did as many concerts as he did children hospitals in every country he went too...
Michael and his crew would take gifts to the children and also make time for them...
As per his will these hospitals are still receiving donations till this day
While he was touring there were buses coming in to Neverland Amusement Park for underprivileged children and children with terminal illnesses...
In his Home Theater he had hospital rooms built inside the walls for children who were bedridden and for the ones who were on chemo so that they can enjoy the theater...
As I text this it melts my heart bc the media knew about this but kept it quiet because it was good news and Michael was always a perfect gentleman he never talked about this no one knew he did this great Humanitarian work...
When he did the Victory Tour bc the Matriarch (Katherine his mom) asked him to help the brother's he did even though he was tired after The Thriller experience, Michael than donated the proceeds of the Victory Concert to Charities...
After this every Concerts that Michael had The Proceeds would always go to Charities NO other ARTISTS have been ABLE to do THAT...
MICHAEL was A BEAST when it came to BUSINESS and his REHEARSALS also MICHAEL ALWAYS was on TOP of EVERYTHING, EVERYONE had to have his APPROVAL...
We don't understand why these generations do not understand that Michael stands on a level of his own they keep on comparing him to other Artists they don't have to, bc none of them will ever reach his level not for many decades or even a century... Michael surpassed Beatles and Elvis and they were up there for a lot of decades until Michael came along...
Michael was never forgotten by the UK and America for a Black man to surpassed their Idols...
We need all of Michael's fans to start defending our Michael bc the haters are getting in bad mouthing him... Like we said no Artists not in this decade or any other decades or for a century will Surpassed Our Michael...
Another thing you cannot look up for information about Michael in the US bc they will not have the truth Abt him
You see our country is run by the Elites and the Music Industry and they are very BIAS...
In Michael's words"They even alter our history books" and believe us there is nothing said about Michael in our history books
THEY would've never let a Black man be a Multi-Billionaire in our country...
POWER MICHAEL HAD POWER THEY WERE AFRAID OF HIM...
Michael bought the ATV CATALOG in 1985/86 which contained the Beatles Catalog and other popular songs...
Michael already owned half of Sony in 1985/86 that's why it was called Sony/Atv...
Tommy Matolla was the President of Sony's Publishing Division...
There's a recording of Matolla saying "Michael is worth more in death than alive"...
The real reason for the TII CONCERT was bc Michael was nearing the end of his contract Matolla didn't want him leaving with half of the house publishing...
Michael walk out of Sony owning half of Sony and becoming a free agent...
Unfortunately that would never happen bc it is said that Mattola hired Conrad to deleted Michael he also had Aeg take over TII Concert...
MICHAEL,PRINCE, GEORGE MICHAEL and many more expose the INDUSTRY...
Michael's death was very well planned bc he was being taken care of by Conrad Murray injecting him with Propofal Michael would have never taken propofol bc of his children because of his loved for life and because his goal was to take over the industry to HEAL THE WORLD...
What Michael didn't know is that Conrad was hired by Matolla and AEG...
The industry and AEG started the false allegations and all the fabricated conspiracies...
Now when Michael was at 02 Arena he started seeing that his people were missing and that's when he found out that for the first time he was not in charge no more...
Michael took his dancers to Neverland's studios to finish rehearsals...
    And the rest
IS VERY SAD BUT IS HISTORY...
To understand this comment you must have knowledge about Music Publishing...
These people should have still been with us...
Michael, Prince, George Michael and many others they exposed the Industry (they're very powerful in the world)...
And now Sony went incognito under RIAA only in our Country...
    Not in any other country...
We told you Michael that while we're here we will always advocate for you

When Michael passed away in 2009, I was living briefly in Indianapolis and chose that moment to take stock in the fact that he and all eight of his brothers and sisters were, in fact, Hoosiers. That summer, I purchased a copy of *Dangerous* and wrote in my Amazon review of the album that Michael was as much of a musical genius as it was possible to be without playing an instrument like Eric Clapton, Billy Joel or any of their contemporaries. I don’t know did Michael write incredible songs like “Billie Jean” “Don’t Stop ‘til You Get Enough” and “Beat It”; almost the entirety of his vocal accompaniments were arranged and performed by Michael, himself.

As a singer and dancer he was a genius, as a songwriter he had great ideas, but he never really played any instruments (he definitely used his voice as a musical tool to simulate sounds and instruments). That's the reason why he always relied on his brothers, than Barnes, Bottrell & Buxer ... to build his demos.

I am going to say this, a lot of people talk about how Michael Jackson never played instruments. That is not necessarily true. He played piano a little bit a few times on tracks, especially for certain songs. He knew how to play piano, but no one ever talks about that. He didn't really play guitar, he knew chords and he new sounds. He could not necessarily play guitar, but he could be able to point out what notes and what chords they needed, plus there were a few songs that he played a small amount of guitar, but it was mostly rhythm. He wasn't Big on doing instruments, but he knew how to play certain things. Yes he could also mimic, beatbox and arrange everything from his head, but he was natural at that. I just don't like when they say that he's never played an instrument, when he's been noted to play instruments at certain times. Yes, he was more of a performer, yes he was more of a singer, but that doesn't mean that he still had a musician's gift.

If Michael were able to play piano /keyboards, he would have used keyboards, synthesizers and workstations to convey his musical ideas. Instead, he sang everything onto tape and multitracked his voice because he couldn't play well enought to do it on an instrument. That's still a great achievement and I consider him to be a composer in the sense that he could create and author his songs.

You haven't seen MJ then. He's capable of producing a wide range of sounds solely with his voice.

    And, his beatbox is incredible.

That's right, the first instrument you ever hear is your own voice, whether it's talking or singing.
He would use his voice to replicate an instrument such as the strings, bass, even the percussion to get the perfect orchestration before recording with real instruments.
Bobby McFerrin was a genius at this at this well to the point that he made several albums with just his voice as the instruments.

So true….. even though I can play music on several different instruments, I am NOT a Musician…. I am “musically inclined”….
As a child I dropped out of music when my Band Teacher called my Mom to tell her I wasn’t reading music in class…. I would struggle to memorize each piece, then play through without looking at my music(trombone, both clefs)… if that guy and my Mom had tried a different method of scolding me, I MIGHT have become a real Musician.
(I’m a guitarist, turned to the Dark Side, I bought synths😂)

If he was alive after 2009 or if he was playing basic instruments proficiency enough in his rise to fame, Michael would have learned new instruments such as the ukulele, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, accordion, harmonica, bagpipes and every single instrument and its auxiliary members in the band and orchestra etc while continuing to play guitar, piano, keyboards, synthesizers, bass guitar, drums, percussion etc.

Michael knew all his songs keys tempos and sounds off the top of his head. The ability to see the song in his mind play out whilst unable to play an instrument is such a gift not a lot of people can do. There’s quite a few producers in a similar situation like benny blanco that can’t play but know music.
