    I actually realized my hair needs a lot more protein that I thought and that was a main cause of my breakage.

    Thanks dear, love it. So you pretty much use Natural based store bought products and still retain length plus daughters! So happy for you all.
    I need to stay mostly (apart from GROGANICS Shampoo/Conditioner etc) (hair-issues) and currently on low economy. I have Diy solutions for almost everything cept hydrolysed protein. Any natural/diy low economy not-USA-based- suggestions please? (Since egg-proteins sot On hair shaft and don’t penetrate like hydrolysed proteins do.
    (Ayurvedic has given my transitioning hair strength so it no longer breaks (natural growth probably but I don’t think I have that “elasticity/bounce!!!” you so effectively demonstrated!!! ❤️

    Hi
    Thanks so much for enlightening us on protein moisture balance.
    Pls I'd like to know, is gelatin good enough for protein treatment?
    I'd be waiting for your response, thanks.

    • @DiscoveringNatural
      @DiscoveringNatural  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I have never used gelatin before. It does contain Hydrolyzed Protein which is also a common ingredient of commonly used protein treatments like Aphogee. That is why some people use it. Here is more information about gelatin so that you can make the best decision for your hair: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin

    Please advise. I can not determine which overload I have. I have noticed breakage and dry feeling hair. So I thought I need to moisturize. At the same time though, when I do the stretch test, my hair stretches and stretches and does not break. I did the Aphogee 2 minute protein treatment Incase I had over moisturized but my hair is still dry and breaking. My hair got worse after using diluted aloe Vera gel to moisturize.

    You are so informative and hilarious. "there's a ghost in my shower...👀➡👻..."Are you done?" 😂 😂 My protein moisture balance is similar in a couple ways. I have hi-po hair so I must always prepoo & detangle, then either that day or next morning pending my schedule I'll wash my hair in twists, then apply a deep conditioner and twists back up, let sit for an hour or so, then rinse out. Now for styling I may use a protein in my lco to help retain shine which for me is coconut oil with some leave in conditioner mixed with distilled water. Now if I do protein first, I use a coconut *milk* or *cream* base for like an ayurvedic hair mask with some powders (amla, hisbiscus, bamboo, etc) and *then* add more moisture back in like with a blackstrap molasses or honey mask. It sounds like alot and it is but my hair thanks me every time!!! 😍 Great video!!
