I can't believe it, I was 13 years old in 1968, and my Uncle took me and my friend to the Hollywood Bowl to see The Doors, Steppenwolf, and The Chambers Brothers. Wow!!
You're truly lucky!
@Kermitmefroggy Thank you, they actually made a concert video of that show. It's amazing!✌️😃☮️
@DebH. I've seen a little bit of that show! Pretty cool considering it was in 68, 56 years ago! Do you remember what kind of seats you had? As in front row or clear in the back?
Rest in Peace Ray Manzerek 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Daryl for inviting these two great musicians to play with your band at your house... This is really cool, The Doors..!!! What an incredible band... These two Rock stars playing there, live, like it was yesterday, with the same feeling as when Jim was alive...! And it's really great to hear your fantastic voice covering these rock classics! May good old Ray be with Jim today making these songs wherever he wants them to be together on the other side of the door! Greetings from Argentina, Daryl..! And never stop making good music, no matter who it is!
Ditto with a Capital D ❤
Kenny Aronoff as usual being 100% solid and perfect on the drum kit. He is so good, only the musicians notice him.
I noticed he did a tour with Robert Mirabal a few years ago, and I know he played with John Mellencamp at one time. Believe me WE notice him:-)
He played with John Fogerty too.
I was gonna ask his name...I've greatly admired his work at the Kennedy Center Honors performances.
I always notice great drummers. They're kinda hard to ignore, especially with rock and roll music. I love a good drum solo.
Ray always seemed like such a good hang! Loved The Doors! They're perhaps the most polarizing R'nR band ever. SO many people I've met over the years say they 'just hate them'
I don't get it - wholly original great hits, great albums.
I dig this slower bluesy version🤘😎🤘
Robbie Krieger! Just to hear this man getting off... goosebumps!
I love this band Daryl - I miss Ray's spiritual musings and the way he'd call earth the Blue Marble. Robby is always calm cool and collected. How cool to jam and enjoy sandwiches at the house, and to kind of be there with you all. Great musicians all of you and great performance of Roadhouse Blues, a song that never gets old! Let it roll all night long. Love it - thanks.
Love that 60’s music I have been so fortunate to have grown up listening to all of this amazing music. Thank you Daryl for everything you do.
No this video shows how incredibly talented these artists are , not trying to replace anyone ! Morrison is one of a kind , they are jamming period , get a grip man ! They damn sure weren't recording a album ! Love and Peace !
Anyone who has tried to put a group together knows how difficult it can be to find the perfect partners. When you think of how some groups came together and how perfectly the members compliments each other, its almost as if some higher power was involved and I'm not a believer! But the Doors, the Stones, the Beatles, etc., how is it possible that they were all in the right place at the right time?
These guys are simply legends.
'Woke up this morning and got myself a beer '!!
The future's uncertain?
And the end is always near '!!..
Sounds f*cking great Guys!!...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.. The best one yet....
Great, sounds so good!
Nice soulful version
Ray was a fukin genius! Met him and Michael McClure when they were playing a gig in an auditorium in ABQ years ago. Hung out with Ray afterwards. Couple months later I was in Seattle and spoke with Ray again at a gig and went backstage and he introduced me to Allen Ginsberg! Sweet!
Thank you, i don't smile more anywhere than when i for the first or hundredth time watch u guys do your magic.....AWESOME>>>Sounds like a really chill roadhouse you'd always wanna be....
Loved Ray's work with X ~ Soul Kitchen was so Damn Cool!!
The groove on this kicks ASS ! YES !
What a kewl version of this classic. This was such a greezzy jam. Absolutely fantastic.
Hell yea, one of the great, easiest to cover doors songs ever, had the drummer sing it. This is a great version done by originals and great sit ins. Thanks for this, the Doors were a serendipity of the time, and timeless. Thanks, Daryl,,thanks all you guys.
Muito bom! Baita som! The Doors is incredible! 🎸🎶🇧🇷
My first album was LA Woman! Great music! Interesting facts! Ty! ❤
Thank you that was amazing😁
Simply awesome!!
Beautifully, amazing!❤🌹❤😊🌹😘
I love this more bluesy version. I’m absolutely sure Jim would have too!
Fantastic
Awesome version. Love it! 🥰 😊
These songs in particular (The Doors) are so much fun because of the different, bluesy vibe Darryl infuses them with. Not just recreating old classics. I was at that Singer Bowl show as well (discussion starts 2:43) and can confirm that it went down that way, with chair throwing and a semi-riot and the cops leading the band offstage. Kangaroo (Barbara Keith) opened, then The Who, and then The Doors. Flushing, NY, summer of (I think) '68.
Good old fashion jam great vibe and exchanges
roadhouse blues if it came from the riders on the storm universe. 🙏
I was amazed when I found out who did the original harmonica part -under an alias - it was John Sebastion !
Who couldn't use a lovin' spoonful of John Sebastian on harp!
so groovy!
🙏 ❤ 🌹 T-Bone & Ray 🌹 ❤ 🙏
So many cool guests. 🎉 Have you ever had Tommy James or Lou Gramm on?
Kenny !!!!!!
Daryl può cantare ciò che vuole 💯👍🤩
old friend Bob the Iceman RIP had great #JimMorrison stories. ✌🧡
This video only shows that NOBODY can replace THE LIZARD KING, MR. MOJO RISIN.
No it represents that they are just doing their thing that’s Ray you’re talking about with out him Jim wouldn’t be the lizard king, F Off!
Absolutely
Obvious. I don’t think Darryl is even trying to “replace” him
Around the 6 minute mark Robbie finds another gear 🔥
No one can compare to Morrison. Roadhouse blues a classic. Thanks Daryl for trying.
My favorite version will be by Status Quo on their famous 1976 Live album recorded at Glasgow Apollo
❤
whats with the 360 resolution man? great video though.
Black Friday Road House
😂 Good observation!! Wait, did you mean that because this video was released on Black Friday or because it sounded like the Steely Dan song??
@@brushstroke3733 Steely Dan
Beyond Awesome if that's even possible...
Jim would of been proud ...
.. and you wanna laugh
This is one of the first songs I taught My Sons.
Jase ❤ and Luke ❤
Except...lol
I changed it up just a tad....
I woke up this morning and I got myself..lol..a juice 🧃...
Omg so not kidding
To this day they both still sing it that way.
Just in case you were wondering..
. which I'm sure you weren't........🙂..
Enough Said
Or what
Just had to......
Share 🙂
.. and keep em coming!
You guys definitely definitely have it going on........
... and then some!
Did you keep "the future's uncertain and the end is always near?" That seems like a more dangerous lyric than "beer"!
light house blues...
Morrison was the GREATEST front man of all time.
Date/year of taping is missing from description.
I feel I should know this, but I don't. Who is the guitarist wearing the stocking cap? He looks familiar but is not identified in the notes. I've looked up the other players listed and he isn't one of them.
Ray: I just had to go the bathroom. I had to go pee-pee. 🤣
Ray Manzerek is Class Personified!
The other side?
Why is this 360p?
Who is playing drums? When I first saw him I thought Paul Schafer had been invited, then I saw him playing drums.
I'm pretty sure it's Kenny Aronoff
What year was this? Ray is no longer with us.
It was 2009. Ray passed in 2013.
T Bone passed in 2010
Only one missing is John Densmore. 🥁
Is that kenny arnof of the drums?
Yes
r o c k
Go into Darells house u better have ur shit together!!
Manzarekも、Kriegerも、楽しそうで何より。ところで、Daryl Hallには関係ないけど、Travis Meeksはなぁにやってんの(苦笑)。
Class One Musicians!
No disrespect.
But this is a tune best left alone.
Ray Manzarek died a while ago.
You get what you need to read ..
As close to the Blues as white guys should get ! Loved It...
Love Daryl’s legendary voice, but it doesn’t fit this song at all. Doesn’t matter much at the end, so joyful to watch the performance! ❤
I like Hall and oates. Good stuff thru the years. But ive never been a fan of the Doors not my favorite. Take care 😊😊
what happens when you invite 25 lucky egomaniacs to the same party? Would love to be a fly on the ceiling listening to all the bullshit.
Most uncomfortable LFDH I've watched
yikes....does this show matter now.........?
Jeff Healy did it better.
I saw the doors sing this live. This rendition was horrible.
i think the leather is kinda cool...
To loud and to fast for where they started , they should have kept it bluesy but thanks I’m going to bring it down!
when was this done some of these guys are death ???
