- Let me introduce you to the Kawasaki ZX4RR (not to be confused with the Ninja 400, although it is a bit confusing...), I have this bike to ride and enjoy for a few weeks!
I'm 3 days in, and having a really great time riding it on my usual favourite roads, trying to get a good mix of fast and slow and learn what it's like in all areas... Here are some initial thoughts about the bike - I hope you like it!
Kawasaki makes such great motorcycles.
Just got the zx6r. Absolute weapon
The bike looks stunning and sounded gorgeous when you opened her up 😍
Fantastic review Liz!
Took delivery of mine last month. Still running in at the moment but it's a lot of fun. Can't wait till I can open her up!😊
Great video again Liz! Keep up the great work! 🙂
Good review Liz. My big powerful bikes sit in the garage. I prefer to ride my Ninja 400 and i believe 90% of riders would be safer and faster on this bike [ZXR400] in normal yearly use. No need for a suite of fancy electronics.
This was such a good bike review. I know what to expect If I was to take it for a test ride. Cheers
I like how you tell the truth on your experience. great video on zx4rr
I had a Kawasaki zxr400 at the end of the 90s it was a true pocket rocket and red lined at 16000. I Loved it, unfortunately I’m not as bendy now I am in my 50s, but please a new generation will get to feel the joy of these type of bike.
I picked one up a few months ago and am in my late 50's. Riding position is not as aggressive as say the the old ZXR400, ZX7, etc. It still works for this older fart.
@@josefmd Excellent! Hope you are enjoying it. 👍
Lovely weather down there, and a great honest review. I know it's taken some stick for its weight but it is a nice looking bike for a 400 and looks more like a 600+ bike which will tick someones box. Hope to see Pinky back soon 😁
Hi Liz. Another great little video that makes me smile thanks 👏👏👏. I know what you mean about riding a smaller engine bike when my 1300 was in for service they gave me a loan bike which was a 600 I had so much fun it took me back a few years 🤣😂🤣but I did have a bit of back pain when I took it back. 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂. Take care out there the cops have a new fleet of unmarked bikes and cars this year I sore some in Chichester in the week.
Wonder if anyone makes a taller seat for the ZX4rr. Would get you into a more aggressive riding position. Probably would have bought one of these instead of a 600 if they had been around long enough to be showing up in the used market. The sensation of speed is more enjoyable than actual performance imho. Being able to wring out 3 gears to 15k rpms on a back road sounds like the ideal motorcycle to me. If you want to hit 15k in 3rd on a 600 you need open freeway.
What a drug that beautiful machine would be. I could become very hooked on the beautiful symphony The engine makes. ❤️
Great review! The laws are so different for you guys than for us here in the US, but I think I prefer the British laws more in this case. The US has one of the highest fatality rates for motorcyclists and while there are probably many things that contribute to this I do believe that speed and licensing laws play a large role. Keep it up Liz and ride safe!
Enjoyable video.
brill video. love that you mention about the personality of a bike, when i was test riding bikes before my tenere i was saying to people the KTM was boring its like there was no personality about the bike. everyone looked at me the way a dog does when you show them a card trick. Glad to know im not insane saying a machine lacks personality ill sleep a little bit better cos of that.
Good move Liz keeping an eye out for suspicious looking cars following you especially following close. Unmarked police cars do that to see if you will speed away over the limit then they have their day. Watch out for filming where the speedo can be seen if you accidentally go over the limit too.
Nice bike and good to hear your views on it.
Cheers👍
Awesome bike! 150 mph that’s as much as my Triumph 675 you have to get the bike you were on! Performance sounds great 👍
just bought mine for my very first bike about a month ago. its perfect.
Didn’t consider how it’d be as a first bike but you’re right it must be spot on 😁
...but, Liz forgot2 overtake ALL the CARS... while you were givin the lowdown...🤣😀😁🤣 Bol.lol.
@@R1_Liz My nephew wants one for a first bike. I don't have enough experience to recommend it. I was thinking a Ninja 400 or 500 especially considering insurance cost. We live in the States.
I'm thinking of getting a Zxr4rr undecided atm the moment. Maybe a RS660 or a SV650 anyways it s the rider not the bike in the end.....like the junker I'm daily atm it's about fun really. Good reviews on the ninja Liz
nice ride❤🎉🎉🎉
I had two 400cc sports bones back in the 90s and they have amazing engines ,if you keep the revs high you can keep with the 1000cc bikes you can also use it found town in traffic. Ask laine if he rode the honda vfr400
Nice review Liz on a stunning machine, I would buy one but £10k is too much for a 400cc machine. Nice to see you get a Kawasaki 😊
£10 is not too much for a passion project
Smaller bikes are fun you can actually use the rev range where on a 1000cc you can well exceed the speed limit in 1st gear
Did you say top speed is 150? is that right that seems high?
Had a 2019 R1, horrible ergos and they did not sell, this is a good compromise of in between ergos - somebody is using their head about sales. Got this bike purely for the fun factor of taking down bigger bikes in the canyons, my little dragonslayer!😎
...but, Liz forgot2 overtake ALL the CARS... while you were givin the lowdown...🤣😀😁🤣 Bol.lol.
Smaller bikes do seem to act like bigger bikes now and this is because they are getting bigger, just in appearance. Thing is its all very well buying or owning a 1000+cc bike though unless you're going to be doing a lot of long distance riding, two up riding or a lot of touring I don't quit see much of a point in them as we don't really have the roads for them in the UK as is.
Big fan of il4 400’s and this looks great but a real shame they went with a steel frame when most of the “legacy” 400’s had an aluminium frame. I just can’t stand that elastic feeling around the headstock when you push a steel frame through high speed direction changes, plus as you mentioned it’s not really that light. Good review though.
This is what I don’t get the north Americans already get the bike restricted and we want to unlock it. The British I guess UK at large gets the bike fully unlocked but wants to restrict it. I think somebody at Kawasaki read the notes wrong lol
Looks like a cool bike, but when I grow up I wanna be like you and have an S1000RR, or maybe just the S1000R, since I'm actually bordering on old man territory now.
The "noise comes before the action" - basically like most men then 🤣
Youre the type of person to laugh at your own jokes aren’t you
🤣😂😀🤣😁
And? @@adamschannel8685
150mph out of a 400? Crazy! Sounds lovely, though.
Big numbers for a tiny bike, if I didn’t fear consequence I’d have a go 😂
I was wondering, would you change the colour to Pinky 2. Or would this be sacrilege. Assuming you had the bike & the riding position was right for you?
I think you're mistaken unless the UK gets a different motorcycle, because in North America the red line is 16,000 RPM not 18,000 can you check that and get back to me
Redline at 16k rpm, maxes as 18k
👋😘
It’s not raining 🎉🎉
A real treat 😁🥳
Them boots need some oiling...lol 😁😁😎😎
Bas biraz bas 😂
Woah. Why commentators so nice in here meanwhile other youtubers ninja 400cc zx4 got bashed
