Randal wouldn't have been hurt at all if not for the cicada hallucination. He could've just thrown the talisman to Boyd and Boyd could've closed the doors of the ambulance and they would've been safe. and Randal could've ran back to any house. Or even walked there. since the monsters don't run behind their prey.

The place reminds me of how ancient pocket dimensions where described a la "Fairyland" - the creatures here are bound by rules; no human has ever entered Fairyland on their own volition and no human can escape without being allowed to leave or beating a fairy game. Often times those who escape do so with partial amnesia and time is distorted, if they where in there for a month in the real world 50 years passed. The creatures there enjoy playing games with people and by games I mean essentially everything from simple pranks to mind 🍇. Ancient trickster beings did similar things, and I feel they all allude to the same entity. In modern times UFO abductions fit the same bill.
5:13 considering how dumb the town people I don't find it hard to believe at all that they'll turn on him quick asf they'll 4get he's the one who kept them Alive all these years he's the one who found the talismans and the all the animals they 4get they was living like roaches be4 he got there
this episodes shows creatures are not just animals with instict, they have higher thought - than I started thinking, if that is so, why not set fire to all the houses, and than all people whould have to run out. I think playing with food is what brings them joy or sustanance, and if they really wished, they could end the whole town in one single night - but they savior it, enjoying one hunt per time, like not just watching it, but being part of it. This is truly how I envision hell would be, just suffering and fear, no hope, and always something worse waiting for tomorrow
or in other words: Plot armor. Otherwise the show would be over. The monsters can't go on for months without killing, otherwise they'd drag people out or break the rules. It's not fun when the people play by the rules and the monsters realize they are now playing the waiting game. This whole show is just stupid and lacks intelligence. I have watched every episode and up until Season 2 my overall rating was a 7/10. The new season now show rates at 6/10. It drags, there is nothing smart about it. It's just dialogue and mysteries and "omg i had the same vision when I was a child" "omg I had that dream years ago". means NOTHING.
they can also lay traps that would keep people in one place until dark, or that would end people there and then. The thing is, only explanation is savouring and playing with hunt, pure evil
It could also mean that Fatima is turning into a monster and maybe that’s how the monsters, who were once human, turned into monsters. The town gave them a taste for flesh and made them monsters
Several of the season 1 monsters haven't come back. I'm guessing because of reduced budget. But I wonder if they'll ever explain it in universe? i.e., maybe those monsters were busy somewhere else doing something away from town.
I noticed that too. Like the boy monster from episode 1 (or maybe episode 2) that knew Julie's name, I'm surprised he didnt come back to taunt Julie more.
It's an out there take for sure. But I'm starting to believe Boyd himself is somehow directly tied to the entity. Either he's the fallen angel (Lucifer, with a minor possibility of his name etymology Boyd 'fair, yellow' reflecting that; also there might be a nod to his position as 'light bearer' in Boyd carrying a torch; plus 'day star' or 'son of the morning' could showcase his power of protecting the Fromville denizens in the daytime while he's weakened enough at night for the monsters to roam free and wreak havoc) to the entity's God or he's a sliver of the entity itself that got too close to humans and was craving first-hand experience of how it felt to be human, thereby losing itself/himself over time. He's suspiciously adept at rustling up just the things that are needed: the goat, the talismans, the worms. His daughter-in-law is either carrying a demon/monster child or turning into a Smiley replacement herself. Maybe their intention of breaking him refers to his self-inflicted delusion of humanity; they want to shatter his false beliefs and bring him back into the fold.
I think that the entity is so invested in breaking people because that is how they become monsters. It wants certain people to turn because this will have a bigger impact on their community when they see their leaders each night with the other monsters and cause the community to lose hope as well
Agreed. Once they lose all hope, the entity has them and can turn them. Kinda like a vampire entity sucking all the hope from people instead of blood. Throws them false hope though - like Tabitha getting out for all of a day.
@gizbot9366 yep. My theory is that Fatima has lost all hope and is now turning into one of them. Before she fully turns though, she will help them figure out how to kill the monsters.
I feel like whatever is there pretty much engineers everything almost as a set up. Like it's messing with everyone and nothing is really by accident or of their own free will. I don't know why. I guess we'll see. I hope this show continues for a while. I enjoy it. Thanks for the video.
4:43 I don’t they knew she was coming back days in advance but I think they can sense when a new set of people arrive either that or the crows alerted them and since it was already close to dark they set the trap if they arrived in the morning I don’t think the monsters would have broke routine
But they had to know because why would the monster pretend to be hurt in that way? I’m thinking because they knew EMT would try and help what appeared to be a wounded woman in the road
@@caroldouglas3923 that’s what I’m saying I don’t think they knew when she escaped that she’ll be back but they was alerted to their arrival when they got back
I can pick apart most of everything that you said. But I won't because my homegirl and I are trying to see who can figure it out first, and I've hit the jackpot at least 10+ times. I think that there is someone within the towns people that is a part of this what's going on. I think they (the creatures) allowed Randell to live just so he can be turned, allowing him to hunt during the day as well. I also think that Tabatha is Victor sister. Or related in some sort of way. I feel like Victors sister did make it out but can't remember because of a head injury. I think that Mariel will be Randells first victim but he won't find Kristi. Ending with Kristi and Kenny being together. Jade, I feel, is going to play a major part in solving the mystery along with Victor, Henry and Elgin. I feel like Boyd isn't going to make it to the ending but plays a major roll in the distraction in getting everyone else home. I want to say more but prying eyes might be watching 😂😅
@@gaeouhgaeae I have to agree. Though the last part about Boyd would make for an iconic ending to the show. Also Tabitha is too young to be Victor's sister and is Hispanic her own mom is alive and well. Victor is 56yo ...but M3ntally about 10.
When you say Boyd abandoned Randall, the way I look at it is he betrayed him. I think with all the motifs we have seen since season one its clear we are looking at the story of the sun and solar cycle. Season three has been the fall into the winter solstice, Scorpio is the kiss of death and betrayer of the sun. Randall is also personifying Hydra, the wounded beast.
ngl this makes so much sense and i love it i also think that the town doesnt only fear boyd but his ability to make people unite even when they are completely broken like kenny / jade should be completely broken by now and depressed yet we see they still are trying and thats mostly because of boyd victors father that hope is what kept people together and boyd is that hope
We also don't know if something happend to Dale before he ended up in the wall and after he entered the tree. Could something have happened before that. And then he ended up in the pool. Or was it straight from the tree directly to the pool. I don't know.
Had a thought i think everything that is happening whoever is controlling this game once they heard Boyd rebel against them by saying "you can't break me" and now we see how the monsters are more terrifying not towards boyd but the people he cares for which i believe this season something might happen to his son due to Fatiama they will make boyd break that's all whoever is over seeing this wants everyone is just apart of this game other than a few other characters i thin this season will end with a broken boyd and maybe we will see that Boyd's actions are the cause of the snow and no food and people dying it will all fall back on boyd because everyone trusts him to lead but he cannot save everyone cause he has no power to do so
Nothing high brow about Boyd leaving Randall behind. He had to make that choice. Save one person or three people? What would a soldier do? Easy choice. Plus Randall is expendable. Not Tabatha who’s just come back after leaving this trap.
IMO the monsters are for sure "hive mind". Boyd can talk to any one of them and they know the same things about him. Also in the most recent episode with Victor and his dad in the cave, seems like they know where people are at all times and decide who and when to take them out. They leave Victor alone most likely because he has never made any attempt to escape or change the way things are in that place. Could also be a ploy by the "entity" for new people who arrive at this town that meet Victor, giving them false hope that they can survive if he has survived decades.
There's something to the hope thing constantly brought up. The cycle of hope and despair. It builds them up for a fall like a sadist. But if the people all passed on before, how does that help the entity? The implication has been that it's happening again but how does that help it?
It all comes down to this: FROM is a science fiction tv show masquerading as a horror tv show (more accurately, it is a sci-fi horror show). Get ready FROMily for answers coming from quantum physics, general relativity, cosmology, theories of consciousness, higher dimensions, etc. I believe The Entity will eventually be revealed to be human.
@@jameswest9469it’s still science fiction because nobody knows how they got there and has no idea how to get out 😂😂😂 one more thing. How do the houses have electricity with wires hanging in the basement 😂😂. A tree portal is not normal physics 😂
I got to ask, how was the zombie old lady able to pick up the talisman? If it effects the enclosed space then doesn't the physical body , the structure itself on which the formula of talisman is inscribed protected? Yes it held the talisman through the string attached but still, Why?
Remember Boyd said to Sara “they use to scream all night before the talisman now the whisper I always wondered why is that”! I wonder too they scream when Tab argue with Jim like it’s some point of communication.
Monsters trying to break Boyd rather than kill him is like a drawn out version of a Bond Villain waxing poetic instead of just killing 007. I love the show though. I also noticed something at the beginning of this video when you showed Smiley dying. Was he crying I think I see some tears? Did his humanity come back to him right before he died?
responses. Problem. Reaction. Solution. Kind of like we are now huh? Getting dragged back ONLY worked when in a vehicle. How could it happen while walking? It'd only happen if you didn't know where you're going in the real world. What would have happened if they were to have walked instead of driving. ALSO, they were only able to return to the ALT Dimension because they had no control of the vehicles- The ambulance was driven by strangers. Tab and Vic's pop had no bearing of direction.
I think this show has had a reduced budget since season 2. The show just looks cheaper, and there's a lot less people than there used to be. Though I guess in story they could say they got killed by the monsters the past couple of years.
Show gets bigger, main actors get better contacts, more screen time & the stories are developed around characters we know. Poor townies! Poor monsters....literally! That's the way of the extras/background talent, & below-the-line actors!
Now I want to know who made those talisman did the entity made it or other people and why was it hidden Did the entity put those talisman there like power ups in a Mario game
How did they know Tabitha was returning to town for the ambush, it does slightly show some type of tethering, even them halting attack when randall had donna detain but was overwhelmed by the walkers, they halted attack. So to me there's a hive mind trait there and perhaps not to all seeing or limited, the walkers either knew Tabitha was returning or they was told somehow, the military troops is a hive mind to the commander and president
I dont think the entity's are scared of Boyd at all othewise why not just kill him when having the chance and destroying everyone elses hopes for good? Instead now with keeping him alive they know that somehow they want Boyd to feel hurt. Idk how this show will go but I just hope it will make sense in the end and dont just ignore questions or keeping more questions.
I think that's why the boy in white isn't "good", just seeming so to be able to do what the entity wants. When Victor buried the items of the town members, I feel this amped up the fears for the town- remember when Sara said her brother was afraid of cicadas? That was well after he died and the ten members buried him(assuming so)
I don't think the entity is capable of benevolence...especially over a long time as with victor - 46 years. I think its a "game" between the two - the boy v the entity, with rules only they know...that both must follow. The boy could also be trapped there as well and made to play this game, as him failing to save the ppl somehow feeds the entity. The end of each cycle determines who wins...but the boy seems to want to end it. The entity is powerful because it has likely won most past rounds as it draws strength from the despair and hopelessness of the residents, and the sorrow of the boy in white when he fails to save them.
I think Tabitha was sent back to from at the moment she was because Boyd was going to capture one of the monsters. Notice how there has not been a single mention of Boyd's plan to capture a monster since Tabitha arrived, it feels too well timed for it not to have been the purpose to derail Tabitha from seeing the original bottle tree and to stop Boyd from capturing a monster. I don't think it's ever been addressed why the monsters can't come out in the daytime, so I would like to see what happens to them in sunlight.
I loved your points and thoughts, they were well put together. But that damn giggle, though... It makes it so much harder to watch, at least for me. But keep up the good work :)
He scaled the laugh back A LOT in this video. I'm so glad because I love watching his videos, but couldn't tolerate the laugh. Thank you Mr. TH-camr for toning that down. Sorry I don't remember your name. I legit have a brain injury and memory issues from that.
episodes like this I wish they would really start working together instead of being enemies towards each other because of the town and how they are stuck there. nobody seems to think that these monsters are in one spot where all the electronics is in any other thing that they can get their hands on that they can use against them and I honestly think that there is somebody in their group that is already a monster that constantly leaves at night because how else would you sit here and say they get in some type of information
I feel like what happened to Dale will reinforce Boyd's leadership again, so maybe the Big Bad didn't count on that happening? If they don't listen to Boyd, see what might happen? That kind of thing.

Ngl I'm boyd in taking out the crows after they repeated what I said during the day without being around at all and after finding out that bird ran thru the window when they old lady pulled out the taro cards I'd immediately assume the birds are connected to the monsters
What if we instead interpret the title of the show itself in the reflection of a philosophical concept. Where does happiness come FROM? a reflection from how bad things could be? In order to appreciate life, in order to feel alive, there has to be something that is overcome. It is why no matter how much anyone has in life, everyone always has something to bitch about. We spend so much time focusing on how horrible things are when they are amazing. However there is something beautiful about how these people have found happiness, joy, and hope even in a place that twists everything good against you.
also: It seems (potentially) that a lot of the characters came here at times in their lives where they didnt know how they could continue on but were trying to find a way to have hope and purpose. (Losing a child and trying to keep living, struggling with extreme addiction and finally getting help to move on, having terminal illness to a level where you carry around drugs to kill yourself yet trying to travel and find purpose, A veteran struggling with ptsd who no longer has his work to distract him trying to just be a father(boyd). Now they are all in a place where everything forces you to struggle. The constant change means you always have a purpose, there is always something to learn, or fight, or discover. This town has given them all purpose.
“They touch, they break, they steal. No one here is free. Here they come, they come for three, unless you stop the melody.” - the nursery rhyme... 3 cicada victims, 3 totems and 3 red stones? Boyd toched smiley, he broke the music box(did he steal the talimans?) or did victor steal the jasper doll? or tabitha broke the window(by being pushed?) or broke the house?
Kenny's mom wasn't the first time they did something like this they impaled Kelly on the tree (through the head) and made her watch them kill her bf and left her there for the town people (it ended up being Boyd) to kill her.

0:36 That dog is the entity. Doggo: "- We don't break yo? We'll see!"
dang...
I hope she births the smiley man, that was the best monster.
We saw the same when the Randall was laying on the forest floor with white eyes. The monsters didn't hurt him.
I find it ironic that Nikki, the one who gets shot and feasted on by Fatima, is also the one who was rude to Fatima....
i found that odd.
Also she’s the one that touched the “bad juju crow” that the bus driver said she wasn’t gonna touch so she didn’t get any bad juju
It could also mean that Fatima is turning into a monster and maybe that’s how the monsters, who were once human, turned into monsters. The town gave them a taste for flesh and made them monsters
Hold it right there.......youre onto something @@sekoaib
It's like the entity from the Hotel in Angel, feeding off the humans pain and betrayal
And to think this is the best From channel on youtube
Several of the season 1 monsters haven't come back. I'm guessing because of reduced budget. But I wonder if they'll ever explain it in universe? i.e., maybe those monsters were busy somewhere else doing something away from town.
I noticed that too. Like the boy monster from episode 1 (or maybe episode 2) that knew Julie's name, I'm surprised he didnt come back to taunt Julie more.
There is more than one evil entity. Possibly four.
How so?
Six
3.5
How do you come up with these numbers
@@JULIAOVLOGSZthe dog /jasper/ the monsters/ the music box/ the witch that Ellis sees /the mastermind/ and the deeman
wait.. at 8:51 you can see Victor's dad's head support thing with the label reading 'mabuse'... is this relating to Dr.Mabuse?!?
Randell screwed hisself. He could have ran and swatted at the Cicadas. He flopped like a NBA player was his own fault and caused his own demise.
I think the monsters will eventually try to break Boyd by doing something to Ellis.
@@caroldouglas3923 that’s what I’m saying I don’t think they knew when she escaped that she’ll be back but they was alerted to their arrival when they got back
@@Stonecoldalstonthat makes sense
these monsters were also someone s childhood nightmare
Wrong wrong wrong right wrong wrong wrong
Sorry. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong right wrong wrong I meant
@@gaeouhgaeae I have to agree. Though the last part about Boyd would make for an iconic ending to the show. Also Tabitha is too young to be Victor's sister and is Hispanic her own mom is alive and well. Victor is 56yo ...but M3ntally about 10.
@@MuantanamoMobile yes that part alright. I would say that it's even likely that he's going to die .
Great psychological analysis of the (writer's) entity. 👏🏾
Awesome work here
When you say Boyd abandoned Randall, the way I look at it is he betrayed him. I think with all the motifs we have seen since season one its clear we are looking at the story of the sun and solar cycle. Season three has been the fall into the winter solstice, Scorpio is the kiss of death and betrayer of the sun. Randall is also personifying Hydra, the wounded beast.
Drugs is gud man
@@gaeouhgaeaehell yeah brother
So the monsters have started to shriek again. . .
ngl this makes so much sense and i love it
i also think that the town doesnt only fear boyd but his ability to make people unite even when they are completely broken
like kenny / jade should be completely broken by now and depressed yet we see they still are trying and thats mostly because of boyd
victors father that hope is what kept people together and boyd is that hope
Was the dog the way the monsters heard Boyd say you dont break me?
We also don't know if something happend to Dale before he ended up in the wall and after he entered the tree. Could something have happened before that. And then he ended up in the pool. Or was it straight from the tree directly to the pool. I don't know.
They need Ash from Evil Dead to take some BOOMSTICK and chainsaw go those monsters.
😅😂
The town also needs buffy the vampire slayer. She can easily kill those creatures with weapons
Had a thought i think everything that is happening whoever is controlling this game once they heard Boyd rebel against them by saying "you can't break me" and now we see how the monsters are more terrifying not towards boyd but the people he cares for which i believe this season something might happen to his son due to Fatiama they will make boyd break that's all whoever is over seeing this wants everyone is just apart of this game other than a few other characters i thin this season will end with a broken boyd and maybe we will see that Boyd's actions are the cause of the snow and no food and people dying it will all fall back on boyd because everyone trusts him to lead but he cannot save everyone cause he has no power to do so
Oh yeah from the last video could the little boy in white actually be the entity?
they’re a hivemind. we see them all stop at the same time in season two. the real question is: who is the queen bee?
Nothing high brow about Boyd leaving Randall behind. He had to make that choice. Save one person or three people? What would a soldier do? Easy choice. Plus Randall is expendable. Not Tabatha who’s just come back after leaving this trap.
You did good job. It makes perfect sense. This video is a gem.
Very well said.
It is a horror show, I don’t know what you mean.

I got to ask, how was the zombie old lady able to pick up the talisman? If it effects the enclosed space then doesn't the physical body , the structure itself on which the formula of talisman is inscribed protected?
Yes it held the talisman through the string attached but still, Why?
I agree, the mouse traps is unique
Remember Boyd said to Sara “they use to scream all night before the talisman now the whisper I always wondered why is that”! I wonder too they scream when Tab argue with Jim like it’s some point of communication.
Monsters trying to break Boyd rather than kill him is like a drawn out version of a Bond Villain waxing poetic instead of just killing 007. I love the show though. I also noticed something at the beginning of this video when you showed Smiley dying. Was he crying I think I see some tears? Did his humanity come back to him right before he died?
since the talismans won't let the monsters inside, I have a feeling some sort of curse is going on
I think it’s more scary that their smart
responses. Problem. Reaction.
Hasnt been years in the show
Will Boyd find and use the bear trap that Kristi stepped on to catch one of the monsters?
I doubt that will do anything. They can get shot by guns and it doesn’t do nothing
Now I want to know who made those talisman did the entity made it or other people and why was it hidden
Did the entity put those talisman there like power ups in a Mario game
Idk how this show will go but I just hope it will make sense in the end and dont just ignore questions or keeping more questions.
i was thinking that, if its afraid of him why leave him alive
Maybe if he dies he wakes up. Maybe it's all a dream and if boyd dies he is more powerful and he can release everyone else????? Not sure
I legit have a brain injury and memory issues from that.
cool breakdown
The entity is reminiscent of Kronos and the Titans. They were also treating humans like toys.
episodes like this I wish they would really start working together instead of being enemies towards each other because of the town and how they are stuck there.
nobody seems to think that these monsters are in one spot where all the electronics is in any other thing that they can get their hands on that they can use against them and I honestly think that there is somebody in their group that is already a monster that constantly leaves at night because how else would you sit here and say they get in some type of information
Three anghkooey kids that show up at Tabitha’s house.
Genuinely ✨
I would agree with the Diddy and his oily profilactic. But it's much bigger than that..... It the alubanaughty. Lol
Kenny's mom wasn't the first time they did something like this they impaled Kelly on the tree (through the head) and made her watch them kill her bf and left her there for the town people (it ended up being Boyd) to kill her.
I just hope this show has a good ending.
Man in yellow is the real threat probably pulling all the strings
Either him or the dog, which the dog can also take the shape of a human. The dog must go!
Who is the man in yellow please?
I think it has something to do with everyones individual fears manifesting in a way they can harm anyone
I dont think randall being left is going to have that big of an effect on boyds leadership. He saved 3 1/2 people. I say 1/2 cause the cop took a life
This show is from the makers of Lost, I believe there is not one entity but a good vs evil again, like the boy in white who seems to guide them and keep them safe in some scenes, and then the darker force that is trying to break them.
One of the monsters tells Boyd "you can't save them all". Does this hint that Boyd will be able to save some of them but not all of them?
Ok, so if they want to break Boyd, why the just cant simply kill him ?
I think I’ll go back to season one because it all connects
