Much thanks for your video In 1959 I worked for Chins Radio Service in Kingston I was employed to work in Morant Bay and so twice each month I made the journey from Morant Bay to Kingston The road in those days was single lane and terrible It is absolutely Amazing to see the new Motorway. I am so glad that we had people with vision to have started building highways in Jamaica. There were so many oppositions when the Highways 2000 project was started but the visionaries kept going and today we have Jamaica almost cover with highway. Most of the opposing people now joined hand and move to complete other sections.
My only regret is that the original plan of a 4 lane highway straight to Port Antonio was changed to only an improvement of the present 2 lanes from Yallas to Port Antonio in addition to the 4 lanes as presented on this excellent video. It would be much better if the highway did not go through the towns such as Yallas and Morant Bay and the others.

This is going to be a very nice highway when completed. When you show the before video, one can see that CHEC has made some incredible changes to this route. Bro, how long would this drive have taken you before these amazing changes to this route took place?
