I have two mesh in an inguinal hernia area though sadly both operations failed. If I scratch the skin above the mesh it seems less sensitive than the other side of my groin which may explain the reason for no pain. The surgeon and I agreed to leave the area alone and not remove the mesh. When I’m emptying my bowl I press the hernia and mesh inward which helps me empty. I’m leaving well alone. Before I occasionally use a truss, I push the hernia down and under the scrotum to flatten the area which works in my situation. 😊
@ Thank you for your reply. I was really quite well behaved after the operations and we will never really quite know why both operations failed other than I believe logically the pressure from pushing to go to the toilet starting after the operations and ongoing has caused the fail twice so for me the procedure may never work. Happy new year Hayden x.
I had a Spigelian hernia and mesh was used to repair it about two years ago. It has caused a lot of adhesions which I had removed several times. I am thinking about having the mesh removed which they said would likely help or resolve the adhesion problems completely. Is this something you have done? I am thinking about going to someone experienced.
Doesn’t sound like sound advice. Mesh doesn’t cause adhesions after adhesions have already been taken down the first time. Please contact my office directly to see how I can help. Info@beverlyhillsherniacenter.com
I had extensive adhesions right above the area where the Spigellian mesh was placed a couple years ago. This was my 4th adhesion surgery since the mesh was replaced. This is absolutely ridiculous as the tightness is starting to come back again after about 5 weeks. The surgeon used Seprafilm which should work. I will likely contact your office. @@herniadoc

Sounds like a good option. Focus on figuring out why the hernias recurred so that they can be addressed

I had Hernia mesh surgery in June 2022. I notice that the cold weather change now is causing nerve pain . I hear that this is normal.
Actual true nerve pain is not brought on with cold weather.
