- Pat’s Peach Cobbler
1/2 stick butter
1 Cup self-rising flour
1 Cup white sugar
1 Cup whole milk
29 ounce can sliced or diced peaches in heavy syrup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray an 8 inch square baking dish with non-stick spray. Melt butter in the baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Whisk in the milk.
Spoon the mixture into the baking dish. Top with peaches and ALL of the syrup from the peaches.
Bake 50-60 minutes or until peaches are bubbly and the crust is lightly browned. DO NOT bake more than 60 minutes, and it probably won’t take that long. It’s easy to over bake.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
NOTE: If you want more cobbler, double the entire recipe and bake in a 9x13- inch baking dish.

THANK YOU TERRY, FOR SHARING THIS RECIPE WITH MELISSA WHO.IS SHARING IT WITH US.
TOM AND MELISSA I JUST LOVE YOU BOTH
I like a little cinnamon or nutmeg sprinkled over peaches before baking. Nummy Nummy.
Me too. Lots of cinnamon & extra sugar.
This is very similar recipe that my grandmother passed down. 1stick of butter, 1 cup each sugar, flour, and milk. Some of us add a tsp of vanilla. Sooooooo yummy!!
do you use ap flour or self rising?
By the time the video was finished I already had my cobbler in the oven. So fast and east. Thanks a bunch.
You’re welcome! It’s great one!
It even tastes good with a little bit of cinnamon and fresh grated nutmeg
I bet those are wonderful additions! Sounds good.
I've made this recipe for too many years to count with the addition of cinnamon sprinkled on top. It is wonderful!
@@comesitatmytable9044
Ive got some fresh peaches that are ripe and juicy that I'm going to make a cobbler tonight! If you want to bump up the flavor of the batter, use buttermilk instead of whole milk. Makes the cobbler so much better!!!!
I'll try that!
I got this recipe from my Grandmother 55 years ago. My whole family uses this recipe We call it Jiffy cobbler. We add a little cinnamon to it.
I was thinking it could use a little cinnamon. Maybe some coarse sugar sprinkled on top so it still glistens when it's done. Perhaps added near the end of baking?
I've seen so many of those dump cakes cobblers, it's nice to see a real recipe
Thank you.
Everyone is not retired and going to Florida at. Seasonal whim and enjoying. Some of us work for a living.
You are living in a spoiled dream. Wake up. We work for a living. Wake up.

What are you talking about? What does your comments have to do with peach cobbler with cinnamon? Stay on topic please.
I've got to quit watching these at bedtime. I will probably dream about eating this cobbler tonight😂
😆 😆 😆
Cathy long I thought I was the only one that did that watch these cooking channels and dream about the food until I find we get up in the middle of the night and get something to eat😢
Tom nothing personal but for our health sake we can’t afford to eat like this 😢

Not all the time anyway. Maybe to have on special occasions, ONLY.
LOL It IS delicious! And so easy! You can use any fruit, but my favorite is Blackberry or Peach.
Classic ky recipe. Other places may fix it this way but everybody I know in Kentucky makes it this way. My mom's made it this way my entire 55 years and she got it from her Mom. My two favorite ways to fix it is peaches or blackberries. Although my mom loves strawberries in it. You just have to remember if you use fresh strawberries to mix them with a little bit of sugar before you put them in. And we always fix ours in a cast iron skillet. Great share.
I bet it's great in a cast iron skillet! Wonderful suggestion. Thanks so much for watching.
My same recipe from eons past, very popular with everyone. I do add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a few tablespoons of brown sugar in with the butter melted like you do. Little cinnamon and dash of nutmeg on the top.
Have you tried it with butter milk or cinnamon and nutmeg yet ❤❤❤❤????

I just made this and my house smells awesome!!! I added a pinch of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. It was divine! I’ve also made the pimento cheese. Yummy. Love your channel. I’m a Southern cook, so I relate to y’all.
I have been using this same recipe for more than 30 years. I add a little vanilla or almond extract to mine. TY
Sounds great!
I add vanilla and sprinkle cimmanon on top too.
@@fandhtwoohs8129 I like cinnamon on most things so it sounds like a nice addition.
I’m a huge fan of Blue Bunny vanilla bean ice cream!
I just love your channel and videos. This looks heavenly, thank you.
Thank you so much! We appreciate your support!

Mercy me , I am slobbering all over myself. Thanks for sharing.🤗
It’s easy to make - we hope you get a chance to make it! Enjoy!
You can dip your scooper in hot water to make dipping easy🤗
Can you add brown sugar to this recipe. Love❤your videos
My favourite recipe. I use my canned peaches.
Peach cobbler for the win. Blueberry is also good.
If you like chocolate, you have to do chocolate cherry cobbler made in a Dutch oven over some hot campfire coals. It’s so tasty. Made the Chester cake mix cobbler at Boy Scout summer camp and other camping trips a lot
Peach cobbler is so good especially with fresh peaches
Since I found you I don't cook anyone else's recipes I love how you have ALL ingredients set out so cool I love it!! I look forward to all your recipes I also like how you and your wife kinda talk back and forth you both are so down to earth love that
My butter stays out on the counter also.
Theresa, ALWAYS! Thanks for joining us!
this is a Delicious Cobbler. You made yours just like my grandmother & I do with the exception of the cinnamon. Try cinnamon next time., My favorite is Blackberry cobbler. You did a good job as always.
I was only going to watch one video. This is now my 3rd one I’m watching. Everything looks so good…and easy. I definitely will try these recipes. Will watch again
I agree with you about the butter. Some restaurants will bring you butter that's hard as a rock and you tear your bread all up just trying to spread the butter on it.
I simply hold the pat/tub of butter in my hands and let my body heat soften it. Works every time!!
I love this peach cobbler. I put my peaches in first & pour the batter in top. The batter comes up & cooks it the same way. I like to use evaporated milk & sprinkle a mix of white & brown sugar on top before baking it. I'm from Texas & we do eat peach cobbler all year.
I also leave the butter on the counter in a butter dish. We do use it pretty quickly. God bless y'all!
I leave my butter on the counter t00. Love peaches. Make this cobbler often.
. We love it. Thank you for sharing. Love your recipes.
I didn't realize they had self rising flour 30 years ago, I love ALL cobblers!
We do, too! This one is easy to adjust to a different fruit if you have something else available.
They had self rising I think before all purpose,do you know what make all purpose self rising your rising agents baking powder and salt so why waste your money why not save a few dollars just buy self rising, this recipe was given to me in the 60's it was called a quick pie cause it's only 3 ingreidients butter milk sugar flour it's good
Tom generally likes to use all-purpose so he can control exactly how much of the rising agents like salt and baking powder is used. No way to control that with all-purpose. Our pantry has both since in some recipes it's not as important as others to control those ingredients.
I didn't realize it was as old as it is either so when I read your comment I went and googled it and it was invented in 1845 by a man named Henry Jones. Cool history
They had self rising flour over 50 ago.
This is my recipe also. Glad yo see you sharing my favorite recipe with everyone. ❤
Peach of any kind is my all time favorite!
Turkey Hill my favorite (with peanut butter. Yummy!❤
You made this just like my Granny's recipe. I know it was delicious.

I just recently found your site here on TH-cam. I’m hooked! Tomorrow is my husband’s 71st birthday and his favorite is meatloaf, I’m using your recipe and I know it will be delicious. Thank you
Looks delicious and a easy recipe thank you, can’t wait to try it.
You just mentioned cracker barrel and their butter being frozen. Cracker barrel only uses margarine. I live in Ct and management confirmed this.
Looks soooo delicious! Don't think I will be waiting until fall to try it😁 Yummy💕. Thank you for sharing a simple recipe for one of my favorite desserts.
I agree 100% about butter
My mom made cobbler the same way. I miss her😢 thanks for sharing
You make it look easy!! 😋

This recipe is now my husband's favorite to make and all our family and friends favorite to receive .lol
He has made two different peach, an apple, rhubarb, pineapple, strawberry, and a blueberry. Not in that order. So easy and delicious. He shares the recipe with everyone and always sends them to your TH-cam channel. Thank you for the inspiration.
I asked for this on the newer video. I didn't see it in your older videos, but here it is! Yay!
I just made this boy its a keeper.
I love your recipes. I am diabetic and I find myself studying your recipes and trying to figure out ways to decrease the sugar content. Truthfully, I know it won't be as tasty so then I find myself saying...well maybe I'll make it and just have a tablespoon of it a day😅
I am so sorry that you are diabetic. My mother is diabetic and it is a horrible disease. We certainly understand that you may need to make adjustments, or perhaps use a sugar substitute in the recipes. We certainly appreciate that you are watching our videos. Thank you for the comment.
Hi,,my husband is diabetic,I use no sugar peaches and 1/2 cup sugar, I did reg, peaches but drained them,,came out very good,,
thats what i say all the time...lol
I am also from Ky and my husband is diabetic. I use the peaches in their own juice and scoupable Splenda in batter also stir some in with the peaches. It works very good for him
This is exactly how I make mine but I use my home canned peaches or fresh.
Home Canned IS the BEST!
Oh lawdy! That would be wonderful!
You do make it look so easy, it looks delicious. I'll have to make some. keep cooking.
I saw Mel Tilles tell Ralph emery on the show Nashville Now many years ago this recipe. I’ve been making and loving it ever since. Just the same ingredients as yours.
That is awesome! I love that story. Thank you for sharing it with us. We agree with you - this cobbler recipe is wonderful! Maybe our friend, Pat, got it from the show, too!
This is the best food channel on Utube! You prepare all the foods my husband and I love to eat! We really should get together sometime….. either your table or ours. 🥰. Thank you both for all the great content. Keep up the great work of sharing your best dishes!
Oh,my,this is the first cobbler my mother in law taught me 61 years ago. My WHOLE family has ALWAYS loved it. THANKS.
I could & have ate a whole peach cobbler, home made,w canned sweet peaches, in one day. So good.
When I have made peach cobbler I’ve put 1 tsp of almond abstract. It’s real good in it.
Wow the cobbler is perfect!!!
My family likes peach cobbler with pecan ice cream!
You have to have ice cream with cobbler. It might be against the law not to! 😊
Looks so good making me hungry
Thanks for the great recipes!
Thank you for easy recipes
Have only seen 3 of your videos and I absolutely love you guys. Superb recipes! Thanks
I can say this is delicious, I got the same recipe believe in 1980 there about. Except my was for a 9× 13 baking dish. I make it threw out the year. My food for thought any good recipe has no Particular season to make it. If I have a taste for it than that's my season😂😅😊
That looks terrific!
Love love your videos!!
I enjoy watching your videos, Tom. I like how you explain everything in detail. Thank you for making great food and showing all of us how to do it, too.

Looks so good!
This looks super easy, gonna try this for sure. I love peaches in my cottage cheese❤
So easy will make it
When I was in high school back in the 70's...Um let me rephrase that, the "19"70's. (only because this recipe could be kind of old, haha) My mom had a small cookbook with a recipe similar to this. I loved baking so I used to make it. After my mom passed away, I thought I actually got that paperback cookbook since no other family member wanted it. But with moving and life as it is, I don't know what happened to it. This recipe brings back a lot of memories for me ...Thank you so much.
Love peach cobbler !!
Thank you love anything with peaches😋💚💛Blessings
I just made this recipe its dessert for tomorrow night can't wait to try it! The hubby is going to be happy!
Looks delicious. Enjoy your cobbler, ice cream, and the comfy pj's 😂❤❤
Yum fixing this tonight thank you for sharing 😊
That looks sinful! Love it! God bless you (and Pat) for sharing this recipe.
It is quite delicious. And it's so easy. That's another reason we enjoy it so much.
I'm loving this recipe.👍😋.I did use frozen peaches. It still turned our great. I did add a sprinkle of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla, because I couldn't help myself.😊😁. God Bless. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita,Ace and family. ✌🕯💕🤗🙏🦋🌻🙂👋👣.
Oh, so yummy looking, I'm going to try this recipe,
Interesting version of peach cobbler. I use grandmas recipe using lattice pie crust top and spices. This one looks to be much easier
We can NEVER beat anything made by a grandma, but we do think this cobbler is very simple and when life gets a little chaotic, we appreciate a simple recipe! Thank you so much for watching. We do appreciate it.
@@comesitatmytable9044 I am enjoying your channel. I am going to try this tomorrow!
You are my new favorite chef!!!
I have my ingredient arsenal assembled and tomorrow while it's another lake effect snowstorm day, I will be making this. Can't wait!! Don't have ice cream, but I have heavy whipping cream that I can whip up for a topper. Thanks for sharing.
I just made this, doubled the recipe. I used what I had on hand... 1 cup golden sugar, 1 cup light brown sugar, 2 cups 2% milk, 2 cups Martha Stewart self rising flour, 2 cans sliced peaches, 1 can diced peaches, and one can peach pie filling. In the oven now!!
Thanks for the recipe of peach cobbler
I cut this recipe in half and baked it in two small ramekins for dessert for two. 😅 I used a 14 oz can of peaches, soy milk, and vegan butter. Top with vegan nice cream. So good and so easy! Love your recipes. Bon appetit!
Looks wonderful. I love peach cobbler. Only change I will make is to sprinkle cinnamon on top before baking because my mom always put cinnamon in hers. 😊
The cinnamon would be nice, too! We are so happy to have you watching our channel. We appreciate it.
I too have had this recipe for years-I have found that for the milk use half whole milk and half evaporated milk makes it much better!! Love your recipes!!
I can almost smell all that deliciousness. Wow!
I just made this cobbler & didn't want to give up the recipe but I did. I was enjoying the glory but gave credit where credit was due lol. It was an absolute hit! I too love it & consider it my go to recipe. Thank you so much.
I never thought of making cobbler in the fall! Excellent idea. I used a different recipe, but this was the first dessert I ever learned to make. My family always used fresh summer peaches. Canned peaches are so much easier!
I love your videos and your chocolate cake was a hit. made it for my family. They LOVED IT!!!
