Thank you for your feedback! I have been looking along this road in the research for this video, but I could not confirm the location 100%. So it is probably along this railway embankment and I have shown that in my animation (see 9:15), but your exact location is not visible via Google streetview.
Estimations of 500 stormtroopers on board incorrect. Huge amount of the helicopters engaged in the operation were MI24 and K52, providing support and not carrying stormtroopers. Seen from below and far can easily mistake the MI24 with those carrying the stormtroopers. As stated by MoD itself - 45th special operation brigade VDV were storming the Antonov airport and dropped by the helicopters. 31st brigade came almost two days later as main forces.
I can only imagine if the ukrainians had a single self-propelled anti-aircraft gun in Vyshhorod instead of manpads during the Russian helicopter pass, for example a zu-23
Wow the best video so far I have seen from the ukrainian war. So intresting with all facts what really happend in the beginning 24 Febuary and how this conflict started.
Hi, regarding the video of the helicopters flying over the railway line at 7:58. I think the video might have been recorded at 50.582839, 30.264250.

I went to your channel but you have apparently not published the video yet. In any case keep me informed about your project!
@@ArmiesAndBattles The coordinates are most likely correct. The distinct orange building seen at 8:31 is visible on Google Maps.
Thanks so much for this excellent overview and analysis of the battle at Hostomel airport. I look forward to the next instalment.
Glad you enjoyed it! I am currently working on a video about the Ukrainian territorial forces.
Some of that footage could be straight outta Hollywood, i get why they took the time to film that

Location at 8:31 is at 50.582906, 30.264344 you can see the orange house from satelite image
Excellent operation.

Some of the helis were KA-52's so a single zu-23 would have been taken out, though it certainly would have shot down at least a few helis.
One Tunguska spaag would had a good meal
Lekker bezig Ruud!
Dank je, Bas!

@@ArmiesAndBattles thanks I will do
Proud moment for the hero's of Ukraine.
the guy at the end where you say they are retreating is a journalist... so highly doubt he would be the last man out...
that was the decisive battle for kiev
Let's see if any Russian Trolls have anything say about this.
11:12 "You can see they are very cautious.." *Russian runs into fellow soldiers line of fire*
You think that doesnt happen ever ?
