Saying that there's 1 mil people in Ottawa is false given that the population is spread out in a 50km radius. Only 300k people live in Centretown/Downtown core. It's emptied after 5PM. Ghost town after 8 PM. If the city was connected to Kanata/Orleans throughout the entire day with an easy transit commute, why not. But separating the downtown core with the suburbs is essential and it's not 1M at all when it comes to Ottawa. Kanata and Barrhaven are very different from Ottawa.
I agree i am currently studying in last semester of police foundations i am thinking to move in suburbs of Toronto City is boring fucked up people are mental here. No indian food and very expensive indian food no variety of indian food . No social life Only shawarma poutine 😅
Shawarma... try at least some local food like the beaver tail.The city is polluted with Shawarma places. I wish it had more variety rather than 50 shawarma junk-food stations.

I don't define the city boundaries. Just quoting what the defined city population is based on current boundaries. We are at 1.1 mil now.
